Pita Pizza

I'm a big pizza lover. We used to have pizza somtimes twice a week but now of course that no longer happens.
Last night for dinner I put my homeade pizza sauce on a whole wheat pita with some reduced fat moz. cheese and I baked them in the oven and made a tossed salad to go along with it. I kept looking at my husbands face to get his reaction and he said he didn't think it was too bad. What made it nice was the pita got really crispy so you feel like you're eating a real peice of pizza but the pita being whole wheat definetly gave it a different taste. I'll make it again when I have that pizza craving. I think next time I'll make the BL sausage that is in the BL cookbook and add that on top.

Sounds really good, Bella. I'm alway happily surprised when my family will eat the healthier foods I'm cooking these days, too. The other night we had a curried yellowfin tuna that comes in a pouch from Trader Joe's. I added some steamed vegetables to the tuna and sauce and served it over brown rice. I expected complaints about the tuna, the curry sauce, the vegetables, AND the brown rice...but there were no complaints about any of it! Amazing!
