Unhappy Biggest Loser online info?

A week or so ago I thought I had heard there was a web page available for individuals interested in joining an online BL group. Supposedly exercise programs and nutritional information was available, and it was all supposed to be FREE.

That's how I found this group by searching for the other source. Does anyone know anything about an web-page that provides the workouts and diet information like that? I'm SOOOOOO SICK of everyone wanting money to join their diet / weight loss group. Honestly, if I had the extra finances don't you think I'd get a local dietician and join Curves or something like that?

I know what you mean. I don't know much about the BL Club but I do know that my husband and I are going to work really hard to come up with recipes and excercises and nutrional info to put on the other site ( www.the-biggest-loser.com) which is completly free and if there is anything in particular you want to know about please let me know and I will get the info for you

I know what you mean.

I am right there with you on the finances - it is tough b/c you go through the whole ordeal with filling out questions and getting your BMI and then at the end you have to pay something each month. I am trying my best on figuring out how to eat healthy and what the best exercise regimen is for me. I would also join Curves if I had the money - the money just isn't there but I am in need of some help. I am applying to be on Season 3 of the Biggest Loser and hope that they see something in me...and are willing to help me out.

Me too

Hey, I have to second or third or fourth with you on the finances thing. If I can just put in my two cents worth on the subject. I found my little local library to be a goldmine for good information, low cal cooking, cookbooks, workouts, it's really almost endless. I got the library card for free and whatever books I found out about that they didn't have they've been able to "borrow" from another library in the system. Thankfully, my library's books and the access to the books has "taught" me quite a bit about nutrition and exercise. Of course, the internet is full of info too. But I agree with you guys. I would love to see good, solid information from Jillian and Bob as to exact menus, calorie counts, etc. for the participants on the show. I want to know how they figure out which plans to give which people. Is it the same for everyone or are they tailored to fit certain body types? Oh, and one more idea I have. If you work outside the home post a notice or something for all the people to start a video/dvd share program. Everyone who participates has to put some kind of workout/exercise video or dvd into the "pot." And then you check one out, keep it for a week and then do it again. Think of the variety!

Allie great idea on the excersie video plan. And I'm right up there with you on the cost of everything. What do they say, weight loss it like 50 billion dollar yearly industry or something outragous like that. The worst part is that most of it is waster on plans that are gimecs and don't work. They need to get the right information out there to people that is free.

nothings for free

I agree with you about the money issues. I too would join a health club if I had the money. I was disappointed that the BL Club charged. They are making so much off of the show that I thought that it would not cost much of anything if not being offered free. It is the diet industry that has everyone so messed up anyway. They tell us one day to eat a certain food and the next they say it is bad for you. My metabolism is so out of whack that I don't know which end is up. I just want a good reliable eating lifestyle that works and that I can live with.

Beth, is there any chance that you could post some of the recipes and nutrional info on the forum as well?

That is my goal so stay tuned, hopefully I'll be able to have some stuff available soon. I'll let you know when it goes up. How much does it cost to join the BL club anyway?

I would like to fifth that! ha-ha I would love to have Bob and Jillian chime in on the forum with some good advice for us all. I agree with the library card and share thing and I know there there is some good advice out there. But, right now I really want to concentrate on what the Biggest Loser has to offer. After seeing that it really works for all sort of people, I do not want to get sidetracked by all of the other information and misinformation that is out there. It seems like I have already been there and done all of that. I am really hoping that this will be the solution for me.

BL Club

I believe it is about $20 a month to join the BL club. It sounds good, I just know that after paying $38 a month for my gym, I was hoping not to have to spend another $20 a month on the BL club. I know that once you pay the 1st month, you have 10 days to get your money back. I just do not like to have to give out my credit card information if I am not sure that it is something I will do. It would be great if they would let you have a 10 day free trial without having to pay something first, then you would have the choice to join or not join.
