I don't know if you have an Aldi's brand store around your area or not, but they have a new line of foods that are Fit and Light (or something like that). Honestly their prices aren't much higher than the fatty food prices, and I'm pretty sure I paid the same for my reduced fat dressing as the fully loaded stuff. They also have "Fruit Dazzle" 100% naturally flavored sparkling beverage. It's $.49 for a 1 liter bottle. I figure I was normally spending @ $2.50 a week anyway on pop, why not splurge and spend the extra buck for something that's way healthier for me!!!!! Yeah for me!!!! I'm not sure, but I think I've replaced my pop with water. I did have a pop yesterday, but that was because I was out of water. Guess who beat tail to the store today to buy some? I even made a special trip, and with four kids, I'm not normally one to hit the store several times a week.

My sister has an Aldi's where she lives. She is always talking about what a cool store it is. I wish we had one but unfortunately in my town Super Wal-Mart is the only option we have.

We have an Aldis here and buy a lot of the light and fit brand of the canned fruits and chicken broth. It's a great store. Actually their fresh fruit a lot of times are really good (sometimes they aren't - but it's like that at most stores)

Aldi's

We have an Aldi's store in the next town..it is tough b/c I used to live in that town and did all of my shopping besides our meat. I do most of my shopping @ Super Wal-Mart, too...actually all of it now that I think of it. lol If I'm thinking right I had eaten the Fit & Light Yogurt...it was good.

Does anyone else feel a nasty taste in their mouth now when they eat fatty foods? It almost as if I have a tub of lard left on my tongue after eating something fatty. I was wondering if anyone else felt the same way?

Absolutely. It is strange, it took me awhile to get used to reduced fat, and fat free foods. Now that I have, everything else tastes off. My mom friend some eggplant about a week ago, I took a bite and then had to dab it with a paper towel because I felt like it had so much grease.

Yes, my tastes have definitely changed. These days, I love the fresh healthy taste of fruit and veggies and could never eat the rich fatty foods that I used to love!
