was it just me....

or did Matt from last season look a bit chubbier. I mean yes I realize, it will be a lifelong struggle for some but I thought he lost more weight than that before. I wonder if the new contestants could tell. Just thought I would ask. Suzy still looked great. Hey anyone who is 5'2,5'3 180-above email me. I am looking for people similiar to my size so we can compare measurments or weight. I am bottom heavy with thick arms. My trouble spots.

No it wasnt just you. He looked great a year ago. But since then he has been gaining and losing all over the place. I think he definitely still has issues with this. Suzy will be gaining with her pregnancy but she still looked really good.

I am 4'11 and my original weight was 214 so I know where you are coming from.

No, he's stated in interviews that he's struggled. His weight goes up and down. Suzy looked great; glowing and happy.

Its a huge struggle and I admire him for coming out and saying that he has gone up and working his way back down. Thats an amazing role model, so many of us (er ME) get so upset when we gain any of our weight back that we go downhill and add more weight on. He didnt cut himself down, just stated the facts that its life, and we need to not let those little setbacks bring us down so much.

I agree with y'all completely. It is always going to be a struggle. I'm glad Matt is being honest about that. And I'm glad no one ( at least no one I've heard) is gloating over Matt's struggles.
I would love to see updates on all of last years' participants. That's the toughest part of the battle, right? Keeping it off.... So I would love to hear about their struggles, successes, setbacks, and how they deal with them.
It helps me to know that it happens -- it's not the end of the world -- and it doesn't mean you should just throw your hands in the air saying 'I give up!"

It looked like he gained a great deal of weight back, (220-230ish or so) but maintaining extreme loss of weight in my opinion is harder than losing it. It is difficult to make a temporary change to your life by doing some dieting and excercise, but when having to make a lifelong committment to it, hurdles will occur. I hope he can find his way again.
