Francine's Journal

Well I'm still having problems getting my breakfast in. I have tried to do it by the 3rd day I just can't get myself to eat. I'm just not hungry in the mornings. What I have been doing is stop eating around 7:30 in the evening hoping that would help. That isn't helping me at all. I can get my lunch in most days. I do have my fruit and veggies as my snack.
A coworker gave me her stepper and I have tried to workout more to speed up my metabolic rate maybe that would help. Maybe I would want to eat when I get up in the mornings. That isn't helping. I'm at my wits end what to do. If I do try, I get really sick to my stomach.
As for me working out I am really trying to stick to my routine. I'm doing great with that.
This pass week I did really well except for Thursday my oldest daughter took me out to dinner to "Buffalo Wings and Curls" it was 50 cents night on boneless wings. I had 10 that were ok but I just had one complaint. They were way to hard to chew. I felt I was chewing on a bone. I did have the ranch sauce and mild sauce with my wings.
On Friday morning I was sick to my stomach with all that grease. By noon I was ok. So my lesson for the week is no buffalo wings for me.
So today will be getting my daughter ready for school on Monday and planning out our menu for the next week.

Welcome back Francine! I like wings too but they pack a whollop. We used to go to Quaker Steak and Lube and those Ranch ones I had once were swimming in grease. But the ranch dressing was to die for!

Hope things have gotten better since you last posted. What are you trying to eat for breakfast? Try a little protein like cottage cheese and fruit or some yogurt...something to get started. Breakfast is the most important part of the day. (stinks I know cuz I am not a breakfast person either). But it will set the tone for the rest of the day. Not eating it, or eating the wrong food will cause your blood sugar to spike and then you get a huge attack of the killer hungries later on.

Advanced menu planning is a GREAT idea. Keep up the great work!

hey hunny! hope that things are going a little better for you breakfast wise. What do you normally try to eat for breakfast? I always eat 2 omega-3 eggs, 2 pieces whole grain whole wheat toast and 1/2 a banana with a cup of milk/green tea. I used to have the exact same problem that you do...eating too early in the morning and it making you feel sick to your stomach. The only thing that I did was force myself to eat it anyways...eventually my body got used to having the food at that time and then when I'd wake up my body would want food. I guess just eat it and deal with the icky sick feeling until you get used to it.
