Weight Woody, Weight!

Ok, so I haven't lost any weight this week, but it's probably my own fault. I slacked off on Monday before last, because I wanted to spend time with my husband before his business trip. Was lazy Tuesday and didn't work out. Did wimpy work outs on Wednesday and Thursday.

A friend told me I was her inspiration when I wrote up how I was slacking in my on-line journal. Told me how she even went out and joined a gym because of me. Lol... so I went back to working out regularly on Friday and then made up for one of the earlier days by going in Saturday.

Work is getting better, but it still allows a lot to get used to. I'm feeling a bit more confident, so my appetite has retured. (Previously my stomache was tied in knots due to being so nervous on the new job) It seems to be a lot of fun for the most part, which I'm very happy about.

Glad to hear you are feeling a bit better about the whole new job thing. I am also really glad to hear you enjoy it, the confidence comes as you are there longer, but I am glad you are feeling better about things.

Also, don't beat yourself up because you didn't lose anything this week. You have been under a lot of stress with your new job, so once things cool down, I am sure you will be more comfortable going full force again with your eating and your workouts. Just got to stay positive and keep pushing yourself to obtain those goals!

did my work out 5 times this week.. skipped friday to clean house, but made up for it today. didn't get to do my ten minutes of stairs because they were all full. =( my gym only has 4 stair masters. other than that, things are going ok.

husband is home this week and no business trips. he actually cooked for us (a rare-ity) and made spaghetti. house is clean, work is going well, dogs are being good (for the most part). =) thank God for small blessings.

body is feeling good. feeling a bit lighter. here's hoping!

oh and one thing i noticed... i find it funny on the way up in weight i felt icky at my current weight and wanted to hide.. however on the way down, i feel fantastic and want to show off. kinda ironic.

lol -- I know just what you mean. I was HORRIFIED at 160 -- 170 - 180 - 190 - and so on. And I always thought I looked so bad -- how could it get any worse? But it always did.
Now, I'm in the 180's, and while I know I have such a long way to do, it is funny about how happy I am to be here. And how good it feels.
Like today -- shopping I tried on a size 14. It wasn't that long ago that I was squeezing into a 16, if I was lucky. Well, the 14's fit-- no problem. I didn't buy them, because I didn't like them that much -- but not because they didn't fit!
I remember hanging my head in shame, at wearing a size 14 -- now I wanted to tell everyone ' They FIT they FIT!!'
It's just a difference in perspective. But it is a MUCH better feeling!!
Great job on your workouts. Sounds like things are going great for you . Enjoy the rest of your weekend!!!
Carol

how is it possible for a work out to feel good? i HATE working out. it hurts, it makes me sweat and it's well.... WORK!

but the inner thigh machine thingy.. felt like a could do a bunch more even though i only brought myself up to 70 lbs recently. the treadmill... felt really good today. feels like my legs are lighter. the stair master? i brought it up to level four and did fat burn today and i made it though fine (unlike the other day when i had to bring it down a level).

what is wrong with me? i think i'm going crazy!

haha I know what you mean. I absolutely have a rough time with my workouts, but I love doing it. I am at the gym 5 times a week doing it, I think it's the payoff that makes me feel good about doing it.

did the math tonight... i've lost 8.48% of myself.... so i'm approximately 92% of the woman i used to be.

then i figured i'm 14 lbs into a 35 lbs goal... so i'm 40% of the way there.

wow, that sounds sooooo good! =)

probably going to skip today's workout and make up for it on saturday. had to go down to the health deptartment and take care of some things for work (took on a cross-training position to day care, so i needed vaccinations and a health card). so, hence why i didn't have time to work out this a.m. (work is later on at noon)

invited the husband to work out with me tonight, if i decide to work out anyway. he sounded doubtful, but said "alright i'll think about it". =(. He hasn't been back in a gym since november. i want him to go back so bad, but have no clue how to convince him. i don't want to nag... =P~
