I happy to hear its gone better this time. You only need to weigh in 1 time a week. I'm sure you'll loose those few extra pounds quickly.

Weigh in for the contest is tomorrow. I feel a little pressure just because I am the heaviest one on the team . In actuality I think the pressure is on me and 2 other girls. One other girl wants to lose 15 but I look at her like she is crazy and one guy wants to lose flab but I can't see it. But I haven't seen his stomach either. Anyways this contest is really important to me as a part of the team and individually so I plan to work really hard. I have been really trying to set myself up for success. I have a lot of snacks but I need to buy dinner foods. So I plan to go to BJ's and maybe hit up a Farmer's Market too.

Personal training is going pretty well. I have a session tomorrow and one more after that left of my 5. I plan to purchase more sessions on Monday at my last appt but I plan to buy small group sessions again because I can not afford the 1:1. We'll see how that goes because I know the head trainer was giving me my own trainer initially to try and convince me that it is better and change my mind. Of course 1:1 is better. But he can't change my finances. Unless he plans to pay my bills I will be purchasing small group sessions.

Today is the day. I weigh in and get measurements at 9:15am. I am excited. So I went a little overboard yesterday because I knew from now until November I really need to be on my best behavior. I am feeling it today. My goals are to get into onederland and drink more water. I will attempt to exercise everyday also even if it is only 10 minutes of yoga or 20 minutes of Pilates. I may not start that until the 27th when the contest officially begins because I don't want to burn out too soon. That tends to happen with me if I attempt to do too much at once. Food and water starting today (and the rest of my life). Exercise everyday at least for the 12 week program then probably minimum 3 max 4 days prior to and after the contest. I haven't decided if I will post my beginning and end info here.

Thanks Missy. The results are in. They are not good.

Blood Pressure: 165/98 (too high)

Pulse: 80bpm

Total Cholesterol: 142

HDL: 36 (okay but needs to be higher)

Glucose: 87

Weight: 217 (I am so mad at myself. Prior to the weigh in I gave the scale to my boyfriend to babysit at least until the contest is over because I do better when I am not constantly weighing in. I will weigh in Labor Day for the challenge)

Height: 59.5 inches (I grew half an inch)

Bicep: 17.25

Chest: 50

Waist: 46

Hip: 48.25

BMI: 43.8

Body Fat %: 38.9

Fat weight: 84.5

Lean Weight: 132.4

Hydration %: 47.7 (means I am chronically dehydrated. I have such a problem with drinking water.) I need to drink 108 oz a water a day. You're supposed to drink half your weight in ounces.

So the nurse said my major goals are:
decrease my body fat percentage
increase my hydration level

Here goes.....

Day One:
Today was a good day. A great personal training session. I talked with my trainer and he said it's okay if I still pay for the small group personal training because he will still train me. Sounds great to me. On Monday I will pay for 10 more sessions. I've got one more bottle of water to drink and I will have had 120 oz of water today. Foodwise I did pretty good too. Off to a great start.

Day Two:
It was difficult but I got all of my water in today. Matter of fact I finished my water by 7:30pm as opposed to last night falling asleep and waking up at 11:45pm and realizing I had an entire bottle of water to drink. I start as soon as I get up. Food was pretty good. I went to a Tastefully Simple party tonight so I did need to save up and not do all 3 snacks today so I could do the taste testing and not be rude. So many decadent things. I was proud of the fact I didn't order things that I knew I would go overboard with like pound cake and salsa. In due time, once I get control of my eating. I don't like to deny myself but I know myself well enough to know the salsa and pound cake are a disaster waiting to happen. No exercise today but I plan to do Pilates tomorrow.

Day Three
Yeah, it is 6:45pm and I only have 1 bottle of water left to drink. My goal is to get all of my water intake done by 8pm each night. I think that may help a little with all the going to the bathroom too. I hope so. I will be going grocery shopping tomorrow. Off to BJ's and maybe the Farmer's Market too but I will see how I feel. I had a pretty good food day today too. I am getting a little bored with chicken so I will be looking for some different options at the store tomorrow. Also I think I may order some more things from Tastefully Simple in the near future because they have 1-3 step recipes which is right up my alley. Too many steps and ingredients and I won't do it. Its only been 3 days I have a long way to go with this contest but I am feeling confident. I hope that feeling persists.

You're doing great! And the more consistent days you have, making smart choices, the more it will become a habit. And that's what we want -- to change our old habits to smarter ones!
I have to finish my water by about 8 too, or I am in the bathroom too late.

You are doing such a great job. Don't be so hard on yourself on those days you don't get all your water in. I'm also glad to hear you are sticking with the trainer sessions and toughing it out. Good for you!
