Maltese Phils July Journal

Hi all. As its a new month (already, blimey) I'm starting a new thread for my journal. I maintained my weight at my weigh in which is no big suprise. I must do better this week. Didn't gym at all over the weekend as I've got friends over from the UK.

Drank too much I'm afraid as well as eating too much bbq. I think for the rest of the month I'll steer clear of beer and see how I get on.

I'm back to it with a vengance now. Weights workout this morning. Time to kick some bottom me thinks.

Good week to you all.

Sounds like you had a good weekend. It doesn't hurt to have fun once in awhile. Glad to hear you are going at it full force again this week.

Hi All. Did my personal best on the treadmill and the rowing machine today. I was sweating buckets

Thanks for the encouraging messages again.

Wifely and Baby are doing well.

In other news we've rescued a feral cat that was badly injured in a fight. I normally wouldn't get involved but I hate to see an animal suffer. It's been taken to the vets (at our expense but there you go) and hopefully they can do whats best for it. I'll post more about it tomorrow.

Good job on the treadmill and rowing machine. I wish my gym had a rower. I wanted to join the crew team in college because I was pretty strong in my upper body area. Now I want to do it since my arms need a major overhaul since I have been blowing them off in lieu of my leg muscles. Isnt sweating buckets awesome? I have a huge problem with having an empty gym and then somebody gets on right next to me. It is then that I hope my "eau de exercise" will keep them from getting too close. Plus; the more you sweat, the more in shape you are. Huh? The earlier you begin to sweat; means that your body's cool down system is more improved. I read that somewhere. Maintaining a healthy body temp is essential to good health. Good luck with the kitty. I think it is a great thing you are doing. Especially since the vet bill could be hefty. I am sure the cat will become a liftime friend when all is said and done.

Blimey...I love that word!

awww, I think that is so great what you did for the cat. The world needs more people like you.

I am just curious...what exactly is a rowing machine?

Also known as an indoor rower. http://www.concept2.co.uk/rower/ is similar to the one we have at the gym.

Cat doing ok. The vet stitched up her wound and let us bring her back. She stayed in the cage overnight. Fed her this AM with some antibiotics added to her food then had to let her go. She ran off to sulk I guess but we hope she knows to come back for food since we've been feeding her for weeks.

Did a weights workout today.
