~Missy in July~
A new journal for a new month and a new start at my weight loss. I'm going to try my hardest this month to get the most weight off that I can. I've been slacking big time with my water when I know I shouldn't be. I've been skipping meals and only eating 4 times a day, when I'm supposed to be eating at least 6 times. I need to start kicking my butt. My workouts are great...it's the food and water I need to make improvements on.
Spent the morning cleaning the apartment. Sweeping, mopping, vacumming, dusting, cleaning the litter, the bathroom and the kitchen. Picked up the junk off the floor in our bedroom, hung up some clothes.

 Happy Canada Day!
Sounds like you did some Cardio Cleaning today. I need to get on that too. I just get a one track mind when it comes to weight loss that I forget I have other things to get done too.
Good luck with the diet.

Happy Canada Day! Is it celebrated about the same as the 4th here? Fireworks, bbq's and picnics?
I have a tough time with food too, but I don't know if you are eating what you shouldn't be, or having a hard time eating all the you should. For me, it's always easier to be able to 'do' something, than to 'not do ' something. So, it's always been easier for me to make myself do a workout, than to not eat pizza, or chocolate, or hamburgers. I know-- there are lots of things I CAN and SHOULD eat instead of those. I just have to focus on what I can do, instead of what I can't.
How's the kitty doing? Do you have a hard time keeping the litter box from smelling? Out kitty's are outside now, so there's no litter box in the house anymore, but it always smelled so bad. They would always use it immediately after you cleaned it out. It was the kids' job to keep it clean, so they probably didn't keep up as well as they should.
Man -- I wish I could get you to come and clean my house. I have the best of intentions, but always seem to get distracted. Ahh-- now I see where my kids get that from!

A Brief History of Canada:
It was Canada's 139th birthday yesterday. Canada has a birthday on July 1st. Canada Day is a national holiday in Canada that is celebrated with family picnics, barbeques, and fireworks.
Canada Day is always observed on July 1st unless that date falls on a Sunday, in which case it is observed the following day. (Though many people still celebrate on the Sunday).
A long time ago, Canada belonged to Great Britain. Over time, parts of the country joined together and wanted to form their own government.
On July 1, 1867, the British government (under Queen Victoria) approved a plan which allowed Canada to become an independent country with its own government. This new nation, which remained loyal to Britain, was called the Dominion of Canada. At that time, the new Dominion of Canada had only four provinces (Ontario, Quebec, Nova Scotia and New Brunswick). These days, there are 10 provinces and 3 territories.

I went to see some of the fireworks last night, but it started to rain. A lot of them have been re-scheduled for tonight, so I might go check some more of them out tonight.
I have to go to the grocery store today as well, we are pretty much out of everything we need.

My boyfriend and I hit a rough patch yesterday, not between the two of us...but between his parents and us. They are impossible. I swear that most of my stress comes from them. My boyfriend is an only child..so his parents still try to control every aspect of his life and end up interfering to the point where we get pissed off. Yesterday my boyfriend told his father not to call us anymore, he said he never wanted to talk to him again.
I feel like I am in the middle of everything. I feel like his parents hate me because he chooses me over them...and sometimes I feel like my boyfriend resents me because he doesn't have a good relationship with his parents. He tells me it's not my fault...but it still stresses me out.
I'm off to go eat breakfast and workout with the trainer..I'll post again later.

I could have killed my trainer today, I felt like I was going to die when I finished my workout with him today. I did 40 min with him today instead of 1/2 an hour. He put me through an intense fatburn workout today...working everything!
I did lower back, upper back, shoulders, chest, pecs, triceps, biceps, abs, leg press, leg curls, leg extensions, squats, inner & outer thighs with weights, calves. He didn't let me rest in between each machine either...I had to keep pumping out the sets like a madwoman. The sweat was pouring off me, even the towel I use was soaked right through. My back was dripping and the butt of my pants probably look like I pee'd myself. My heart felt like it was about to explode out of my chest.
After that, I did the stationary bike for 1/2 an hour.
I think I know why I am not losing as much weight as I'd like to. I don't think I'm burning off enough calories in a day. You are supposed to burn off more than you eat, and I don't think I am. I have no clue as to how many calories I burn while I'm doing my weights..it's probably a lot...but as far as the cardio machines go...I barely burn anything unless I do the elliptical. I only burn about 300 calories on the stationary bike when I'm on for an hour...I burn 400 something on the treadmill for an hour....the elliptical tells me at least 800-860 in a hour.
I think what I need to do is increase my cardio. I should aim to do the elliptical for at least an hour and 1/2 everyday...I'd probably be around 1200 calories or so then. With that and my 1/2 hour weight training, I'd burn a lot.
I'm hoping the rain holds off until later this evening, it looks gloomy out right now. I'd like to be able to get my walk in after supper tonight.

How in the heck are you getting those pictures to show up in your posts? Mine always come up as invalid file. I was trying to get a picture of the Elliptical I was on too. Yours is quite possibly the scariest looking thing I have ever seen. Looks like a gigantic spider. Maybe white wouldnt look so 'Halloween!'
