Why did you have to let her go all of a sudden? I am sure she will be back. Dogs always remember where they get a free meal.

You may not know it yet, but if you fed it and took care of it, then I think you've got yourself a cat!
It might be one of those who comes around to get fed, and then makes itself scarce.
You were sweet to take care of it that way.
Keep up the good work Phil
Carol
and, by the way -- I never spit on anything , kleenex, napkin, finger, to clean my kid's faces. It's totally gross, and that's what they make wet ones for!

Well the cat was hanging around last night but didn't see her this morning. We had to let her out since we only have a small transport cage and we couldn't keep her in it for too long. We have two cats of our own so couldn't bring her into the house either, and she wouldn't be house trained as such. The Vet said it would be ok to let her out too.
Carol I wasn't suggesting you'd do anything like spitting on a hankie, just your comment about old folks thinking they know best reminded me of the t-shirt I saw.
Workout wise I did a cardio morning, 20 mins bike, 4 x 25 sets of stomach crunches with legs in the air and 25 mins on the cross trainer. Burned just short of 600 calories.

Yeah Phil -- I thought that t-shirt was really funny. I don't know-- I think a bit of dried schmutz on my face would be better than my mom's dried spit!
Old folks really do think their way is the only way, and we are all soft and lazy because we don't do it that way anymore. Ever hear stories about washing diapers? Yeah, and you can't tell me if disposables or a diaper service were available to them, they wouldn't have used them?
I remember buying my first born a stroller. A couple of old biddies followed us out of the store, commenting on it, and how 'kids nowadays' think they need all that fancy stuff. It was a very 'plain jane' stroller too -- nothing fancy by any means!
Grrr-- I'm worried though. At what age to you start to act this way? I swear -- I'm going to fight it!!! I hope I live to a nice old age, and am never ever called a 'biddie'.
I've said it before, but it bears repeating -- I am so impressed by your discipline. When I was expecting, that was all I could think about. I know it's probably different for the father, but still ---it's inspiring how you keep doing what you need to do. Great job!!
Carol

Carol you arent going to turn into an "old biddie." But unfortunately we all do get older. I about cried the first time somebody referred to me as "Ma'me." I am not even married...how can I be a "ma'me?" No I cant spell it either.
I wish people would just butt out of everyone else's business. The stroller comment is ridiculous. I could understand if you were doing something wrong raising your child. Then ok; it becomes a safety issue. I wonder what those biddies think of the new Mack Daddy Strollers they have out now?? Those things are monsterous. I have to drop the lift on my bus because people cant lift them up the stairs. (Though they try and nearly dump their child in the process.)

Hey Hey kids. Its Friday Woo hoo. Did a weights workout this morning.
Didn't see the cat myself but my wife said she fed her so It seems she's hanging around.
I guess in a way we're quite lucky to be living so far away from our families so we can bring up baby in peace. Though I think one of the issues with strollers these days is they are fast becoming a fashion accessory, coming with cup and ipod holders for the parent, big chunky off road tyres and faux suede coverings in an arroy of colours to match your outfit. This is the one we've bought
It comes with a car seat too
