July Journal

Okay I tried to start this journal several times over the weekend but experienced technical difficulties. It could just be my computer. It likes to act up every now and then. Anyways, new month, new start. I weigh in tomorrow. I've lost I just don't know how much. I have met my clothing goal for the summer. That goal was to be able to be comfortable in my capri pants that I wore two summers ago. Goal met!!! On a whim I tried on a pair last night and could not believe it. So I have 4 additional capri pants to wear this summer. Sometimes I really question the losing inches thing but I guess I am more of a believer now because the weight loss has not been too dramatic lately. Something must be working. Hopefully this will stop the downward spiral I was fearing I was heading towards.

Congrats on getting into your old pants. It must feel great to be able to wear them again. I forgot about my capri pants that I had, your post reminded me that I have some. I'll have to dig them out of the closet and see if mine fit

Congrats on fitting into your old pants. That must be a great feeling. Hopefully soon it will be time to go shopping again for a new size! Sounds like Capris are in. Maybe I should get with the program....

Keep up the great work!

I am down two more pounds. Yeah! I will be in onederland before I know it. I would be losing more if I was doing more exercise but I know if I push myself too much I will burn out and be back where I started. I know I am strong but if I had to try and lose over 100 pounds a third time I would lose my mind. Doesn't matter because I will lose it this time around. In my case we will say the 2nd time is the charm vs the 3rd.

I love capri pants. They are a little more difficult for me to find because I am so short but Kohl's is the place. I get all of my petite capris from there. They work great for me in the summer time because I have all these different work shirts that I throw on with a pair of capris and I am good to go.

Thanks everyone for all of the support. I've said it a million times and I will say it a million more I don't know what I would do without this site. It is at the top of my list for coping skills which also includes spending time with my boyfriend, surfing the net, reading, talking with friends, watching movies, watching any entertainment show, hgtv, and weight loss shows, journaling, scrapbooking, and listening to music.

Scrapbooking sounds like a lot of fun. Music and movies?? Two of my favorite things to discuss! I think it is great that you have a supportive bf. Everyone should have a strong force in their lives that keeps them on track with everything they are going through. Lifestyle change is not a spectator sport. Either you are in it 100% or you find something else.

Onederland....I love it!!

Speaking of 'onederland', and movies -- anyone seen 'That Think You Do!" I think it was directed by Tom Hanks. It's pretty old -- mid to late 90's probably! Anyway, it's about a band, which started with the name 'The Oneders". Trying to be a cute play on words, like onederland. And it was cute, but no one got it. They kept all ing the band the O-need-ers ( something like that)
Yeah, this has nothing to do with anything, and it's probably too old for any of you to have seen. It's pretty good-- been a long time since I've seen it.
