Today was pretty good food-wise. I didn't get my walk in as planned, but did some strength and stretching while watching BB and my dancing show tonight. Since eating is my weakness, and my downfall, I'm pretty happy that I stayed with in my limits, and made better choices.
I ought to be able to get a good cardio workout in tomorrow. Plus the abs, and others toners. I can really feel the difference when these exercises are done consistantly. Not every day, but regularly. Muscle feels great!
I think we are going to the drive in tomorrow night. Pirates of the Caribbean II and Cars are playing. Should be fun! Best thing about the drive in-- you can bring all your own snacks, and save a bundle. You can also bring much healthier options. I know my microwave popcorn is a lot better than a bucket of the movie stuff with butter.
It's been so beautiful at night lately, it sounds like the perfect thing to do.

I wish we still had drive-ins around here. We only have the walk-in movies and they are no fun and so expensive,

We saw the first pirate movie at the drive in, and it was such fun that the kids decided that was the place they wanted to see the second one. I don't know if we'll go tonight -- I'm worried it might be packed on opening night. But we'll see.
I started watching the movie 'Big' this morning, and knew I wouldn't get out for my walk like I wanted, so I just did exercises while the movie was on. Got out my step and weights, and resistance band and mostly worked out during commercials. It's been such a long time since I'd seen that movie, I wanted to see it again. It's on all the time, but I don't know-- it just seemed like the right time to watch it. I think I did pretty good working out. Tired muscles-- out of breath-- good sweat..... I did a little bit of everything.
Eating has been pretty good so far too. And I've also been doing better with my water. I'm trying to drink at least as much water, as I do something else. At least then, if I'm drinking too much soda, I'm diluting it with water. (this is what my husbands urologist said was good to do)
Have a great weekend all,
Carol

My Wife loves Big (yes it the tom hanks one). Try sparkling water in place of soda, you can squeeze a bit of lemon or lime juice in to add a bit of flavour.

If you are sweating, out of breath and have tired muscles then you must be doing a good workout out. Well done

Well, we went to 'Pirates' at the drive in on Sat. It was ok -- it was so packed. The movie was good, but with so many people, it was kind of hard to follow it. I think I would have liked it better in the theater -- not as many distractions. We also stayed for 'Cars' which was really good, and much easier to follow at the drive in! Didn't ge home till 2:30 AM. My kids handled it, but I was having a hard time staying awake.
I have been doing so poorly with my eating, I didn't even want to post. And I'm not going into detail, but suffice it to say I had better get my head back in the game, or I'm going to be right back where I started in no time.
We've had more than a bit of emotional turmoil around here, and last night was another late late night. I'm tired, and crabby, and just want to be left alone for awhile. Tough to do with a husband and 3 kids!
But I cope, as I always do, and get through it.
I'm glad to see you guys doing so well!
Carol
ps -- yeah Big with Tom Hanks. Highly enjoyable film!

aww don't be hard on yourself. Life always throws things at you and you deal with what you are given. You make the best of things. You may have went through a rough patch where your eating wasn't the greatest, but the key is to start up again and keep going. Just don't give up on yourself. You've come too far to throw it all away.

Good luck with everything

I find when I want to be alone for a bit a walk does wonders. Like Missy said don't give up. We're with you all the way.
