Went and did an hour and 1/2 on the elliptical today. I burned a total of 1228 calories!! I'm very happy about that.
I was also talking to my trainer about how I have a hard time getting my heart rate up...I push myself like crazy and sweat buckets but barely get my heart up to 130. You know what he told me???!!! He says "You are in better shape than most of my skinner clients"....!!!!!!!!! I was floored! He told me how I am able to do more weights and do my workouts faster without being as tired as his skinner clients. He told me I might have a glandular problem or something that is causing me not to lose weight...because he says I am in great shape on the inside, just can't get the weight off, he doesn't understand it. I did have some tests done awhile ago...for my thyroid, diabetes...when I had my cortisol (stress hormone) checked...it was the only thing that came back HIGH. So I don't know. My trainer suggests maybe going to see someone about it again....
So, as you can tell, I am in good spirits today...taking kitty to the vet today to get her stitches out.

I would say that you are definitely getting stronger. The more in shape you are; the harder it is to get winded. I know the things I can do now would have killed me not too long ago. Size (weight) has nothing to do with it. It's all about muscle conditioning and endurence. Keep challenging yourself with new exercises and machines. Going backwards on the elliptical is a good one. It amazes me that I could do an hour on the elliptical no problem. Tried going backwards for 10 mins and thought I was going to die. (Hense my next challenge!)
Glad to hear your trainer is feeling better. Hope things have worked out on his end.

I will never understand the point in making an appointment with someone. Our vet appointment was scheduled for 3:45pm and we sat there and sat there....we didn't get in to see the vet until almost 5:00...GRRRRR, waiting makes me impatient, especially when you make an appointment for a reason!
We just grabbed Subway on the way home for something quick and easy. I got the turkey breast sub, it was very tasty..lol
Not too much else is on the agenda for tonight...will probably get out for our walk soon, it's beautiful out. Not too hot, not too cold...there's just a little bit of a breeze which makes it nice for walking

You go girl. Why do people always assume just because you are a little heavier than others you can not work out as well or better than skinner folks.

I'd normally wait no longer than 15 mins past the appointment time, assuming its a service i'm going to have to pay for and can get elsewhere. I've got very little patience I'm afraid.

Yes Phil-- don't put up with it. I mean, there is always the chance that a Dr. or vet has an emergency that has to be dealt with first, but I used to take my kids to a pediatrician who kept us waiting a minimum of 2 hours -- every single time. Yeah, that's great -- a whole waiting room full of sick kids! It started out ok, but then a few Dr's left, and it was consistantly a ridiculous wait.
They aren't all like that -- so if you run across one that is, don't be afraid to look elsewhere!
Missy, I bet you are in better shape than a lot of people, with the workouts you describe. You have to be!
I hope if there is something wrong , glandular or otherwise, that it's easily remedied.
Keep up the good work!

My trainer busted my butt yesterday during my session. He made me do this new ab machine with weights where you bring your legs up...I am feeling it today!!! Man does it hurt. My trainer was singing songs to me yesterday while I was working out..when I'm laughing it makes it hard for me to concentrate, lol.
We have a thing called SunFest here this weekend. I might go later on tonight to check it out. Meh, I figure it's something to do. It's outdoors...and it's pretty much like a huge flee market with tons of vendors set up and food places...they have a pavilion as well where they have different international type music (bands) playing all weekend. I went last year and had a great time..they have psychics and card readers. It's so much fun.

Thanks Helena, still trying to get it up off the ground, but I'm sure it will in time.
I'm having a pretty good weekend so far...I weighed myself yesterday and I was the lowest I have been so far in almost a year! It said 213.2!!! I was so happy. I might be able to get down close to 200 by the time I'm done with the trainer afterall.
My bf and I went to SunFest last night for a couple hours. It was fun. There was some reggae group on the stage while we were there and I thought she sounded a lot like Nelly Furtado. I'm not even sure we got to look through all the flee market tents, there were so many! They had tons of neat stuff though, I really like the carved wooden stuff they had that looks tribal-ish. I really want to get myself some of those wooden wind chimes too, I think they sound so awesome. Maybe I'll use that as a reward for one of my weight loss goals. We walked for a good 2 hours or so...there's my workout! We did stop by one of the booths to get some ice cream though, it's our cheat weekend though anyways..so it won't screw up our diets too much because we have extra calories to play with anyways.
Hope you all are having a great weekend
