Hate hot weather

Well let me tell you this the last couple of weeks it has been too hot for me. I can't stand when the temperature rise above 75 degrees. But it has been well in the 80's. This weekend I have to work and it suppose to be in the 90's here. That will not make me happy due to working this weekend and have to monitor the pool during working hours. We have people that will try to sneak into the pool area that isn't residents and young children as well. I get very cranky in the heat. I am glad that I don't eat when I get upset. But I do know that my down fall will be soda (sprite). I know that I can't drink anything with caffeine. I get very moody and I can't control my anger. So I have been caffeine free for 6yrs now.

Today I had a nice breakfast: yogurt and a half of bagel with lite cream cheese. For my snack it was carrots and six almonds. I did walk around the office building for 15 minutes.
Lunch time wasn't so bad I had 2 slices of pizza from papa john.(cheese) and 2 glasses of water. I know that wasn't a good choice for I did not want to have it for dinner.
Dinner: I had a grilled turkey patty with grilled veggies(corn, green, red and yellow peppers, and carrots.) I did have a lemonade.
I wasn't going out this evening, but I decided to take a stroll with my daughter. My daughter did say to me that she was very proud that I was keeping up with my weight loss goal.

The way that she measures me weekly would be hugging me around my waist and seeing if she can touch her fingers together. But today she was happy because she can put her hands together. I even had on a pair of low rise jeans. How do women wear these pants I had to go out and purchase a belt? I felt so selfconscious in them. But my girls did say that they were a bit to big for me that I should have brought a smaller size.( I am wearing a size 16 in jeans) I still have a big rear .
Well tomorrow is a better day.

Oh before I forget WELCOME ABOARD MATT !!!!

I'm with you Francine. The weather here has been beautiful lately. Highs in the mid to upper 70's, and nice and cool at night. It's been wonderful to let the AC have a break, and to be able to go outside at any time of day and be comfortable.
What a great way to get measured!
It sounds like you're doing fine with your eating choices. I think that we all decide how we're going fight this battle. Some people go all out and are very disciplined with what they eat and how hard they work out. Others ( like me) are content to make smaller changes in my lifestyle, and still see results, although much more slowly. Any way you decide to do it is fine, as long as you stick with it. I try not to worry too much about the numbers on the scale ( TRY!!-- but I do weigh in regularly!) and know that no matter what those numbers say, I'm doing something good for myself. I feel better, and I think I look better too.
Good luck Francine. Hope to hear from you soon!
Carol

Hi Francine!

Well it is nice to put another name with an actual face! I am with you on the heat. I'd rather workout in the colder temps versus the humidity. That just makes me feel lazy, dehydrated, and like doing nothing at all. Good choice to get the pizza out of the way early. Starches are more easily burned off if eaten earlier in the day. Guess that means it is ok to have pizza for breakfast!! I think that is so sweet that your daughter morphs into a live measuring tape. Whatever keeps you motivated; go with it. She sounds like a great cheerleader for you. What kind of turkey patty did you have? I know many people like the Jennie-O. I like them too. Keep up the great work and soon you will be in a HOT pair of low rise jeans! Pants falling down is not a bad thing! It lets you know that you are downsizing!

Keep up the great work!

Way to go with your food choices and weight loss. I agree with you how do people wear some of the clothes they make these days.

I like your new user pic as well. Very cool to put the face with the name. I find the weather annoying, because one minute it's cold, crappy and rainy...the next it's hot and humid. I wish it would stay steady for awhile.

I also have to watch my caffeine intake because I have anxiety. It makes the panic feeling 10 times worse. I have to limit caffeine and things high in sugar which is good for my weight loss in the long run anyways.

Good luck!
