My day

I was up around 6:30 this morning to get my 11yr old daughter ready to visit with her dad for Father's Day weekend. Well I had to calm her down. She doesn't like to visit her dad, since he rarely see her. He is to get her Every other week, but that never happens. But I do tell her that it's not her fault. It's just that he doesn't know how to be a dad. My daughter is still upset that her dad did not come to her 5th grade graduation after he told her he would. (remind him several times even the day before.) What did he do called and left her a message that he was at the doctor's office and since her graduation was at 10:30am and he was still at the doctor's office at 10:20 he will not be able to make it.(cop out). I told her to keep giving him cards and sending him her grades. Maybe one day he will wake up. He told her that it's my fault that we aren't together since I did not want to marry him. But I did call him and mention to him that he should never tell her that. ( he had been married 3 times before I met him and he now has been married 5 times) Why would i want that headache. I have enough with my weight.
In the afternoon I had lunch with my oldest at Pizza Hut. I did have 3 tablespoons of cottage cheese and 5 peaches. A glass of ice cold water and I had the lowfat pizza with chicken and green peppers and mushrooms. My daughter "where is the cheese?" I pointed it out to her, what's the point.(my daughter). It wasn't bad at all. I had 2 slices and brought the rest home for dinner. I felt good not overstuff and I just love thin crust pizza either way. I went to office depot and brought my baby a computer desk for her room. I know that will make her happy. My sister is buying her a computer for her birthday and Christmas present all in one. So she will have a computer in September. I know that I will have to keep on top of the computer technology. Kids are learning new things all the time. Lucky she has a young mom 45yrs. . But I have a sister that is a computer programmer and I am always at the book store buying books.
I'm down 195lbs and I'm glad about that as well. So all in all my day is great.
Tonite bootcamp workout!!!

Hi Francine and welcome to journaling. I hope you get as much out of it as we regulars all do. It is nice to see that we all have something in common; though our points of origin are all different.
Your ex sounds like a piece of work. Be glad you didnt marry him. 5 times married? Sounds like a committment-phobe, or his spouses wised up some.
Did I read that right...you are down 195 pounds!? Or did you mean that you are down TO 195 pounds? Either way, any loss is a great accomplishment and I hope you continue with your lifestyle change.
The pizza you had; was it the "Lite and Fit Pizza?" I have heard really good things about it. I know it is on my current plan as well. But pizza is my ultimate Achille's Heel and I cant be trusted around it. When I would go and visit "my guy" he would sometimes order pizza and he is a huge fan of their thin crust pizza. I thought it would be terrible since I was rasied on normal greasy crust. (Real healthy eh?) It was awesome! Dont even miss the regular deep dish stuff I used to get. Goes to show that there is a healthy(er) version of almost anything you love out there. Just watch the calories, carbs, sugar, sodium, fat and trans fats. Diet doesnt have to mean "rabbit food." Mmmmmm cottage cheese. Love the real stuff, but the Lite isnt bad either.
What kind of computer? I dont know where I would be without mine. I hope your daughter gets a kick out of her dual present. Yes technology is definitely on the move. I am excited to see what they come up with next; but scared at the same time. I am sure it wont come cheap!!
Have a great weekend!

~Carrie
