Okay...I think that I can talk about how my weekend went - if I can remember what I did. lol Saturday: Dan & I worked at my mom's house - started renovating her dining room and hallway. Sunday: Royal's Game - we had a blast...it was me, Dan, Sam, and two of her friends. I got another nice tan going on. I didn't workout either of these days - nope, I walked yesterday when I got home. I did a pretty decent job eating at the game...I had a polish sausage, very little nacho & cheese, flavor ice popsicle, and lots of water.

Today: I haven't done much today - although I have had a good day in exercising. I walked for 45 minutes this morning - it was beautiful weather...when I got home I worked out for 30 minutes to Biggest Loser's Sculpt & Tone....took my shower and met with Grant's therapist. After she left the kids and I went outside to play - we played for 1.5 hours (softball). I came in and cooked dinner (early dinner due to having a softball game tonight)...we had lasagna (ground turkey) and mixed vegetables. I also had some green beans with dinner, glass of sweet tea. We went to Sam's softball game - they lost but the girls they played were two times our girl's sizes and they could play. When we got home I went for an hour walk and then played ball with the kids and Dan. It is now 9:55pm and ready for bed. I have to go grocery shopping in the morning - finally! I can't wait to get healthy snacks back in this house.

Well, I'm out of here. LATE!

Okay...so I finally was able to go grocery shopping. Today I picked up frozen broccoli - it was the first time I boiled them and ate them...the other day was the first time to eat steamed broccoli and I liked them. The ones I ate tonight were so delicious that I am going to pick up a lot more and I will be making them as a snack through my days. Today I have eaten too much and I am feeling it... . I even snacked on candy - Reeces Pieces. I only walked one hour (outdoors) this morning - I did a minute sprint every 5 minutes towards the end of my workout. I was surprised with myself that I was able to run...it felt great. I will be walking again in the morning after I drop the kids off to school.

Not much more to say...I'm tired and have a terrible headache. I'll talk with ya all later. Late!

That's awesome that you started running. I have been trying on the treadmill for the last week or so...I can only do about 5 min total running in 1/2 an hour..but it's a start! I'm sure I can build up more as my body gets used to it.

Congratulations Patty Ann on the running. Doesnt it make you feel really good afterwards? You would be surprised what you can do if you arent afraid to try. Before long you will have built up endurance and will be able to run for longer periods of time. Keep up the great work!

Frozen broccoli is really good. I use Bird's Eye brand. It is so good I dont even need to add anything to it unless I want some extra spices.

Hi Patty Ann,

What type of music are those lyrics from because they arent ringing a bell. I do have a suggestion though. Is this song played on any radio station that your hubby listens to now? If so, he can always call them or email them. I wish I could help. If you could give me a title I could check the ITunes database.

Good luck! I hate when that happens. It drives me insane trying to figure out who sings it.

Running -- yeah.. it's definitely something to gradually build. I used to jog in my younger single days, and it did wonders for the metabolism. It was a fast, cheap, and I thought fun way to stay in shape.
Now, I have to make sure I have 2 sports bras on, or the girls start doing a little too much of their own thing -- know what I mean? And I can only go a little way, then I go back to walking. I did this a little, before I hurt my leg, and I could really feel a difference in my muscles. I love walking, and it's probably the best exercise for me, but there's no way you can get in as good of shape doing that instead of running. Some say you can, but I've been a walker for years, and while I can see the physical benefits, it's not the same as running.
Take care Patty. Enjoy the summer with your kids!

Patty Ann sounds like you are doing quite well with the running / walking thing. I guess I'm lucky, we don't have reeces peices here in Malta. I loved em when I tried them.

Carrie...he says that it is from the late 80s - the music stations do not play it. It is something he has been singing and it is driving him and ME crazy...lol. He says that is is like Pop/R&B...I think it is from the group that Bobby Brown was with when they were little....I can't think of their name. Thanks!
