Hey Phil,
Sounds like you are working hard. Keep it up. Don't worry that the results might not show yet. As you said, you can feel that you're getting fitter. I always feel like, the slower the results, the more likely they are to last. You're doing everything right, so you, and others , will be noticing before you know it.
It's a good idea to keep your name ideas to yourself, untill you've actually named the baby. Otherwise, if you tell people what you're thinking about before hand, they aren't shy about giving their opinion. And it should be up to you, and your wife. No one else's opinion really matters.
You're doing great Phil. Way to go!
Carol

You're doing amazing Phil. It just seems to have its own scheule for coming off though. The more muscle you build, the higher your mtabolism, and the more calories you'll be burning each day. I'm confident at your level of exercise that that is happening already.
It's important to lose weight for yourself, but it is great motivation to have other causes to lose it for too (your baby). Keep up the good work and stay away from cameras for a while. It'll happen, just don't let it get you down when you're working so hard.

Hi again all.
Day 3 weights workout today and it was great. The only one I have a problem with is squats which I can't really do because my balance is a bit poor. I use a stability ball up against a wall to help.
Baby name wise we are not going down the celebrity nonsense names route but we have some very strong sounding names for either a boy or a girl. One name we did think of for a girl was Adira (the name of a local beach) but translated from Maltese to English it means "little pond" so we thought better of it. I've heard of a few kids named "Valetta" which is this countries capital city but thats not for us either.
Jules and Carol thanks ever so much (again) for your kind words of encouragement.

Also, when considering baby names, don't forget to think about their initials. Although, with you last name being Jackson, I can't think of any bad, or silly words that would end in a J. My last name starts with an S. So, Austin Scott Smith was definitely out! Lol.
You are so dedicated and disciplined. Keep us posted, because you're such a good example!
Have a great day,
Carol

awww, everyday I hear you post about your baby experience makes me want one! My boyfriend and I are not financially ready for a child yet though. I would also like to get down to my goal weight before gaining baby weight.
My boyfriend wants to go back to school to become a physics teacher, so we probably won't be having kids until then!

Hi All
Well I've lost the kilo I put on last week. Hopefully it will stay off next week. Today was my final cardio day for the week, 10 mins rowing, 25 mins treadmill and 25mins bike.
This morning we went to the parent craft classes, 9am Saturday is not my favorite time but we learnt a great deal so it was well worth it. Missy you are right about waiting until the time feels right. Only since the end of last year did we feel in a comfortably financial position to think about bringing baby into the world.
Carol, to be perfectly honest with you I'm amazed at myself for showing the discipline I have. I think its safe to say that watching BL series 2 was a kick in the backside I needed. I was never in the same situation as the guys on there but I knew I would be if I didn't do something about it soon. Also as I've mentioned before I don't want to be a fat Dad and set a good example to my child.
Finally Helena welcome back I've missed you. I'll send you all the positive energy you need. I'd like to see you update your journal with "what did you do today to make you feel proud" each day, in fact download the track by Heather Small (legally) and play it to yourself.

I think we need another BL season to start soon! It is really motivating. I wish it was on this summer!!!
'Proud was one of the first songs I downloaded to my ipod. I try to be able to have an answer for that question everyday.
Have a great day Phil.

I know UK LivingTV were advertising for contestants for a new series over there and in the USA season 3 is on the way. We have the specials on at the moment with the Military wives showing this week. You all probably know Dr Jeff if my biggest inspiration.

Looks like you are doing a knock out job at the gym. How much longer until the contest is over? Contest or no; you are doing this for you and the chance to win is just an added bonus.
Keep us posted with baby news!
