Oh, you need them altered because they might be too big? Woohoo!
You mentioned the dentist numbing your mouth. That made me think of the few people I've known who have broken their jaw. My brother, and a cousin -- both super skinny guys, who had an accident at work, and ended up with a broken jaw. Why is it that always seems to happen to skinny people? I wouldn't want to break my jaw, but if I had to break something, that would be my preference. Woudn't hurt me to have my jaw wired shut for awhile!
But seriously-- I know that's silly . Because even though I'm sure I'd lose weight, I'd gain it right back. Not good for your body, no matter how you look at it. It's like those people on 'survivor' who lose a lot of weigh -- I don't think any of them keep it off for very long. Still more proof that starving yourself doesn't work - not in the long run!
Wow -- that was pretty random. I do tend to go off on a tangent at times!

Well it was a good weekend. The dinner Friday night was boring but ok food. We had chicken and stir-fry vegs. I did cheat and spilt a small piece of strawberry cheese cake with my hubby. I was able to find one dress that could be altered some, but I will not be able to wear it any longer. I went to my best friends , who had wls, and got some of her old cloths. Got a new bathing suit for summer due to my being to big and having problems with it in the water. I was truely amazed at the the size. Worked around the house with hubby on some projects and enjoyed the pool with our daughter. We gave him his father's day gift a little early today and then we spent the rest of the day putting it together. We purchased a tool chest and boy I don't know who wrote the instructions but they need to redo them. Being in the pool has been so much easier this summer, breathing and swimming are so much simpler now. So over all for the weekend did good with food intake, fair on water intake and good on exercise. I have got to do something to ensure that I get my water in on the weekends. During the week I keep a 74 oz jug on my desk and take it with me everywhere I go. When I am out and about I forget to take water with me.

Sounds like you got that pool opened up. I am still so jealous of you. I do swim at the gym, but how luxurious it would be to have a pool right in my backyard! Sounds like you are doing great with your food!

Well today went well. Good food intake, walked for 30 minutes at lunch. Did not get to the gym but did yard work(weed eating) for about an hour. After shower it was time for Everwood and tonight was the last episode. Why is it all the good clean family shows get cancelled. Well tommorrow we are taking our daughter to the Grand Ole Orpy in Nashville to see Carrie Underwood perform. She is such a fan and is so excited about going to see her.

Do you remember when they used to try and keep 'family programming' on before like, 8 pm? What ever happened to that? I'm continually shocked by what they get away with. Sit coms are espcecially bad. It seems like as long as it's 'innuendo' they can say whatever they want. Most of it is really unnecessary. It would be nice to be able to sit down and watch a show with your kids, and not have it riddled with sex jokes, and off-color humor. Don't get me wrong -- I like some trashy shows, but I don't watch them with my kids. There really isn't much to pick from. It's either cartoons, or what I call adult comedies.
I think yard work is one of the best workout's there is. It may seem like the weed-eater is doing all the work, but you got a good workout too!
Hope you enjoyed Carrie's show!
Carol

Well, this has been a very busy week and I have not been to the gym any this week. Monday we worked in the yard all evening, Tuesday went to a concert and last night I helped a friend move. I am really hoping to get to the gym this afternoon, I really miss it. My food intake has been really good as well as my water intake. I have a social work student working with me this summer so I have a little more stress on trying to make sure she is learning as well as me getting my job duties completed. I really am enjoying having her though.

Hello!

I bet Carrie Underwood puts on a great show. Dont worry about not getting to the gym. Everyone has their busy times. Just make sure you get credit for the activity you do engage in. Carrying in groceries, scrubbing the floor, washing the car. All burn calories and fat.

Keep up the good work with the food choices and h20. All those changes will slowly but surely begin to add up.

~Carrie
