Well yesterday was a good day. Did well with my eating and kept in under target of calories for the day, got all of my water in and went to the gym. My husband's knee is really hurting him and he was not able to go to the gym with me last night my daughter went and swam. My husband is going to the ortho. doctor tommorrow so hopely they will find out what is going on with his knee. Well I have a meeting all afternoon and they are feeding us, hope we have good healthy food.

Well the meeting I attended yesterday was great, it was on Alzheimer's(I love learning new things about this) working with the elderly is my passion. Lunch was good, I had a salad with a little chicken. I did splurge and split a small piece of chocolate cake with one of my co-workers. Did not get to the gym because we decided to open the pool and I spent several hours vacuuming a cleaning the pool. We had a warm spell in earlier April and then it got cold again so we did not open the pool and we actually had a little algae growing on the bottom that I had to take care of. Husband goes to the doctor this morning about his knee.

Well yesterday was an ok day. Worked on the pool again last night trying to get it ready for this weekend. By the time I finished the pool it was time for American Idol so I did not go to the gym, my bad. I will work harder today. The doctor is going to do a MRI on my husband's knee next Wednesday. Hope that it is nothing. It is really strange, his knee hurts more when he is resting than when he is walking on it. Hope you all have a great day.

Well yesterday was a good day, food intake was good , got all of my water in and went to the gym. Today has been a bad luck day. Had a bad storm last night and got up and a/c unit not cooling, repairman out and told us that lighten hit unit need new one. Will replace this afternoon. Daughter went to work with me this morning and she wanted to stop by doughnut shop and tell her best friend good bye for summer, so we had doughnuts for breakfast and then had Burger King for lunch. Boy I really have to workout hard tonight.

Ouch, donuts are a big temptation for me too. Good luck with your exercising tonight, don't let yourself out of it. I hope your husband's medical problems get resolved smoothly and quickly.

Well, I have been away for a few days, things were really jam packed this weekend. I did really good with my intake and did get to the gym some but not everyday. Painted my outside building, helped a friend assemble some bedroom furniture, swam in the pool, so I did get some exercise in. Weighed today and I am down 3 more pounds. I would really love to be down to 250 by Labor Day, maybe if I continue at the rate I am going I can reach that goal. Have no did measurements in a while, will try to do those today. I got my issue of All You in the mail today and it had some inspiring stories on people who have lost weight. I really enjoy this mag and Looking Good Now, both always have inspiring weight lose stories. My friend who had WLS in March is doing well, she has lost a total of 75 lbs. You know I have got to stop measuring my weight lose with hers, I often get depressed when I think about her passing me by and I have been at it for several months later. I have to remember I can still eat almost anything as long as I retain self control and do not over do it. She made the right decision for her and I am making the right decision for me. I just wish I could get her to start exercising, at this point it seems that she is just satisfied with losing without the exercise and we all know in the long run you have to tone you body or you will be all sag. Well enough about that. Hope everyone had a reat Memorial Day. see ya later.

I'm not familiar with the magazines you mentioned. They sound great. I do love magazines, and I find it so funny on most women's magazines, they have a weight loss feature, right next to the most decadent chocolate brownie recipe ever!
I'm not criticizing. These aren't weight loss magazines, and they want to have something for everyone. But they don't make it easy on some of us!!!
You are right about your friend. But as you said, she has to do what's best for her, at this point. I hope she adds exercise at some point.
We all have to remember, it isn't a race. I think everyone is a little different at what works best for them. The key is to find what works for you -- find what you can stick with for life, and then you'll be successful. Great work Amanda.

Well today was a good day. Had protein bar for breakfast, no lunch because I had filling put in a tooth and mouth was still numb at lunchtime. Went for a 30 minute walk instead. For dinner I had 2 chicken fingers, green beans and scalloped potatoes. Oh I did have 2 small chocolate chip cookies that my daughter baked for us today. Went to the gym and got a great workout in. Maybe I could get the dentist to numb my mouth everyday and I could really shed some pounds. I have a dinner for work tomorrow night I sure hope they have things I can eat. It is a formal dinner and I really don't know if any of my dressy outfits will fit anymore. I guess I will be trying those on here in a little while and if not getting my mom to alternate them for me tomorrow. I really do not want to purchase a new outfit for this.
