Elizabeth's Journal

Yesterday was a pretty good day for the most part.
Woke up at 8am, drank some coffee, ate weight control oatmeal and read a book.

At 12pm I went and did 40 min. circuit training at the gym and 20 minutes at home on the treadmill.

2:30 late lunch of iceburg lettuce, tomatoes, hardboiled egg white and 1 tbsp. of 2% cheese with 1 tsp. vinegarette. (I am going to switch to spinach because the iceburg does not have any nutritional value).

4pm Took my son to go hit golf balls at the range.

7pm Went grocery shopping and bought good stuff except I let my son talk me into gettting him a half dozen Krispy Kremes with chocolate.

8pm Dinner-Stuffed Salmon with 1 1/2 cup steamed broccoli and peppers.

I drank all of my water today!

10 pm My son was eating a Krispy Kreme, I asked for a small pinch and then asked him to keep them very far away from me-(we will not be having anymore Krispy Kremes in this house-lol!)

Went to bed very late because I was online.

Sounds like you had a great day. Even though you had a pinch of the crispy cream you didn't eat even a half of one. And the rest of your day was awesome! Way to go.

Thanks girls! I keep a spiral journal each day, but I love keeping it online too. I found that it helps reinforce the good and bad things I did during the day when I type it again online.

I like that we are going to keep these journals so that we can be honest with ourselves and support each other through the good and the bad moments.

Susie, I hope your daughter has a happy birthday!

You did good

Hi! I think that you did a good job telling your son to keep those far away from you. I wouldn't have been able to eat only one bite - if I had a bite then I would have had more.

I have been keeping a journal in a Microsoft Works Program - I have seen how different it is to type then write. I type as fast as I think - I write too slow...lol.

Elizabeth's Jounal Sunday 2-5

Woke up at 8/Breakfast 2 Scrambled egg whites with salsa and 1 tsp. cheese
Didn't even realize that it was Superbowl Sunday-lol! Spent so much time online that I didn't turn the TV on until the game was ending. That was good because I didn't need to sit in front of the game, I would have wanted snacks.

Skipped lunch
3:30- I went to the gym and did the circuit for 40 minutes and came home and did the treadmill for 20 minutes.

Dinner 8pm Fish Packets
1 Tilapia Filet with steamed veggies and 3/4 Cup Brown Rice

Drank all of my water!

Elizabeth's Journal 2-6

Monday woke up at 5:30 am. Very tired because I didn't go to bed until late last night.

Drank 2 cups of coffee before leaving for school.
Breakfast-Weight Control Oatmeal 8am.

Lunch-3/4 Cup fat free cottage cheese with 1 diced tomato

Dinner at 6:30 pm (yea-earlier!) Shrimp and steamed veggies over 3/4 Cup of brown rice

Workout- 8pm (feeling very lethargic after eating dinner and sitting down too long after work) Walked for 15 minutes with my students at recess. Treadmill 45 minutes.

9pm-feeling very hungry but do not want to eat this close to bedtime.
Drank all of my water.
10:30 Bed

Elizabeth, congrats on your great day! It's good to have a good day under your belt - makes the days ahead much easier. At least I know it does for me. Sometimes when I have a bad day it seems like i have 3 or 4 in a row - I can hope for the same with good days! Good luck to you on your journey

yes it is nice when you have more than 1 good day! I have had my moments though, like last night not wanting to workout because I ate dinner first. I am glad I battled through it, but I am still trying to find a solution to dinner time and workout time vs. the time I get home from work.

Way to go Elizabeth! Did you find that skipping lunch gave you a hunger feeling through the evening? Did you snack on anything through the day? I would have been starving - well, maybe not if I was drinking all my water.
