L_B journal
Hello
I am going to post my starting weight, a goal weight and a Ulltimate Weight loss goal.
Current Weight 254
Goal Weight under 200 by December
Ulltimate Goal 145
I did manage to get some exercise in this morning I walked 1.5 miles around the neighborhood
I got all of my daily water in take
I noticed that the more water I drink the less cravings I have.
I will post my weight loss on Thursdays as that is the day of the week I started.
I know it didn't take me long to put the weight on, but it will be a long journey in gettng it off.
Thanks again everyone.
God Bless you
L_B

Hi!
Wow 1.5 miles! When I first started, I could barely walk 20 yards without breathing heavy. And you are getting your water in. I struggle with that too. Sounds like you are off to a great start. Just hang in there and it will come off. I agree with what you said; it takes no time at all to put the weight on, and what seems forever to take it off. Keep us posted!

Water is a great way to make yourself feel full without resorting to food. Good luck with your weight loss journey. We'll be here to make sure you get there!

Day Five
thank you all for the encouragement, I had a so so weekend. As far as the walking goes I use to walk every break with a friend of mine at work it wound up to be about 2 miles per day, but that was two years ago, I was surprised that I could still walk that far. I was sore the next day though.
I love to walk but I don't want to do that every day for exercise, I want to do walking every other day. Any tips on a good exercise dvd?
Today I feel real bloated, and exhausted, (pms) ugh we shouldn't have to go through this. Makes it hard to find the ambition to go do something.
I had a bake potato for lunch with table spoon of sour cream
table spoon of real butter
eggdrop soup 1 cup
2 crab rangoons
I haven't had my daily water yet as I left it in the car and my husband who is at work and I don't drink tap water.
Hopefully I will feel better tomorrow.
I will report back later if I can to post my supper.
Thanks everyone.

I set my goal for under 200 by december as I have a hard time loosing weight and I don't want to feel defeated if I set a goal and not make it. This way if I get to under 200by december, I will feel like I accomplished something.
I use to go to weight watchers and they start out with 10 percent of your starting weight, so really that is my goal for now. I don't want to feel overwhelmed thinking about 145 goal,

Welcome L_B! I'm so glad you joined us here!!
I understand where you're coming from on the PMS, I'm right there with you this week.
If you don't like walking, there are some really great workout DVD's. I've been doing The Biggest Loser workout DVD for about 6 weeks now I think. I really like it and it seems to be doing the job. Alot of people on this board use it and also use the Leslie Samsome walking workouts. I think it would be different using one of those then walking outside or even on a treadmill. I don't personally have one of those DVD's but I'm sure somebody on here would be more then willing to give you their opinions.
Hang in there & good luck. We're here for you!!!!

Hi LB, nice to see you on the boards! Sorry I've been away from the forums moving houses. Welcome and all the best. You have set some very reasonable goals -not to say it's not going to be hard but you can achieve them! I use the Biggest Loser DVD -and I love it. It is pretty intense, 4 options for workouts each ~20 minutes. I love the DVD, but Bob works you. If you do get this, don't be discouraged if you can't keep up at first, he provides alternatives to most exercises that are easier until you can do the full workout. I like it a lot. I also have "Blast away the pounds" called and indoor walking video -but really it's an aerobics video. I reviewed it in my journal only a week or so ago. I didn't like it as much, but it is a lot gentler paced.
I hope you find one you like that you can alternate with walking. Cheers and congrats on the great start!

Day six
I do feel better today not as sluggish, I did a work out on my trampoline as the day went on, I was doing a light jog while watching Oprah, I liked the topic she had on, it was on heart disease. My moms side of the family all had heart attacks before they were forty.
Todays menu
peanut butter and jelly on toast for Breakfast 2 slices
12 oz if milk
skipped Lunch
went to my sons ball game
took my daughter and sons girlfriend to Chinese
Had
1\2 cup fried rice
1 crab rangoon
probably 1\2 cup of Happy family.
drank only 26 oz of water
Had a twix candy bar for a snack.
Sometimes you just have to have the chocolate.
Thanks all for the encouragement it means a lot.
God Bless

You definitely have to allow yourself some chocolate sometimes, makes it easier to stick to when you have your little treats!! All in moderation is fine
Its great to read your progress in your journal - have a great week and take care
