They just put up a tetherball at one of the parks near us, I never realized how fun tetherball could be. Unfortunately though, I got hit pretty hard in the face a couple times. I kind of wish I had kids so I would have a really good excuse to go to the park and play more often.

Great job Patty Ann, I have three children, mostly all grown up now,20,18,15 and I cherish the time we spent together and at times wish I spent more time with them. This will be a time that your children will remember always and you spending time with your brother is great. Another memory to add.
I agree with you about the games, there are other constructive things they can do. Besides the games don't let one use their own imagination.
keep up the good job.

You know I have never realized how busy of a person I am until I write it all down. I guess it is because I have been doing this for 10+ years and it just seems normal. I actually feel that I don't do enough through a day...lol. Kinda strange, huh? You all have to remember that you are probably just as busy as I am - most of you probably go to work daily...just think about what you do in a day - I'm sure you are as busy as I am and just not realizing it. I am really hoping to have lost weight this week - Jules...you are right - how can I not lose anything when I am so busy + working out each day.

Talking Wednesday; April 5th

Today has been a decent day...beautiful weather!

*Woke up @ 6:30am
*Ate breakfat @ 7am (half an orange)...I wasn't hungry at all.
*Sat at the computer for quite some time - checked emails, organized for Ken Rhea's birthday party, played on myspace.com & fixed my page.
*Ate snack @ 10am (cereal bar)
*Ate lunch @ 12pm (turkey sandwich, cheese, miracle whip on wheat bread & cheddar cheese rice cake snacks)
*Layed Kenna down for her nap @ 1pm
*Worked out @ 1:20pm (BL-Sculpt & Tone & 3 miles w/Leslie)
*Cleaned house after working out (kitchen, master bedroom, and living room)...urgh the clutterness on the desk was driving me crazy. I had been working on laundry all day - my daughter's hamper was full and she asked this morning "Mom...can you do my laundry today." I told her that I didn't realize that it was full - and that I would have it done.
*Kids got home from school - I went outside with my girls @ 3:45pm...played in the sand, played at the park, walked the dog - got back home @ 5pm
*Started cooking dinner (Beef Stroganoff...I used turkey burger instead of beef, brown rice, mashed potatoes)
*Ate dinner @ 5:45pm
*Checking messages...figuring bills
*Cleaned up mess from dinner and checking in here for new messages.
*Hubby will be getting home in 15 minutes so I wanted to get this done before he gets here...I am hoping that he will want to sit outside with me since it is so nice. I know he is going to be tired when he gets here...his dinner is waiting for him...and then after his shower we can just chill out together.
*Plan on watching American Idol to see who gets booted tonight & will be watching Law & Order (a friend's hubby is going to be in it - how exciting).

Well, I am going to go for now....hope you are all doing well. Tomorrow is weigh in and measurement day for me - let's hope for the best. I'll let ya all know how it goes.

KEEP ON KEEPING ON! LATE!

Mmmm, I love beef stroganoff. Sounds like you had another productive day. I know you said earlier you don't feel you do enough in a day -but I think that's not looking at what you're doing but what remains to be done. You do a lot, but you have a family, which is busy generating one mess while you're cleaning the last one. It's a constantly changing situation with more things to add to the list every day, but you really do get quite a good deal done each day.

Glad the weather was so nice. Also, I just wanted to say it's really sweet of you to get off the computer when your hubby comes home. I get grumpy with my guy spending too much time on the computer, but really I know I'm just grumpy because I want his attention and I'm sure it's the same with your hubby. Hope you enjoyed Idol and got to see your friend's hubby on Law and order. Good luck on your weight-in tomorrow. Cheers!

Thanks for the acknowledgement of what us stay at home moms do each and every day. I have realized that our home is a happy home when all of us are happy and the first step in that is to think of others in the house...like my hubby. I didn't enjoy Idol b/c I like Mandisa so well - but her performance wasn't very good for the past 2 weeks. I just wish they would boot Kelly already...they even throw out punch lines to make her look dumb...that is sad. I did get to see my friend's hubby on Law & Order - I was shocked to know he had a speaking part...lol. It's way cool.

My weigh in was GREAT...lost 2 lbs. Goal was to lose 3lbs but 2 is fine by me.

Talking Yesterday - April 6th

I didn't have a chance to come in and do my journal - I remembered once I got into bed, which was too late to get up and do...it was like 10:15pm. I wasn't about to get up to get on the computer.

I don't remember everything that happened yesterday but I do know that I participated in my 21 day challenge - the girls & I went to the park and played for an hour (tetherball for 30 minutes and swinging for 30 minutes)...I had lots of fun with Sam yesterday.

I do remember that I went to weigh in yesterday - as I was heading to Excelsior to the doctor's office Ken threw up all over herself and her carseat. I was too close to my sister's house to turn all the way around to go back home so I went to her house...took her carseat apart and washed it along with her clothes. I had to pull over on the side of the road and take her clothes off and put on clean clothes...I wrapped her in a towel so the straps wouldn't get her icky from the vomit...urgh! It was awful - but she felt better after that. She now has diarrhea...I can't believe she has the flu again...I'm still shocked the others didn't get what she had last week - nope, it is back with her. Poor Baby! So...as the stuff was being washed my sister watched her so I could go weigh in...LOST 2 LBS! Woohoo! I was so happy...I was wanting to lose 3 lbs but 2 is fine by me! After that I went back to my sister's house and we just visited for a few hours. When the stuff was done being washed I took my sister to the store and to Sonic again. Yep..I ate a Bacon Cheeseburger again - it was a very hard decision on what to get to eat. I gave in to the temptation and ate it...and I really didn't feel all that bad about it...if I wouldn't have given in then I would have come home and eaten everything in my cabinets. lol

When I got home @ 3pm I received a message from Grant's school AGAIN...he got into trouble earlier this week and again yesterday. So...when he got home we had a LONG & TEARFUL talk...I broke down while I talked with him. I explained to him that what he has been doing has been hurting me b/c I have done EVERYTHING in my power & EVERYTHING I know to do in order to make things better but nothing was working. I told him that I do NOT like having him in therapy 4 times a week - I told him that I do not like it when I talk with him and not know when he is telling the truth. Before I was finished talking my 10 year old daughter came up to me & held me b/c she knew I was hurting. My son then started to hug me and tell me that he was going to change and that he was sorry. It is so severe that I have talked with his therapist and doctor about what I am going to do with him - I am going to set up an appointment to take him to our local police department so they can talk with him about lying and stealing. He has never stolen anything from a store (only home) but he has to know that what his father and I say is true - it is going to get worse if he doesn't get better right now. I want the best for my children and it is heartbreaking when we do all we can do and it doesn't seem to open their minds. It is even more heartbreaking knowing that he is ONLY 8 years old but yet is having such a difficult time in his life. After I was finished talking with him I was so upset that I didn't want to do anything but crawl into bed and cry....I did not do this. I decided that I would workout and burn off some of my anger and frustration....I got through my workout and felt much better afterwards. That is when I went to play with the girls outdoors - after my workout.

I came in to start dinner @ 6pm - we had Chicken Enchiladas, Brown Rice, and Sweet Peas. It was YUMMY! Hubby really like the new chicken enchiladas... We ate dinner @ 7pm - when hubby got home from work. The timing was perfect and dinner was hot for all of us! That doesn't happen all the time. I didn't eat any snacks b/c it was too late and I had already gone over my calories for the day...I think working out and playing so hard at the park burned most of those off.

We were going to watch Yours, Mine, and Ours but hubby needed to go to Wal-Mart. We went to Wal-Mart and got a few things - hubby did something that made me feel GOOD inside. He stopped in @ the jewelry department and picked out HIS wedding band. See the thing with the wedding band is this...he hasn't worn a wedding band most of our marriage - first it was b/c he was allergic to the ring...then he just didn't want to wear one b/c we always had problems...then in 2000 he blew his hand up with a homemade cannon - he had to have his ring cut off at that time. He hasn't worn one since.....we have become much closer and he has become a much BETTER hubby. With him picking out a band on his own made me feel good b/c he is ACTUALLY wanting to wear it without me saying a thing. I asked him to put it in layaway b/c we didn't have the money to buy it...so he did. He wanted to buy it last night. He has really TOUCHED my heart and I feel more loved now than what I have ever felt. We had to run through rain last night to get to the car and then once we got home we had to run through it again up 3 flights of stairs...urgh! It was funny though b/c I had just bought 2 umbrellas @ Wal-Mart so we wouldn't get that wet....well, when we were leaving Wal-Mart all of them got into the car and just as I was getting in it started to pour down rain - hard rain - I looked at my hubby and kneeled down in the parking lot with the umbrella over me - I knew if I was to open my door then I would have trouble getting in without getting all wet and the inside of my car wet...he looked at me in a funny way and opened my door. I jumped in and said "I didn't want to get wet...it started to come down harder." He said "So...you sit down in the parking lot." LOL It was too funny!

I forgot to have him measure me - I just realized this...so he will be measuring me tonight and I will post if there is any difference in my measurements. I'll talk with ya all later.

KEEP ON KEEPING ON!

Friday; April 7th

Today has been a pretty decent day...beautiful weather allowed me to play outside with the kids again. I had decided that I wasn't going to workout today until I started reading BL book...I had gone through a few chapters. I learned a lot and have found a great workout for circuit training. I am starting the BL exercise plan.

*Woke up @ 6:45am
*Ate breakfast @ 7:15am (Special K cereal bar)
*Went to the bank - got there @ 8am (35 minute drive)
*Stopped @ my mom's work to talk with her.
*Came home - played outside with Ken for a little over an hour (we drew on the pavement with her chalk - I drew an outline of her - she thought that was too cool...so she had to outline me - it was funny I had like 4 lines as my body) I also drew her a house w/a swing set, tree, and a big beautiful sun...she really liked it, too. Oh...I also drew hopscotch - meant to play it tonight and forgot...hopefully it will be there tomorrow...lol.
*Ate lunch @ 12pm (Healthy Choice dinner)
*Layed Kenna down for a nap @ 1:30pm
*Talked with sister on the phone for a long time.
*Enjoyed my afternoon by reading BL book.
*Worked out @ 4pm - circuit training...total about 30-40 minutes. I did the circuit training workout that is in the book - it is really good...I can't believe it - I did 12 push ups without falling on my face. The only thing I couldn't do was the "chair dips"...I couldn't even balance myself. I was also able to do crunches for 7 minutes - WOW..what a burn...it felt so good though.
*Went outside to play with the kids...while walking down the stairs I thought I was going to fall - my legs were like jello from the lunges. I was going to walk a little bit but my dog got loose...I had to fix her up on her leash. I decided to play tetherball with Sam when I got back outside. As Sam & I were playing Kenna was playing by the tree with Kiki (our dog) - she was digging...she ran screaming in terror and hurting - I didn't know what happened until she got to me...she was covered in some type of bugs. The only thing I could think of was ants eating her up...I wiped her down quickly and started taking her clothes off. I took her into the house immediately to give her a bath - she arms were so red from the bites but after the bath she was fine...she is still okay - no redness. After her bath I gave Kiki a bath - I knew she had to be covered in the same bugs.
*Started dinner - broiled chicken.
*Ate dinner @ 7pm (broiled chicken w/bbq sauce and mac & cheese - this time my mac & cheese was Smart Ones...I made different mac & cheese for the family) I am still stuffed...wooooooooo.
*It is 8:45pm and I am so tired. I am heading to bed in a little bit - the kids are watching a movie - Yours, Mine, and Ours. They are being very good...even Ken is watching it.

OH...I forgot...I need to have hubby measure me. We forgot last night and he is heading to bed. Gots to go for now. Late!
