Lady Jami's Rambles
March 15th, 2006
YAY! A brand new journal for the next stage of my progress. All and all, life has been good. The manimal is supportive, as usual. He even told me I was "Looking really sexy" last night...which made me laugh. All I had on was a sweatshirt, and a pair of jeans. It still felt amazing to hear though, because coming from him, God himself could have said it, and it would have never felt as good as hearing those words come from him.
Each day, I plan on also including what I had for meals. That way I can also keep tabs on what's going into my body. It'll also be a good way to back track any slip ups, and see if there is a pattern. With any luck though, there won't be any slip ups, and I'll stay on track with ease.
Dieting is hard. It's probably been harder on me then when I stopped smoking....but what makes this time harder then the last times is, I am actually sticking to my diet. I am forcing myself to set goals, and reach those goals, and the longer this goes on, the easier it becomes, and the better I feel. I am even thinking about going back to school. A 27 year old college student....that sounds pretty awesome if you ask me. Better late then never!

27 huh... Oh, you're just a kid! Go for it! It's never too late, and since you're only 27, it's not too late for you to do anything! You'll only regret it if you don't do it, and have to wonder, 'what if'.
Your 'manimal' sounds like a keeper. Enjoy!

AHHHH!! When are you going to quit referring to your comments as rambling?? I have always been very interested in what you have had to say, and find it very useful.
"Manimal" (HAHA) Does he know you call him that?? That is really great that you have such a positive influence in your life who can see you for the true beauty that you are, and not for some stupid number on a scale or pants size. We should all be so lucky. So tell us about this guy! My other bad trait is that I am unashamedly nosy!
I think you are doing so well with your food choices. I am glad that you found something that you like, and it doesnt have to mean rabbit food. (Sorry Snoopy). You have gotta try the Apple Cinnimon Soy Crisps. They taste like Apple Cinnimon Cheerios. On my "Nummy Scale" they rank 10 out of 10!!
I cant wait til you weigh in again. When are you going to get on the scale again? I know you said it would be a while since you wanted a substantial loss. Keep up the great work!
~Carrie
"Manimal" (hahaha that was so good, I had to laugh again!)

Hahaha....Yes he knows I call him "Manimal". Some people call their mates baby, or darling. I call mine, Manimal. It's suits him.
Well, my Manimal is wonderful. It started out as friends, and progressed into what it is now...and that is an amazing relationship, and lust I meant love. (I mean both really hehehe) I never am bored, thats for sure. He's my biggest fan, thats for sure. He keeps me on track...but in a nice way. Not the typical.."Are you supposed to be eatting that?" with a dirty look. He says, "Baby Doll, isn't it time for your snack?" Or he'll lecture me on not putting too much pressure on myself, and that he loves me for who I am....you know, the typical dream man. And ladies, he truly is a dream man. He knows when to speak, and when to listen. He knows what to say, and just how to say it. And while his perfection sometimes gets on my nerves...I'd never trade my manimal for anything...not even being skinny. I'd be fat forever, and I know he'd still love me just as much. Ohhh, and the most wonderful thing is....he fell in love with me because of who I am. He seen past that protective wall I built around my heart, and weasled his way in. I honestly believe he's my lifemate....because no one could love me or understand me like he does.
Anywho enough about my manimal...I sound like I'm bragging, and I'd hate to make someone dislike me.
I will be back on the scale for my 28th birtday. That's at the end of July. I know that I've lost some weight because everything is baggy, or fitting different then it once did. For now though, my main focus is just going to be keeping to my goals, and laughing and loving along the way. I think it's time for me to live life out in the open, and not in the back ground because I was the "fat girl".
Ohhh, Carrie, I did add those Apple Soy Crisps to my next shipment. I put down 5 because I trust your judgement. If at all possible, I'd like you to try the pudding. It is YUMMY!!!

I am so glad to hear that you have such a great man in your life!!! That is so awesome. I also think that 27 is a great age to go back to college. I am 25 and I'm going for my bachelor's in nursing with minors in women's health and psychology. In my school, it is rare to see someone fresh outta high school, most are actually in their late 40's/earyly 50's. You go girl!!! You can do it!!!

Uh oh...if those soy crisps turn out to be nasty I am gonna be in serious trouble!! Would love to try the pudding. Do I have to be a member to buy food, or can anyone do it? I will look into it when I get my Visa taken care of. I have been looking at your food journal and what you are eating sounds really good. Beef stroganoff is one of the ultimate comfort foods...along with mac and cheese, fettuccini alfredo, and pizza. Not getting on the scale until your 28th birthday? That is going to be a HUGE loss. I doubt you will even recognize yourself. Bet you $50 people go up to your manimal and ask why he is cheating on you because you will be so darn skinny that nobody will recognize you!! Sounds like he is a great guy and a keeper, so hold onto him. I know how it feels to be goofy in love. Feels great doesnt it? Well I am going to watch the BL Special Edition Conclusion before I fall on my face. Have a great night!

I wish you the best on going back to school. I am almost 29 years old and I have been in school for 2 years...it feels great knowing that we are furthering our minds.
I know what you mean by having the one tell us that we look good. I feel the same way - it feels best when it comes from him. My husband has been complimenting me every single day on how good I am doing and how proud he is of me...I even heard him bragging to my b-i-l last night on the phone on how good I am doing. It felt GOOD to hear him talking - he didn't know I heard him. lol
My aunt saw me the other night at a wedding reception and she said "Wow...you're losing weight!" That made me feel AWESOME! I know that people are noticing now and that feels good...makes me more proud of myself.
It is always nice to see what we are putting into our bodies - I keep track of my food on fitday.com - it counts my calories for the day. I am also able to see how many calories I burn through a day...I always know that I actually burn more than what it says b/c I don't put the little things in each day.
Anyways - BEST WISHES on starting back to school. You'll love it!
