I'm not sure how long ago your accident was but I really hope that you are recovering quickly. I wish the best for you...are you needing anymore surgeries on your arm? Do you face the drunk driver in court yet? If so...how did it go? I agree that drunk drivers do not get the punishment they deserve...but heck, who does nowadays?

Get Well!

I've only had one surgery on my arm since I had the pins put in-- I have to have at least 2 more, but if all goes well, it will ONLY be 2. But that's not for awhile yet.

The guy who hit me-- he didn't get much. He has to pay all of my medical bills and restitution and 6 months in jail plus fines and blah blah blah. If I had 2 arms, I would have strangled someone. Don't they realize that I am the one suffering? Who cares if he has to pay a bunch of money. He ruined good use of my arm forever.

But at least I'm alive.

With all we know about drunk driving, there are still people who think that drinking doesn't affect them. They think they are fine. They didn't have that much, or they aren't 'that drunk'. I like the new commercials out now -- 'buzzed driving is drunk driving'.
But you still have those people who won't listen, and even a few who actually think they drive better, when they've had a few. They reason that they are more careful, because they don't want to get caught. Unbelievable, but true. I've heard it with my own ears.
Anyway -- so sorry to hear about your accident. I'm glad you are recovering, and hope things continue to go well.
