Oh no, the situation really does sound impossible for you both at the moment, my heart goes out to you both. I hope you hear something soon.

Hola!

Hope things have gotten a little less stressful for you. Has Buddy managed to stay clean?? I feel for your husband. What a double edged sword. Getting a job, not sure about job security, then being locked into a contract preventing him from finding something else. I dont know how employers can get away with that. Does he have a backup plan in case the company decides to rescind their offer? Is he checking the local papers and online serches for other potential work? He may want to do that to avoid "boredom." I know when I was unemployed for a while I got really depressed. You can only watch so much tv before all the shows seem to run together. Dont let this temporary snafu be anything more than that. Maybe you and your hubby (and Buddy) can take a walk together to break things up, and get in some cardio as an added benefit. Exercise raises your "feel good hormones." You will come back feeling refreshed and positive you can handle whatever life throws at you. Keep up the great work!

LOL Buddy has stayed clean My hubby and I were joking about that last night. First I dump the bottle of white vinager on him (he got a bath then), and then He got into the bag of garbage Tom forgot to take out and got into all the egg yokes - what a mess (I'm still finding spots on our carpet to clean and I found a little more on buddy yesterday).
He has an appointment to be groomed on Saturday
Woke up this morning hoping for too much snow to go to work (so I could work from home) no such luck. With the way the snow is looking now I am guessing I will be home before noon though. I am a snow driving wimp!
Tom got a call late yesterday afternoon from his new boss - apologizing for all the confusion and said their HR person has been out sick the last 2 days. And the restructuring has absolutely nothing to do with him and his start date is still Monday (the HR person had him confused with someone else). So that was a huge relief!
Today not much on the plans... work, work, work. Like I said, I will probably work from home for the afternoon. I am waiting for them to start cancelling schools and for others in my department to have to go home. I don't have kids, but figured it's a good way to gage.
My breakfast for today is a bag of 98% fat free popcorn - I forgot my breakfast. Lunch is my usually chicken breast, brocolli and couscous and I think dinner is going to be chicken breast, mashed potatoes and salad... our staple meal.
Well gotta get back to work... work everyone who's getting snow and stuff today be safe

Widdlecuddles, so glad to hear things are working out for your husband's job. What a relief! I'm glad he found out before the confusion made him miss his first day of work too!

I eat popcorn occasionally too -they have the little 100 calorie bags that are 98% fat free at our Walmart next to the beef jerky and snack nuts sections. It tastes good and really it is a much more appropriate size than the normal bags of popcorn. Tastes the same to me too.

Talking

I have 3 popcorn suggestions for you....

1) 94% ff Orville Redenbacher "Smartpop Butter"
Comes in mini bags or full size bags.
Scores a 10 on my "Nummy scale"

2) 94%ff Act II "Butter Flavor"
Comes in mini bags
Scores an 8 on my "Nummy scale"

3) 94% ff (I think) Orville Redenbacher "Smartpop Kettlecorn"
Comes in mini bags
Scores a 10 on my "Nummy scale"

Happy snacking!

I'm happy to hear that all has turned out well for your husband...I wish him the best in his new job. My husband is waiting to hear from a company - he went and done his drug test yesterday and we are waiting to hear from them again. He will be calling them Monday to see if they have made a decision...we are really hoping that he gets this job. It pays $2.50 more an hour and medical insurance starts the day he starts work....the job he has now doesn't even have insurance. We are praying that we hear something soon.

Thanks for answering my questions about your meals. You and your husband have a great supportive relationship - isn't it great? I love the support my husband gives me!

I'm way glad your husband finally got his work situation figured out. That's a huge sigh of relief!! What kind of dog is buddy? I have a shih-tzu and he's always under my feet while I'm trying to workout. Hopefully he stays out of yours! Congrats-- you're doing awesome!!

Sweetpea...I know this ? was for widdlecuddles but I know what you mean by having your dog under your feet while you are working out. I have a MinPin and she is always trying to jump on me when I'm laying on the floor working out - and always walking under me while I'm trying to walk and do kicks. I have actually kicked her a few times b/c I didn't see her behind me. This happens with my cat, too.

I just wanted to say thanks for the recipie earlier this week. I'm very excited about trying it this weekend for dinner. It's been so busy this week I haven't cooked anything.

Also just wanted to add that I hope everything goes well and you have a lovely weekend and your hubby does well at his new job Monday. I'm so happy that's all worked out. That must've been some tough stress.
