Patty_Ann's 3rd week journal
Hello! Today has been a fun day! Finally - fun!
Friday; February 24, 2006
*Woke up @ 6:30am
*Ate breakfast (cereal bar) @ 6:45am...I was starving this morning so I ate early.
*Made posts in the forum to catch up on how people are doing...completed my journal for yesterday...and checked emails - I was on the computer for 2 hours this morning.
*9am - started cleaning the house...our bedroom, our bathroom, living room, and laundry - I rearranged the living room so that Dan can get around better. It is more open with how I have the furniture...I also hid the shoe rack in the closet...we hate clutter. It looks so much better now.
*Ate lunch while Dan took a shower @ NOON - made Ken Ravioli's and I ate a Caeser Salad with turkey, tomatoes, cheese, and Honey Dijon Dressing (low cal)...it was yummy!
*Worked out @ 1pm (2 Mile Power Walk-30 minutes)...this was the first time I worked out to this one. OMG - I couldn't believe the burning in my legs - there are so many lunges in this video. I was proud of myself for completing the video.
*Took my shower
*The gentlemen with the kitten called right after I got out of the shower - he found the kitten and said I could pick her up when I wanted. I told him I would be there as soon as I got dressed. As I was getting dressed I decided that I didn't want to wear my big baggy sweats - I wanted to see if a pair of my capri pants would fit yet ...I haven't fit in them since I got them. TO MY AMAZEMENT - THEY FIT! WHOOOOHOOOOOOOOO!
*Ate a snack (celery w/peanut butter) @ 3pm
*Surprised the kids with the kitten
*Went to the park with the kids - we played with a game I just bought them...it is like Tether Ball but it is a tennis ball with rackets. It was so much fun...and quite a workout, too. Then I went swinging with Kenna...that was a lot of fun! I couldn't play too long - started to get a headache and had to make dinner.
*Dinner was @ 6pm - we had Taquitos and cheese curls. I know it isn't all that healthy but I wasn't in the mood to stand in the kitchen and cook tonight. Sometimes my family just wants a fast dinner - the kids ate ravioli's because the taquitos were too spicy. I had 6 of them with a cup of cheese curls. I drank kool-aid, too. I wasn't too worried about my calories for dinner b/c yesterday my calories were low. After entering all my food for the day I was surprised to find that I was still within my limit. I was even allowed to have a snack - I had a fudge bar (low calorie).
*It is 8:45pm and Dan went with my brother to work on their 4wheelers. The kids are being really loud and obnoxious - bed early tonight. I was going to let them stay up late but they don't know how to behave. Urgh! I have just finished my journals for the day and will be getting off the computer for the night. I want to sit and relax in front of the TV for awhile...I deserve that!
I really hope that all of you are doing well...and keeping your head up.
Keep On Keeping On! Talk with ya later! Night!

What a day?!
Hi Patty Ann,
Sounds like you had a great day! Was this kitten homeless? Have the kids named him/her yet? Cleaning? I am so behind on mine I will never be finished. When I start a diet, I get so distracted, everything else seems to take a backseat. Time to get rid of the clutter....
Oh Caesar Salad....yummmy! That has got to be the world's perfect food. Where did you get your walking tapes? I keep hearing about them and they sound like fun, especially when the weather gets cold, or you just feel like staying in. What are they like besides lunges? As for the noisy kids...try taking a bubble bath with some scented candles. I guarentee, it will make everything else dissappear. At least as long as the bathwater stays hot!! Thank you so much for your help and support. It really means a lot to me. You are doing so well. Did you about have a heart attack when the capris fit?? Makes you rethink the credibility of the scale. Keep up the great work and let me know how you are doing!

Carrie...the kitten was not homeless. We found her in a newspaper ad - free kittens. The kids have decided on a name - Princess...Kenna, 2 1/2 year old named her. McKenna loves Princesses! The walking videos I have are Leslie Sansone - Walk Away The Pounds (Walk & Kick - this has kickboxing in it), The Power Mile (1 mile), and Bat Burner (2 miles - this one has the lunges). I have only had one chance to workout to the Fat Burner video b/c my legs hurt so bad. I love working out them...makes me feel better. I didn't have a heartattack - I was just thrilled!
Thanks for the kind words! I try my best - you all have given me inspiration to keep on going and I want to do the same for you!

Congrats on being able to fit into your capri pants! What a self-esteem boost that must have been for you!!!
I think my favourite part of your post was where you went to the park with your kids. What a great activity to do with the whole family included.
Lunges hurt so bad, but they really do work! Good job on completing the entire video!

You are doing great Patty_Ann! That is wonderful about the Capri's, I know it is a real boost to our selfasteems when we make these goals. Keep up the great work!

Great job Patty Ann fitting into those Capris!!! Is your Leslie Sansome video the one that has the 1, 2, and 3 mile in it? I did it today and I didn't notice any lunges, but I am thinking I have a different DVD. I really enjoyed the workout though! I like that she uses all the same basic moves in all 3 programs.

I am with you Carrie. I was just telling my mom on the phone earlier, that I feel like my house is a mess, but I have lost 6 lbs. this week! lol! Everything does seem to take a backseat to working out and eating right.

I love going to the park with the family. My motivation on getting in shape and losing weight is so that I can play with my kids. I love to play with them and it can get tough being this heavy. After working out I have found that I have so much more energy...feels good!
