I love tea too! And I just think it's wrong to have tea of any kind sweetened, so I feel especially good that I like it without anything artificial. And it seems like any kind has health benefits. I'm a fan of those flavored green teas-- peach, orange & jasmine, lemon.... I haven't tried it yet, but I think I'll try them iced this summer. They have a hint of flavor, and smell so good, but no sweetness to them at all.
You are doing great. Thanks for all your postings. It helps to know someone else reads what we write about.

Thank you Carol and Carrie

I will definitely not leave it so long again between postings this time - I forget sometimes how motivating it is having such great encouragement and support as I get on here, I love it It's great to track what I am doing in my journal as well, it really helps to keep me on track.

Carrie - the soup is 41 calories per serving, isn't that great? and it's really filling because of the noodles. I read somewhere that incorporating a lot of fluids and liquid-based foods like soups, fruit and veggies is a great way of filling yourself up quicker for low calories.

Carol - I agree that tea should never be sweetened, you are right on that one! I love the natural flavours of herbal teas - it's very refreshing and I find it helps to curb sweet cravings too, do you find that?

Cherry tomatoes are my main snack these days and it really helps me towards getting my 5-a-day! I got through a whole punnet of them last night when DH was cooking dinner.

I am feeling good this morning - I had a delicious breakfast of oatmeal with chopped bananas and blueberries. I always feel better once I've had some fruit with my breakfast - definitely sets me up well for the day. Just drinking my breakfast herbal tea.

wish me luck for my weigh-in tomorrow!!! I had my 'last-chance' workout last night - 30 minutes exercise bike, 15 minutes jogging on the treadmill and 5 minutes rowing machine (I was tired by then!)

Thank you Patrick

I lost another pound this week taking my total lost to 21lbs - my third 'silver seven' with WeightWatchers - I was really pleased. My weightloss is slowing down now that I am getting closer to goal but if a 1 pound loss for the next 6 weeks takes me to goal, I am happy with that

I got a special mention from my class leader which always makes me feel proud and happy She asked me to tell the class what I have learnt so far and I just said that I have learnt to 'keep doing it even when you don't feel like it' This week I haven't felt that motivated but I have just kept making good food choices and going to the gym so that despite myself, I have kept on track, I've learnt that that is the most important thing.

I've got a bit more of a challenging week diet-wise this week so I'm going to have to be fairly organised with my planning. My evenings are quite busy so I've worked out I will only be able to get to the gym one evening after work this week - I've also got a dinner out with work on Tuesday night and will be meeting up with my sister and brother-in-law on Friday night so will probably be ordering takeaway - I haven't had takeaway food for 4 months so it's a bit scary!!

I'm going to try and minimise the damage by trying to fit in at least one lunchtime workout and try and walk as much as I can. The dinner with work should be okay as I've checked the menu and I can have soup followed by fish....that should be the healthiest option. Friday night should be okay because my sister and brother-in-law know that I am on WeightWatchers so won't be pressuring me to overeat, I just need to make sure I keep my own food choices healthy and under control.

Yesterday was Mothers Day here in the UK so we went to my parents' house for lunch - it was good because my parents don't eat huge portions so that is not a problem - and instead of dessert, they provided fruit, cheese and biscuits so I just chose fruit so that went well. I was hungry later on but instead of sharing the spaghetti bolognaise that DH had prepared, I just had a small bowl of pasta with a sprinkling of parmesan - not the healthiest of choices maybe but not the worst

It's the work's meal out tonight and I've had a fairly low point day so far in preparation. I ate my usual breakfast of oatmeal with skim milk but didn't add any fruit or yoghurt this morning. Lunch was a slimfast meal replacement fruit smoothie. I don't usually have them but I might start using them when I need a nutritious low-cal meal but I know I'll be having a big meal later on - they do help to keep the points down! I added some carrots and grapes to eat with it to keep my fruit intake up. Also been drinking plenty of water and herbal teas today so I feel I can enjoy my big meal later on fairly guilt free!

Haven't managed to get to the gym yet this week so I feel like I'm slacking a bit although I have kept up my walking and I'm definitely doing a good workout tomorrow evening.

I had a really good workout last night - it was my only workout so far this week so I wanted to make it a good one. I usually start on the stationery bike and just sit there for 15 minutes warming up but yesterday I went straight on to the treadmill. I did 5 minutes jogging, 5 minutes walking, 5 minutes jogging, 5 minutes walking. I'm trying to do similar intervals each time I train to build up my stamina for running and I am definitely noticing some improvement. I did the rest of my workout (15 minutes cross-trainer, 10 minutes rowing machine and then 5 minutes on the bike) and I still felt full of energy and raring to go! so I got back on the treadmill for another 5 minutes jogging, 2 minutes running at my top speed and then 3 minutes cool-down. I felt like it was a much more productive workout than I have had for a while and I burnt around 350 calories. I'm going to the gym again tonight but haven't got much time so will only be able to do a 30 minute workout but will try and make sure that it's higher intensity.

Now that I am closer to goal, I am turning my focus onto really improving my health and fitness through more intense aerobic / cardio exercise and I'm really excited about this
