Talking Cranky

Well it is now 12:17pm and I am tired and cranky. I really want a nap but I have got to stop letting my body think that it is ok to crash mid day. It is killing my night sleep. Although it is really tough when I have to be up at either 4:30am or 5:30am six days out of the week. Well the good news is that I somehow managed to get to 157.5 pounds. Dont ask me how, I havent been good. I personally think my scale is trying to suck up to me since I have threatened it's very life quite a few times in the past few weeks. But this is a bad week to weigh myself so I will try and wait until next Thursday. Easier said than done. Those pesky little numbers mean the world to me. I heard some gossip today at work and one person seems to think that I am not going to get promoted, and that he thinks he knows who is. I am not going to lie and say that it wasnt a huge blow to my ego, because it was. It took all I had to leave without yelling my head off. If I do get this position, I wont be doing this other person any favors. Last night turned out to be quite interesting. I am not yet ready to talk about it though. I guess my question of the day is, how do you find that special place in another person's heart so they realize that YOU are the one for them? He says it is something I have to figure out myself and he doesnt have the answer. Crazy as it sounds, I know this guy wants to be with me, but there are a few things about me that drive him nuts, and it is putting a wrench in things. He said that if I were to change this one thing that he would probably want to be with me. No it isnt my weight, it is an attitude...I know that God will bring us together because we are perfect for each other. I just need to find that one thing that will cement me in his heart forever. God I want a nap....

Sorry to hear your having a bad day. But let me give you a little guy advise that you can take or leave. My hubby and I have been married for 15 yrs and a couple of years ago he felt he had fallen out of love. His mouth was saying one thing and his actions another. So after crying and begging I found a book that really helped. It told me the best way is basically to play hard to get. Don't argue with them, they are right even if you don't believe it. And start doing things for you. Like losing wt, start something new like join a team (bowling, softball, etc), basically by doing this you become more interesting. And one thing that really helped is no matter what kind of day your having when ever you talk to him you are the most cheery pleasant person he has ever met. It was hard but it work. I made him first realize that I am interesting got him to take a second look. Also made him think I was ok with things and ready to move on (which I had to if he really wanted out). Basically it boils down to if you keep chasing them they keep running. LOL If you stop they turn around and say hey wait a minute why aren't you chasing. LOL It is hard to do but believe me it works. We are back together and better than ever. I continue to use these ideas to keep things interesting.

Hi there. First off I just want to say congrats on the weight loss. You are doing an excellent job.

For the guy problems...he has a problem with your attitude? Do you think/talk negetive all the time, are you mean to people? Whatever the case, guys always seem to be attracted to someone with a great personality, who loves to try new things, and who are CONFIDENT in themselves. I find a lot of guys get turned off by women who are always complaining about the way they look...guys don't care about these things all that much. Women put WAY too much emphasis on looks, when most men want a great personality and a woman who is confidant.

Oh...also,

I wouldn't take what the guy said at work to heart until you hear it from your manager (whoever is offering the promotion to you). It's just hearsay, so I would try not to worry about it until the time comes.

Hi Carrie-I'm thinking about you and hoping you get that job promotion you are wanting. Don't pay attention to what the others are saying, it don't matter. What matters is when your boss or whoever is in charge of filling the position lets you know. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you.

I'm also working on a promotion in a way. I'll still have the same job but hopefully a big pay raise. I've been in Dallas all this week studying for the Licensed Customs Broker exam. This will be my 4th shot at taking it this April. It is an extremeley hard test to pass. The pass rates in the past 2 years has been under 10%. I'm feeling pretty confident this time so I just pray that I pass it!!!

I'm glad you got to see your guy. I hope things went well even if they didn't go exactly like you had planned. At least he was willing to see you and that's a start. Just hang in there, things will work out over time and if they don't you'll be ok. You're a strong woman.

Take care and hang in there. You're doing a great job on your weightloss!!!!
