Widdlecuddles - March week 1

Still not quite on track... getting better though. Weighed in yesterday morning and saw a little gain It was to be expected after 2 weeks of sabotosh. I'm just thankful I didn't gain everything back.
My normal breakfast of my crustless quiche didn't work out this week cause i pureed the onions instead of chopping and sauteing (my hubby's idea). All I tasted was onions
My lunch for the week is a better recipe. I decided on Sunday to saute some cut up chicken breasts in chicken broth and steam some brocolli. i put them in some tupperware containers and will eat them this week (I usually don't mind eating the same thing everyday). I would definately do this one again - except add most too it... mushrooms, spices, etc. it's a little bland.
Dinner tonight will be grilled chicken breast, a serving of roasted garlic mashed potatoes and salad.
I think I am going to do one of my workout tapes when I get home from work. I have a dress that I have never worn that I would love to be able to wear for Easter. It's going to take a lot of work to get into it... but that is my goal for right now. I'm getting back on track.
GOOD NEWS FOR ME!!! My hubby just called and he was just talking to the guy that leads their Saturday morning golf group. So now my hubby is all excited about the upcoming golf season and is talking about riding the exercise bike at night and getting up and working out with me in the morning and walking our dog when there is no chance of walking on ice. That will help tremendously!! We can both get back on track together

Nicky...isn't it great to have a workout buddy? My 10 year old daughter has been my workout buddy - not every day but when I ask her she is there for me. I can't wait until my husband is completely recovered from his surgery so that he can workout with me. I would love to have him by my side the way your husband is. What a good man.

Having a short term goal like fitting into that dress for Easter is always good to have. Best wishes on that!

That is so great that your husband is wanting to get active to. That is so helpful. I am trying to think of activities to do with my family this summer.

I can't wait for Spring and Summer. I am so excited to get involved with the kids this year - I mean get down and dirty with them. I have so much energy now - and by the time summer is here I am hoping to have lost 20 lbs.

Today is my dad and hubby's birthdays. I have to work 1/2 a day today. We have a busy day after I get out of here. I have to figure out a present to buy my dad. He is hard to buy for. He is 59 today. Right after his 50th birthday he had a brain anerysm and a stroke. he is in a nursing home confined to bed or a wheelchair. he doesn't have full use of one side. Usually for presents we give him dvds, clothing, or things to color. I have been trying to think of something else he would like so that's why I have been putting it off so long.
After I find a gift for him my hubby, nephew and I are going to the friving range to hit some golf balls, then we are bring my dad his gift and spending a little time with him. Then I have a doctors appointment with an allergist. they blocked off 90 minutes for the appointment - yippee!! then off to dinner with my hubby. I am hoping to get home before biggest loser tonight but hubby is setting a tape just in case. One vcr for american idol and another for BL.. We see what's a priority in our lives LOL
Hope you all have a great Wednesday!! Talk to you later!!

I can't wait either. I am soooooo tired of this snow. It was 40 today which was nice but it is too wet and slippery out to go out for a walk. I can't wait to move south.

I ended up getting my dad a dvd and some york peppermint candies. he's so hard to shop for. I look around at things I would love to buy him, but know he doesn't have the dexterity to do and that make me sad.
Had my allergy testing yesterday. That was the most miserable thing!! They tested for 15 different things... cats, dogs, mold, trees, gr**** weeds, dust mites, indoor bugs, horses and I can't remember what else. I had a reaction to everything except horses.
Their scale was wrong at the doctor (probably didn;t register over 300) and weighed me in at 277. I was smiling inside at the thought of weighing that, but I knew it was wrong.
And after my 2 hours of testing went to dinner with hubby (and tried not to scratch my arms through dinner - stupid tests)

Oh man. I am sorry to hear your testing was so awful. I don't know what I would do if I was allergic to dogs. They are my passion. I guess I would be taking allergy meds. LOL

I am sure your Dad loved his present. It is hard watching your parents go through things. Mine are healthy but they are getting older. My Dad is 70 and Mom is 68. It is hard to realize that they are getting older and it makes me sad of what is to come. I try not to dwell on it.

I love how you put together your meals on the weekends -such a good idea. Could you please post your crustless quice recipie somewhere? I think that's something I could make and enjoy all week too.

Sorry your allergy testing was so uncomfortable. I was curious about having it done myself, but i was more interested in food allergies as several of my family members are allergic to things like wheat.

Cheers!
