2/28/06 - Today
Today has been a decent day. Beautiful weather!!!
*Woke up @ 6:30am
*Checked emails and posted in here until 8:00am
*Started laundry and picking up around the house.
*Worked out @ 8:40am (Fat Burner video - 30min)
*I didn't eat breakfast so I had a snack @ 10am - 2 oranges.
*Surfed the net (looking into children modeling for my little one)
*Ate lunch @1pm (3 slices of smoked turkey & 2 slices of cheese, along with 6 saltine crackers)
*Put Kenna down for a nap with her daddy @ 1:30pm - finally fell asleep about 2pm.
*Went to go get my hair trimmed (the lady wasn't in yesterday or today when I went in)...will be getting it done this weekend.
*Walked 1 mile outdoors - brisk walk
*Took Kenna to the doctor (red, swollen tonsils) - they checked for Strep but came out negative...gave her Prednisone for the swelling in her tonsils.
*Helped hubby with dinner when I got home @ 5:30pm
*Ate dinner @ 6pm (grilled chicken breast, bbq beans, steamed potatoes) - tasted delicious.
*Ate a snack right after dinner....chocolate covered raisins (about 20)
*Watching American Idol now...and posting a little bit more.
Oh...Dan went to therapy today and he came back home with one crutch. He is able to walk on his knee - he has a resistance band and has many exercises to do while @ home. I am so happy that he is able to walk - I have been getting onto him for doing it b/c he didn't have approval until today. Now...maybe I'll be able to get a little break. lol
I will be going to the doctor on Thursday to weigh in - I hope that it will be another 3 lbs...if not it is okay. I am going to get through this and you all are helping me do it. I will be back in tomorrow - if I have time. I have to take my older daughter to the eye specialist.
C-Ya!

I can't believe that March is already here...feels like we just had Christmas. Well, I am off to the 21 day challenge with a few of you...I am adding my pilates video along with my regular workout each day. I must say that I really don't like pilates...I'm sure when I get thinner it will become easier to do. I workout to Leslie Sanson's You Can Do Pilates...I began today. (Well, I am actually posting on the 2nd but I am posting my journal for yesterday.)
*Woke up @ 6:30am
*Worked out @ 7:00am (Pilates - 25 minutes & Fat Burner - 30 minutes)
*Ate breakfast @ 8:30am (Special K cereal)
*Ate lunch @ 11:15am (Caeser Salad w/Smoked Turkey, tomatoes, cheese, and Honey Dijon Dressing) - it was delicious!
I ate lunch early b/c I had to take my daughter to the eye specialist in the city - an hour drive.
*Went to the bank, picked up Sami, and put gas in the car - $32.00 - prices are crazy, dropped of McKenna @ home. She insisted that she leave with me.
*Arrived @ the doctor's office @ 1:15pm
*Appointment @ 1:30pm - she doesn't need glasses...woohoo.
*Left appointment @ 3pm
*Stopped @ Sonic for a fat free smoothie - Banana/Strawberry - it didn't taste very good so I didn't finish it (not even half of it) @ 3:20pm
I stopped for a snack b/c I knew that I wasn't going to be heading home - I was meeting Dan and the other kids at my mom's house to drop my car off at the shop again. We ended up not taking it to the shop b/c I have 2 appointments today...urgh. We are just going to drop it off this weekend.
*We sat outside @ my mom's and talked with friends for the longest time - I told Dan that we had to leave around 6pm b/c I needed to eat dinner. Remember - I don't eat anything after 7pm.
*I was going to eat tuna and crackers but when I got home I found that I still had ground turkey in my fridge...it was cooked and broke up so we had tacos. I ate 2 small tacos - ground turkey, tomatoes, lettuce, cheese, taco sauce, and tortilla shell. It tasted so good...no grease - I usually love greasy tacos but this was excellent. Definitely a good choice in my meat.
*My calories were low so I decided to snack after dinner (even though it was 7pm)...I snacked on some pudding and peanuts. The snacks brought my calories up for the day.
*Watched American Idol - those guys are so good. I am stuck between Elliot and Chris. They have such natural talent!
*Developed a bad headache and went to bed @ 9pm.
I have continued drinking lots of water each day...I never have less than 90 oz a day. My dad talked with me yesterday - he didn't have ANY coffee or pop yesterday - only had water. I was so happy to hear that - him and my mom drink way too much coffee. When you see my dad he always has a full cup of coffee - I don't mean a coffee cup either. It was funny b/c when he was telling me he just had a slight grin on his face - he was proud of himself. I told him to keep it up.
My mom is supposed to be starting her plan today - I hope she does it. It will require her to move which she sometimes refuses to do. She has absolutely NO exercise. I am wishing her the best, too.
I'm going to get out of here for now...will try to post my journal for today this evening. I have to take Grant to the doctor. C-ya.

Today...I had to remember what I have told others when they became down b/c they didn't lose weight. I had to tell myself this today...I didn't lose any weight this week...but I also didn't gain any weight. I am still at 235...I was upset at first and then started to realize that just b/c the scale didn't move doesn't mean that my body isn't changing.
I have been working on my weight loss for 4 weeks now - it is time for me to step up my workouts. Before I went to weigh in today I had already decided that I was going to add pilates to my other workout...I will be stepping it up from 30minutes to an hour each day. My body is getting used to the exercise and it's ready for more. I'm excited about getting more exercise and excited to get my dvd & book from Aaron. I'm ready to get going and start losing weight again.
I am determined to lose this weight - I am going to work my hardest!
Today went like this...
*Woke up @ 6:40am
*Worked out @ 6:50am (pilates - 25 minutes, Walk & Kick - 15 minutes) I couldn't finish my workout b/c I had a bad migraine....movement made it worse.
*Ate breakfast @ 8am (Special K cereal w/Skim Milk)
*Left @ 9:20am for Grant's doctor's appointment
*Appointment @ 10:30am
*Ate lunch @ 11:15am (I had a Cheeseburger Happy Meal w/Sprite)
*Met a lady about a cat - this cat is older (not a MEAN kitten)...we brought him home along with a Minature Pincher. The cat is part Siamese and is beautiful - his name is Maui. The MinPin is papered and she only wanted $20 for her - her name is KiKi (keekee)...she is 11months old.
*Went to my doctor's appointment @ 2:30pm (was also weighed in). I had a skin tag under my eye that I wanted him to check b/c I have lots of family with skin cancer. He removed it...ouch! It stings every once in a while....it looks like I have a black eye b/c the med he put on it turned it black.
*Went to Wal-Mart to get dog food, collar, and leash for the new dog. Toys for the cats. I also picked up some more salad (lettuce trio).
*Ate dinner @ 6pm (Grilled Chicken Salad w/tomatoes, cheese, and Honey Dijon Salad Dressing) I had lemonade with my dinner (Fit & Active Lemonade)...it is really tangy but good.
*Watched American Idol tonight - good choices I think.
*Watching CSI at this time - need to get off here.
I really do need to get off here...mising too much on CSI. I'll talk with ya all later. I hope all of you have good results when you weigh in this coming week. Take Care!

Hi Patty Ann,
How are things on the homefront? Are your daughter and husband feeling better? All that added stuff must be tough for your diet. It sounds like you are doing just fine. Ignore the evil scale. At some point, it has to make things right. If it doesnt think of it this way..."My way (or weigh), or the trash can." I guess the only way to get through this is to see the lighter side, or you risk getting caught up in all the excess emotions. In my case that leads to depression, eating, and more depression. I drove by a doctor's office today and it said...."Laugh just 15 mins a day and burn 4 pounds in a year." Guess it pays to laugh! Hang in there!

Thanks Carrie! My daughter is fine - just a check up with the eye specialist. My husband is doing okay...his back is out now. He had to go to the doctor today to get his back popped - I just couldn't get it to go today. He feels better now but has another appointment on Monday. His stubborn butt is going to play tomorrow - riding his 4wheeler.
I have definitely gotten over the upset feelings about my weight not budging this week. I know what I am going to do to get over the plateau...workout more. I just need to continue doing what I have been doing.

Today has been a pretty decent day...paid off bills!
*Woke up @ 6:30am
*Worked out @ 7:15am (Walk & Kick video - 30minutes; Pilates - 25 minutes)
*Ate breakfast @ 8:45am (Special K cereal w/Skim Milk)
*Went to Wal-Mart
*Ate a snack @10:30am (banana)
*Ate lunch @ 12:30pm (Special K cereal w/Skim Milk)
*Ate snack @ 2:30pm (grapes)
*Went to my parent's house - finally dropped the car off at the shop...the guy better hope there is not grease in my car this time.
*Ate snack on the way to my mom's house @ 4:30pm (Special K cereal bar)
*Ate dinner @ 7pm (3 slices of pizza) - it was late for me to eat so I am staying up late tonight. I usually don't eat after 7pm.
*Watched Ghost Whisperer @ my mom's house while eating dinner...I always cry on this show. My favorite show!
*Left mom's house @ 8pm (almost got into an accident - idiot driving on the wrong side of the rode...scarey)
*9pm - completed my journal in fitday...and posting here.
I don't want to stay up late tonight b/c I have another migraine...boohoo! I hate migraines...I don't know why I am getting them so much lately. I was doing so well for the first 2 weeks of my plan...surprisingly considering that I stopped caffeine. I am staying up b/c of me eating so late tonight...my tummy feels icky, too.
Tomorrow I will be sitting @ home watching my twin nieces all day while hubby and my brother go play on their 4wheelers. I wish I could get time to where I can leave and not have any kids with me and I could just go with the flow...but nope - that doesn't happen with most women.
Okay...I'm outta here for now...have to check out other posts. Later!

Ohhh another AI fan. I wasnt wild about Elliot until Weds night. He really sang well. On the other hand, I am nuts about Chris Daughtry. He is going to be a finalist no questions asked. When Simon made the comment about his performance being the only real one...the other guys looked crushed. There have only been 2 guys this season I didnt like at all. Kopa Cabana guy and Kevin. How could they vote out Sway before Kevin???
You had pizza??? I am so jealous. What kind? Came so close to going thru the Pizza Hut/Taco Bell drive thru yesterday. I wish the cravings to go back to fast food would go away for good.
Glad to hear the hubby is back in action and your daughter is ok and you are feeling better.

My FAV on AI is Elliot and Chris! I have liked Elliot since the first time I heard him - he is a natural! And Chris - OH MY! What a hottie - he reminds me of Vin Diesel - and his voice is so sexy! lol I didn't like Kopa Cabana guy either -I also don't like Gideon...he is so conceited. There is confidence and there is conceited - he is conceited...I hope they boot him next week. My husband was surprised with Sway, too.
I had Pizza from Casey's - I don't know if you have Casey's but it is delicious. I had BBQ beef. My calories were definitely low enough for me to eat them...that is why I ate them.

I love Casey's pizza. Sometimes I just need me some Bacon Cheeseburger pizza! I also like their taco pizza, with pizza sauce instead of refried beans. I cannot tolerate refried beans!
I always cry watching 'Ghost Whisperer' too. Last night was pretty scary!
Is Chris, on AI, the bald guy? I haven't watched enough to know who is who yet. Do you guys actually vote?
