Keep up the good work Patty!! My oldest daughter has commented on my weight loss, it makes me feel good that she's proud of me.

I have faith in you too, you can get to your goal!!!

I agree that it is very encouraging to see results all the time. That is awesome! That is great that you got the hear that your kids are proud of you! What a great feeling that must be for you!
I get that feeling with my mom - I heard from my grandparents that my mom was sharing with them what a good job Tom and I are doing with our weightloss.

Woke up late today - 10:30am
Ate breakfast (Special K cereal) - 11am
Started cleaning house immediately after eating breakfast...my daughter did a lot of the cleaning before I woke up so I pretty much only had laundry and the living room to clean. I worked in my son's room also - his room was awful. I rearranged his room, too. I am still working on laundry b/c I had to run to Wal-Mart for my daughter...she had to spend her money - she got dress shoes and a white top for her concert Tuesday night. I also picked up some groceries while we were there. When we got home the kids helped me carry groceries up 3 flights of stairs...the stairs are awful but know they are a good workout each time I leave my house. When I got home I put everything away and took time to eat my lunch - I didn't want to eat but knew I had to so I ate a little bit of watermelon - it was so good. I haven't had watermelon in a long time...YUMMY! I bought a large pizza from WalMart for dinner tonight - I checked the calories and they are high. I have decided not to snack on anything today so that I can eat pizza with the family. It better taste good! lol I haven't had a chance to workout today so I just went in my bedroom with the portable DVD player and put my W&K video (30min) in - my husband was watching Nascar. My daughter went in and worked out to part of it and then stopped. I felt good while I was working out - it gets easier each time I do it. I also felt good b/c I made it a point to get my workout in today. (Yesterday I only got my Power Mile complete - didn't have time in the morning to do the full workout.)

Yesterday was not a good day...I was at my mom's all day so I took one of my Healthy Choice dinners with me so I could eat lunch. When I got home I started cooking dinner about 5pm - we had (broiled) Pork Steak, mashed potatoes, and mac & cheese. My calories were over the limit....urgh! I laid down with my little one about 8:15pm and fell asleep. I woke up about 9pm to a banging sound - my husband surprised me by putting my garbage can together (wooden & very pretty). After I moved the little one into her bed I started into the kitchen. I usually don't eat after 7pm and I did last night - I had a Chocolate Drizzle cereal bar and a small cup of chocolate milk. When I laid down my tummy was definitely full - I had such a craving for chocolate...first time in a long time. My tummy hurt a little bit and I felt guilty. I have forgiven myself for yesterday and started a new day with limits. I want to see more results when I weigh in Thursday - another 3 lbs would be awesome.

Wow! Sounds like you had a busy day. Don't worry too much about going over your calories. I totally understand about the chocolate cravings but hey at least if was a Special K bar and not a Snickers Bar.

It is a good thing that we didn't have chocolate candy last night. I would have been in LOTS of trouble. I got the kids and Dan some chocolate candy today (Peanut Butter Cups & Whoppers)...I have done really well today.

FINISHING UP TODAY
I did really good today with my calorie intake...I was able to have pizza with the family tonight. We ate around 5:00pm - I had 3 pieces - total calories for dinner were 570...this was really good. I had water with dinner tonight instead of milk or a Sprite b/c I didn't want the extra calories. I had celery w/peanut butter along with some 2% milk - just before 7pm I had an ice cream bar - only 70 calories. I am very full!

I'm getting ready to hit the sack now - it is 9:20pm - the little one and my son is asleep already...my 10 year old is wanting to stay up late b/c she doesn't have school tomorrow.

2/20/06

Today has been a really boring day...urgh! I was able to play it cool - instead of eating like I used to when I became bored I read a magazine and worked out. I was going crazy and thinking about what I was going to eat - instead I got up and exercised for 15 minutes. This is definitely worth a pat on the back!

Woke up @ 7:30am
Ate breakfast @ 8:30am (Special K cereal bar/Blueberry flavor)
Worked out @ 10am (W&K video - 30 minutes)
Ate lunch @ 12:30pm - Watermelon
Became bored around 1:30pm and worked out (Power Mile - 15 minutes)
Started dinner @ 4:30 and ate dinner @ 5pm (Chicken Strips w/French Fries, along with water)
My calorie intake was definitely low for the day - I did awesome with controlling my temptations. I snacked on some chocolate ice cream - only 1 cup. It was a good thing that is all that was left because I could have had more. lol
I did not have anything to eat after 7pm - this was a tough one b/c I started to getting the munchies around 9pm. Usually I go to sleep when this happens but I wanted to see The Bachelor tonight - my husband wanted some pudding so I got him some. I was going to get me some low calorie pudding to eat but decided not to eat anything. I was just thirsty - I had 2 cups of orange juice...it brought up my calories but at least it wasn't food. After drinking the juice I realized that I wasn't hungry - I was just thirsty.

It is now 9:55pm and The Bachelor is almost over and it is finally time to go to bed. I will be waking up @ 6:30 in the morning and starting a new day. I am very proud of myself today.

I hope that all of you are doing well. I miss being in here all the time - my husband doesn't like me sitting at the computer much!

2/21/06

Today has been another boring day...but busy day.

Woke up @ 6:50am (kept falling back to sleep - had to rush the kids around

Worked out @ 8:15am (W&K video - 30minutes) - had struggled through my workout this morning - had trouble waking up.

Ate breakfast @ 9:00am (Special K cereal/Strawberry) YUMMY!

Had a WIC appointment for my little one, McKenna @ 9:30am - she had to have her finger pricked - her Hemoglobin was low again... - they think she is getting too much milk. I didn't think that too much milk was possible but with the size of her cuppie it gives her too much. So...they gave me a small cuppie for her milk! She loves the new cuppie!

Stopped @ the grocery store to pick up Pepsi (for hubby), spaghetti squash, and some wheat bread. I am excited about making the spaghetti squash - I was going to make it tonight but Sami had a musical program...I wanted to be sure I didn't have to rush through making it with it being my 1st time.

I had to pick Grant up from school for his therapy appointment @ 12:30pm - the meeting went really well. We really miss seeing his therapist 3 x a week...it is only 1 x biweekly. Big change!

Ate lunch @ 1:45pm (Caeser Salad w/Chicken Strip - 1tbs Ranch Dressing) YUMMY!

When I got home I was so tired...I took a nap with McKenna @ 2:30 and woke up @ 4:15pm. Watched Oprah - it was so sad...and it made me so angry with the decisions people (who have the power) have made.

Ate dinner @ 5:30pm (corn dog and french fries, I even had a Pepsi).

Left for Sami's music program @ 6:00pm - it was so good! Sami looked absolutely beautiful!!! I got some good pics of her, too!

It is 8:15pm and we are watching American Idol...what is with the girls - they are singing so quietly...can barely hear them. They need to belt it out -they have beautiful voices.

Will be going to bed @ 9pm - I don't want to get hungry.
My calories for the day were 1295...pretty good.

My day will be starting out early tomorrow - have doc appointment for hubby's knee...getting staples out. OUCHIE! I hope he isn't in too much pain after the doc pulls on his knee.
