Theresa's Journal

Ok I am finally getting around to this. I am so happy this morning. I am down 3 lbs from last week! Total weight loss is 8.5lbs!!! I have aways to go for my goal but I have a great start going. I have lost almost 1/4 of the weight I want to in just a few weeks! Yeah!!!

Let me tell you a little about myself. I am married to a great guy. We have been together for almost 19 yrs and have been married for 15 yrs! I am truely blessed and we have two wonderful kids 12 and 10 yr old boys. My husband is going to college for Computer Network Securities. He was a top mechanic for years but an injury from the military took its toll on him and after 5 surgeries it was time to make a change (he has another surgery coming this summer). I have done clerical work for 15 yrs and hated it, then I groomed dogs for awhile but it killed my back, so know as a temp thing I am bartending and I love it. Go figure! LOL I have two dogs which I adore. My great dane Zeke and my new guy Q the italian greyhound. I compete in agilty. My dane was my first agility dog and we had a blast together and soon I will start training Q. I can't wait to start doing trials again. This is my true passion is my dogs and competing. It is also great cuz it get me out moving. Here is a link to a webpage that has me and my dane on it. Q is in the santa pic. The second pic of me is me at my heaviest wt which was 181 and the second one is after curves for women and I was down to about 155 or so. Curves really works. http://www.hmgdc.org/theresastreich.html

Hi Theresa,

You have a beautiful dog! I used to work for PetSmart and every so often a bunch of people would bring in their Great Danes and Greyhounds. It was quite the site to see. I think if you stood one up on two legs, it would be taller than I am! How often do you show? Hope the weight is still coming off.

Keep us posted,
~Carrie

Thank you. As you can tell I like breeds that turn heads. You can say I like the attention. Zeke was such a site to see running the course as Q will be too. Zeke had an injury that pushed him in to retirement but I am going to try to take him to nationals in Topeka this fall if all goes well. Our last run together.

Lastnight it was soo dead at work. I hope tonight is busier as I want the workout. LOL Plus the tips are much better. LOL But even though I was bored out the wazoo I didn't munch on crap. I brought snacks I could have and stuck to my points and drank a ton of water. That was a huge accomplishment. I am a bordem eater. But I am learning not to do that and finding other things to fill the bordem.

Well I had the worst Valentines Day ever. My hubby and I argued all through dinner. I was so upset I had to go to the restroom and cry. I am soooooo bummmed out. It seems it is yet another time where I should have happy memories and I don't. It was over somethings so stupid that he should have never even gotten upset about and he totally let it ruin our night. And then to top it off my sweet child who meant oh so well made me brownies for valentines day. It was so nice of him but I ate 2 and they were super choc with choc frosting. So blew my points out the window and felt even worse. But atleast my son was doing it to be sweet and I love that. My husband felt bad very bad later and apoligized like crazy but I still am down. He frustrates me so and you can't go back and get the valentines days back again. Today is going to be tough I am going to want to eat the rest of those brownies. But I am going to do my best to stay away from them and make sure my kids and parents eat them up so they are gone. Give me strength.

Well I am still bummed but I am proud of myself as instead of lying in bed until I had to get up and get ready I did my pilates and feel sooo good about that. I can't control what he does but I can control what I do.
