I'm having a good day so far. I've gotten a lot accomplished, instead of procrastinating. I did my workout, and I feel great. I ate healthy, except for a small valentine treat. The day is not over-- I haven't made the cookies yet. But I am confidant I will be able to leave them alone. I actually posted on a thread called, 'what have you done today to make you feel proud'. ( I don't know about you guys, but that song is one of the best things about the show, I think)
I've had 48 oz of water so far. I think it has really helped curb the hunger. I have finished all the laundry, vacuumed ( even stairs!) dishes.... yada, yada, yada,.... you all know about housework!
I am proud of myself. And am getting that confidant feeling back, that , 'Yes, I can do it!" I know I can resist the things I shouldn't eat. The light is coming back on -- the better I take care of myself, the better I will feel, and the better I will be able to care for the ones I love.
You may pat me on the back, if you like..... ( ) << looks like this now.... soon to look like this>>>>>>> ) (

Congrats Muppet on being so motivated. I understand about dealing with treats and snacks. I'm a professional cake decorator, and temptation is something I deal with daily. I just keep my focus, and remind myself that while I cannot have cakes and pies....I can have those size 7 jeans.
I wish you all the best!!!!

It's Wednesday, Feb. 15. I wasn't so good yesterday, on Valentine's day, but I wasn't so bad either. It was a beautiful day, and I was working at preschool. I let the kids play outside a little longer than normal, because old man winter is due to return with a vengeance tonight! They love to race me, and even though I wasn't wearing the right kind of shoes, I did a fair amount of running around with them. It was a lot of fun! I did some conditioning exercises last night, thanks to, I think Missy, who had a great post about getting off your butt! It was just what I needed to hear.
I gave my kids my valentine candy. I got one of those huge hershey kisses ( how cruel! ) I did have a few bites, but let the kids have the rest. My daughter is the only one young enough to still have valentine exchanges at school, so she had a fair amount of candy from that. The boys were more than happy to share mine.
I am so proud of them all. Going to do a bit of bragging here--- nothing to do about fitness or weight loss.
They all auditioned for a play, put on by the Missoula Children's theater. This is a group that sends a few people to different towns, where they hold group auditions 1 day after school (Monday), cast the play, practice every day after school that week, and then put on 2 performances -- 1 friday night, and one Saturday morning. It's a busy week, but it is only a week-- and it's great fun. All my kids got parts! Of course, they don't all practice at the same time, so lots of running for me-- but it's all worth it. My little thespians! I don't know where they got it from -- certainly not me! Ok -- done gushing about my kids!
I got the scale I wanted to get. I love having an actual number, instead of trying to guess approximately where it's at. It shows me lighter than my old scale. Which, is good, I guess, but doesn't really matter, because I am the same as I was before I got the scale. I'm sure this will just be more accurate, and easier to measure progress, or any (gasp!!! ) backsliding.
My Weight on my new scale ---191.8 pounds.
I love this sight -- I wish I had more time to read and to post more on other's journals. You are all very inspirational to me!
Thanks!
Carol

Carol, I am glad you had a good Valentine's Day. Pre-kinders can run you ragged, I am glad I teach 5th! (Although I tend to go home with more headaches, lol!)

Well, we got our snow day! It's not too bad though. I'm so glad we got it though. I started not feeling so great last night, and still didn't this morning. I was more than happy to sleep in! I'm not sure what I've got, but it's some virus that seems to want to keep attacking different parts of my body! It won't leave, it just seems to move elsewhere. Right now, I'm feeling a tightness in my chest, and kind of achy muscles. So, I'm resting today. No working out. I feel drained already.
I've been doing good with my eating though. And I'm feeling a little better (thanks to advil) , so I'm going to be doing some cleaning.
Oh, it's so nice to be able to stay warm and snug in my house, when it's nasty outside!
Let me add a great big thank you to everyone on this board. I hate to keep comparing it to the main BL board , but this is more what I thought that board would be like. I was hugely disappointed, and completely thrilled to find this one! No one gets ignored here! Y'all should pat yourselves on the back!

SO sorry to hear that you are under the weather Muppet. Sounds like Bronchitis?? I hope it blows over soon. At least you are able to go about your day, and not lounge around on the couch watching tv. I know I would. By the way, I love your little Avatar. The little man just keeps on running and running. We should all have that kind of stamina. How much snow did you get? It is raining here in Ohio and supposedly 58 degrees. This weekend will send us back to the deep freeze. Is it springtime yet???
