I got my nails done today...it feels really weird because I am used to keeping my nails soooooooooo short. I think they turned out really pretty though. I am no longer stressed, this week has been pretty laid back for me since we finished everything early. We go to the hall tomorrow to make sure everything is set up the way we want it...then the rehearsal is tomorrow night.

The weather is supposed to be nice on Saturday...but a tad chilly, so I bought a while shawl to put over my arms in between pictures. I still can't believe this day is finally here!

Just thought I'd stop in to talk about my wedding day yesterday. My MOH and I woke up at 7am and grabbed some breakfast at our hotel. Then my mom, my MOH and I were off to our hair/makeup appt for 9am...we didn't get out of there until around 11:30 or so. We had to stop to pick up my sister's bf and then we grabbed some subs to take back to the hotel for lunch. Once the photographer arrived everything seemed to rush by so fast! Our photographer showed up at 1 to start taking pics of the guys and then she came to shoot the girls around 1:35 or so..same time the videographer showed up to get some footage on the guys and gals. Next thing we know, our limos are there to take up to the chapel...the girls were a bit early so our driver took us for a small little cruise on the city for awhile. When we arrived to the chapel he parked out front, while I sat in the limo watching all our guests finish arriving. I was getting more and more nervous by the minute!

Then the minister comes out to get me..and gets us all set up at the back of the chapel. I thought I was going to be too nervous to look at everyone on my way down the aisle, but I had the biggest smile and I'm sure everyone got some great photos. Matt did his vows so perfectly...he was so nervous about them at our rehearsal and he breezed through them with tears in his eyes. My voice was shaky when I said mine and thought I was going to cry, but I managed to keep it together. The ceremony went by so fast...and then we were married!!

Got into the limo to go to our photo location and spent a good hour and 1/2 there which ended up being the perfect amount of time for us. We were able to do our pictures outside like I wanted because we got a gorgeous day for weather. I was so scared it was going to be cold, but it was just right.

Our reception was so much fun, I had a blast. Our MC did an amazing job and had our guests laughing...and everyone loved the slide show we put together. I'm sure Matt was embarrased by the garter removal...they had the single ladies form a line on one side and the single men on the other...then blindfolded my DH and they were to lead him the way to me. (not making it easy for him of course)..at one point they turned him back around so he was walking back away from me. When he managed to get to me, he was panicing because he couldn't find my garter under my huge dress! Everyone was in hysterics.

Matt and I mingled around to all of the tables to speak with each of our guests and to thank them for coming. A lot of Matt's uncles and family wanted dances with me....everything was perfect and I am so happy with the way our day turned out! It was just everything I wanted and hoped for.

When we got back to our hotel we took a few pictures with the digital camera in the lobby area....then went to our room to have a bubble bath in the jacuzzi tub and we drank some wine together.

Anyways, here are some pictures that were taken with the digital camera of our hall set up (the day before the wedding) and a few of our wedding day. Enjoy!

Our head table

I should have some pro-teasers from our photographer in a few days.

We got back from our honeymoon in the Dominican on Saturday. The weather was gorgeous and so hot there! It was a huge shock to come back here to cold weather and find out we had snow! We had an incredible time relaxing on the beach and by the pools at the resort. They had nightly bands & entertainment for us to take part in....we also went horseback riding and to an island called Paradise Island. They had the most beautiful sand and aqua blue water...we went swimming and snorkeling there. We met a few other couples that we hung around with a lot of the time.

I made a website where I have put most of the pro pics from our wedding photographer. I have been adding more as she sends them to me...so if you'd like to take a peek

I haven't posted here in a long time, because there's no point really. I don't feel like many have continued this losing weight process and I feel alone anyways...not very motivating. It makes me sad that so many people who used to come here have given up on themselves. I know losing weight isn't easy, but giving up the minute something gets hard is not the answer.

I've been keeping busy with my new husband, he keeps me going. My trainer is a saint as well...I've been feeling pretty blah lately and he always gives me those awesome heart to heart pep talks. I remember one day when I told him I would love to work as a trainer, but said I wanted to be fit first...he replied with "You are already 99% fitter than most of my clients, you could be a trainer now." Hearing him say that to me meant a lot because he's always been big on trainers being in good shape. (There have been a lot in that gym that were out of shape). I'm still training with Dennis twice a week, still going to the gym all 5 days a week.

I have been disgusted with this seasons show as well. I don't find it very motivating at all. A lot of the contestants are rude and self-centred..and they aren't even there for the weight loss process it seems. There are only a few on that entire show who I thought really deserved this...and most of those true people have been kicked off already. I really want Michelle or Renee to kick those other idiots asses. I have absolutely no respect for anyone on that pathetic blue team. I've always preferred Jillian as a trainer over Bob since I've started watching...but this season just takes the cake.

My husband and I have been doing a huge clean up...boxing up a bunch of stuff we don't want anymore and taking it to the Good Will (for lower income families). We need to make room for the new wedding stuff we got. I got tons of clothes, shoes, old spice racks, knife sets etc that we are going to donate.

We had our work Christmas party last weekend which was nice. We went to the Hilton Hotel here and had a lovely meal of capon chicken with a medley of veggies. From December 12-14th we are going to be visiting my husbands family and going to their Christmas. From December 25-28th we will be with my family. I think we have decided to alternate years with the families.

I finished my Christmas shopping a few weeks ago already, I always avoid stores this time of year because they are way too busy and people tend to get very rude.

Now that the wedding is over, all our extra money we make in the month will be saved for a down payment on our first home. We'd like to buy one within the next year...so we'll be penny pinching for awhile

We have talked about starting our family next summer possibly as well...we don't need that whole few years honeymoon stage most people take as a couple after getting married. We've been together as a couple for just over 7 years already...and I'm 28. We're planning for 2-3 kids, so we'd like to get started It's a very exciting time in our lives right now!
