~Missy in April~
I always like to start fresh with a new journal at the beginning of every month and I'm so glad we are starting to finally see warmer climates. It's nice to see grass!
I don't really have to much to say tonight...although last night while flipping channels during the commercials on the biggest loser...noticed that a new season of Hell's Kitchen started and I was missing it! I wish they didn't have 2 of my favourite shows on the same night...I'm going to have to tape one of them now.
Found out at work today they are bringing in Tim Horton's coffee & donuts on Friday as our "reward" for all the overtime we put in....I'm going to have to pass that day...one donut is not worth the 300 something calories that are probably in it.

Yesterday's workout with Dennis was so much fun! He gave me one of my free sessions (he's giving me 10 free ones as a wedding gift)...and he worked out with me!! It was fabulous...I had a chance to torture him for once. I pushed him really hard and made him sweat...he told me his workouts are never that intense. He's already in shape so he just maintains...doesn't usually push himself like I have to. Anyways...he told me he hated me while we were doing it and I was loving every minute of it....mainly because now he knows how I feel!! Some of the other people at the gym were laughing.
Weighed in this morning as well...didn't lose any weight. I was a bit disappointed because I was really anal this week and ran 4 of the days on the treadmill in intervals at 6.5 speed. I did however, do some measurements using the fat caliper...since the last time I did them (January), I am down 2 inches on my waist, and an inch off my arms...those are all the ones I took for now. I think I'm going to see if I can book a fit test at the gym this coming Wednesday so I can see all my measurements as well as my % body fat....and how much of my weight is actually muscle. In January I had 115 pounds of solid muscle on my body and I'm sure it's gone up since then.
Tomorrow afternoon Matt & I are heading over to my sister's place. She's having a little birthday party for my mom *LOL* We having dinner (using this as my cheat meal) and some cake...as well as the gift opening.
We're going to the movies tonight also at the cheap theatre near our apartment...going to see Juno, heard it's a pretty good movie.

The results are in!
I had my fit test at the gym today, it was very well...better than I was expecting actually. My last fit test was January 11th...so this is the progress I've made in only 3 short months.
-went down 5% in body fat
-lost 1" off my neck
-lost 1 1/2" off both arms
-lost 2" off my waist
-lost 3" off my hips!!
-lost 1/2" off both calves
-put on 4.7 pounds of muscle!!!!!!! I was 115.4 last time and today I was sitting at 117.7 pounds of muscle
-down 18 pounds
As of right now, I am only 8% away from having a healthy body fat%
I did more pushups this time, more situps and more chin ups as well which means I am stronger. I did pretty good on the stationary bike cardio test they do as well.
I ran into Dennis right after and gave him my results, he seemed thrilled. If I did all that in 3 months...I can only imagine what I can do before my wedding! I still have about 4 more months of training with Dennis too!!

You are doing so great! It's clear you continue to impress your trainer. You ought to be proud of yourself.
Thanks for reading and commenting on my journal. It helps to hear that I am correct in my thoughts and reactions. I don't always trust myself.
That lady was a beee-yotch!

Show finale discussion - SPOILER ALERT
I feel kind of silly posting a spoiler alert, because it seems like so few actually come her to read our journals anyway -- but no sense ruining the show for someone who hasn't seen in yet.
I was so happy Ali won too! I am also SO GLAD that NO ONE from Bob's stacked team won either of the prizes. Good for Jillian -- good for Bernie, and Good for ALI!
I do like Bob and think he's a great trainer, as well as Jillian, but I didn't like that he seemed to resort to some pretty serious game play when he picked his team. I don't know that I blame him, and maybe my sense of disgust for this type of thing should be directed at the producers, or whoever thinks up these competitions. I know they do it to add drama to the show, but so many times it seems like that is more important than actually helping these people.
Everyone looked great-- all winners in their own right.

I came across this tonight when browsing on YouTube...I was literally mortified, I can't believe how someone could let a child get to this point. I felt really bad for the little girl..I actually teared up. This is child abuse to me.

I'm down a pound this week...yay!!! I haven't even been able to work with Dennis at all for the last week and 1/2 because he's been in Florida on vacation. It's good to see I still managed to drop some on my own.
I have to take my car into the shop this morning, hoping they don't find anything big wrong with it. I might go into a few stores to try to find my flower girl a dress. The weather is absolutely gorgeous here...it was 25 degrees celcius yesterday! Feels like summer weather.
