I got off early at work again today (1:00), so I decided to go to the gym early again. I did an hour and 1/2 on the treadmill today and burned close to 600 calories. The gym was dead again..loved it!

They are trying to pass a new law here in Canada that I think is absolutely ridiculous. Basically the government is trying to put all health food stores out of business and make it illegal to buy supplements etc without a prescription. That means you can't buy things like multi-vitamins or protein without a dr's prescription....&%$#! So retarded! They complain about the wait times in our dr's offices and hospitals already but now they are going to fill up the waiting rooms with people getting prescriptions for this petty crap? Dennis has already wrote a long letter to our MP which has been encouraged for anyone wanting to stop the bill.

That seems almost backwards of the way things are going now. It seems like more and more drugs are becoming over-the-counter, rather than needing a prescription.
But it probably stems from the fact that people really can abuse supplements. Too many people think that anything herbal or 'natural' can't hurt you, but it definitely can. As with anything, people need to know what they're taking, why they're taking it and any side effects there might be. And all producers of these types of things needs to make sure they are making accurate, realistic claims.
It's too bad, but I suppose it's hard to distinguish the genuine stuff from all the crap that's out there.
I hope it doesn't pass.

I went to the gym twice today...yeppers! I had today off (yay 3 day weekend) so I decided to go and do some cardio at 7am. I did an hour and was soaked when I was finished. After supper I went back again with Matt this time and I did my biceps, triceps, abs, and more cardio. I only did 40 minutes the second time, but from my cardio alone I burned over 700 calories on the treadmill today.

Tomorrow is weigh in day and I'm really keeping my fingers crossed...I've managed to get myself "stuck" again...so I'm hoping my extra cardio and the torture chamber (aka Dennis) has pushed me past it.

I DID IT!!!!!!!!!!!! I got on the scale this morning and I couldn't believe it! It said 161...which means I've lost 100 pounds! I've seen that number once before, but this time I will go past it and stay past it in the lower numbers! Dennis is going to be so happy when I tell him. That means I've lost 25 pounds since working with him this time around.

Matt & I are going to look at a limo today and possibly put a downpayment on it if it's nice. It's a family run business, so it's over $1000 cheaper than all the other places we've looked. Originally we weren't going to get a limo because they were anywhere from 1200-1500 for one! We couldn't see paying that price on a ride....but this one is only $379 + tax.

Anyways...have a good weekend.
