Weighted in today and i'm down to 138 again!
I feel like i am building muscle, so I'm OK with my lack of weight loss. A friend of mine has a hand grip BMI thingy - I'm excited to use it this weekend

Anyway i've stepped up my workouts this week - I've been hitting the gym twice a day. Once for cardio, once for strength. I'm sore, so something must be happening!

I'm pumped.

My friends and I did an "offical" weigh in over the weekend using the scale we will use for the final weigh in and a Body Fat % calc. I weighed in at 134.5 !!!!!!!!!!!! with a body fat % of 29%

I'm still losing by alot, but I am OK with that! We decided to do a side bet, kinda like a second place, for the person who decreases thier body fat the most.

Our weigh in was friday night, saturday I forced myself to not only do my 5k challange workout but also bike 5 miles (to and from the track i use) and than a 6 miles walk down in Ocean City! My legs felt like jello by the time 5pm rolled around.

I've been researching body fat %. Here are a few things I found interesting!
Please let me know what you think of the tips, and share any knowledge of your own!!

Quick tips to lower your body fat:

Exercise (2-6 times per week)
A minimum of 2 weight resistant workouts a week. More muscle... more calories burned.
3-4 cardiovascular workouts each week for at least 20 minutes
Drink 2-3 litres of water per day
Increase your metabolism with 5-6 meals each day
Lower or remove dairy from regular everyday diet
Treat yourself to desert a maximum of twice a week
Don't eat 90 minutes before bed

Classification Women (% fat) Men (% fat)
Essential Fat 10-12% 2-4%
Athletes 14-20% 6-13%
Fitness 21-24% 14-17%
Acceptable 25-31% 18-25%
Obese 32% plus 25% plus

I went to the gym 3 times today. Sick.

At 7 I went to total body conditioning - at 12 I went to Kickboxing - at 530 i did pilates and than did my 5k challenge workout (45 min on the treadmill!)

I feel so good, I can't wait to hit the gym again tomorrow.

I've been working pretty hard as of late -- and staying off the scale.

I'm hoping to be 130 by saturday.
