Don't really have much to write about. This place depresses me because no one comes on here much anymore, so I don't really know why I bother to post either. I guess it keeps ME on track and focused on my goals, so it does have some good I suppose.

Had another session with my counsellor tonight...she tried an EMDR technique on me which is supposed to help tap the logical side of your brain over into the feelings side...because I focus a lot on the negetive without thinking about things logically and come to drastic conclusions. I'm really benefitting from seeing someone about my body distortions...it's helped me become more positive about how I feel about the way I look.

My workouts are going good...still with Dennis twice a week, might up it to 3 times a week soon. I need to maximize my fat loss. Right now I'm dropping about a pound or 2 a week which is pretty good. The other night when I trained with him he called it "heavy weight night" and he wasn't kidding. I lifted 110 pounds on my upper back...3 sets of 15! On the hamstring curls he had me doing 85 pounds too..freaking crazy! In between all my sets I had to do side squats off a stepper while holding a 25 pound weight...pretty brutal, my legs were like jello after.

I'm going to my parents this weekend for Easter, looking forward to it because I haven't been home in a long time. Hope you all have a good one as well.

I don't know if I'd say this place depresses me, but I often wonder why I bother to post as well. I guess it's like if I kept a personal journal or diary-- I just do it on a web site an others can read if it they like. I don't know if it does me any good, but I know it doesn't hurt. On the positive side, I don't spend much time reading other's journals or responding like I used to. For awhile it was hard to keep up. Now, there's not much of anything to keep up to, except that we're hanging in there.
I get a bit frustrated with people who sign up and start, maybe post a few times, and then disappear. It makes me not even want to respond to anyone new. Bad attitude, huh.
Your workouts sound killer Missy. I know they would kill me! Keep it up -- you're amazing!

Hi Missy-

Just wanted to say Hi and that I think you're doing an awesome job! I can't wait to see pictures of your wedding. I'm sorry for not posting more, I think mainly it's because I haven't been very motivated to work out and lose weight. I feel like I'm in a rut and it's my own fault. I started working out again and haven't lost a pound, it's just frustrating.

Anyways, just wanted to say I'm proud of you and you are an inspiration to others even if they don't respond on the boards.

It was great to read a post from you Susie, thanks so much!

Carol, I guess the place depresses me because I once came here and left feeling positive and inspired...now I come here and it's like a ghost board. I used this place as a big motivation booster and it's been lacking in that department for a long time now.

I had an early morning 8am session with Dennis...he even admitted to me that there was no way he'd ever do a session that early in the morning like he puts me through! To top things off, I had to start the session off by doing the dreaded hack squat machine. All the other times I have done this machine with him....there hasn't been any weights added to it, lifting up on the machine is brutal enough....so today he decided to add 90 pounds to it! Man did it burn!

So today I did: these are all 3 sets of 15
Hack squats (90 lbs)
Hamstring Curls (85 lbs)
Upper Back (110 lbs)
Chest Press (80 lbs)
Shoulder Press (40 lbs)
Tricep Extensions (40 lbs)
Bicep Curls (30 pound straight bar)
Abs (no weights, but did 6 sets of 15)

In between all my sets today I had to do either 15 squats in between or 15 jumping squats..whatever his mood was at that minute lol.

I did the treadmill for 40 minutes today...burned a little over 300 cals on there. I've been running on it in intervals....today I did 1 min running, 2 min off etc....

Tomorrow is weigh in day...let's hope it's a good one!

Haven't posted in awhile...I'm doing pretty good I suppose. Been stressed out the last little while...with working overtime, spending my nights in the gym and trying plan a wedding, but I'm hanging in there. I had an all cardio day at the gym tonight...decided to do the treadmill since I always do the elliptical. Spent an hour on there and ran intervals again...I was sweating buckets!

I'm going shopping on Friday to look for bridesmaid dresses, and I don't really have anything planned for the weekend. I think I might use this weekend to relax...

SHOW SPOILER:

Was really happy to see a guy sent home last night. Tired of seeing them all be so cocky.

Did my weigh in this morning, was down another 1/2 a pound...getting there slowly but surely. I'm determined to try to get down to 150 by my wedding. That means I have 18 pounds to go and over 6 months to do it...seems achievable to me...but who knows. I was surprised I did lose this week though...Dennis had to cancel on me this week so I didn't even have one workout with him this week. I did do my own full body workouts and tried to do them as intense as he would do to me. There were a few days where I gave in and ate some chocolate as well...so glad I didn't pay for that.

My sister & I went dress shopping last night and we bought her bridesmaid dress for my wedding. I'm so happy it's out of the way because we've been looking for awhile now and nothing was the colour I wanted/or they didn't look right on her. Now my main focus is on finding someone to do our wedding cake and getting my flowers done. I have a lady who is doing my flowers, just need to set up a meeting with her to go over what I want. She is a friend of mine who does this type of stuff..and she is only going to charge me for the materials which is very nice of her. I also need to find someone who will do makeup & hair for that day.

Matt's dad and his best man are going to come down sometime next month to be fitted for tuxes. I still need to get a flower girl dress too, but that shouldn't be that difficult.

Picked out my father/daughter dance song too.."I loved her first" by Heartland...such a beautiful song and absolutely perfect.

Guess that's all I have to say right now...going to focus on my weight loss because I know this is possible!

I must say I am a tad angry with how they did tonight's episode. They brought Adro on from Biggest Loser Australia and pretty much ruined the outcome of the show for me. It's currently airing here on Thursday nights...so it's a bit disappointing to know who already wins without finishing them! I am glad to see both girls still up for the finals though.

I had a really hard workout with Dennis tonight too...all cardio based again and we didn't do much weight lifting tonight. He had me running intervals on the treadmill at 6.5 speed. I did pretty good..he told me I don't give myself enough credit for how strong I am. He also said I am one of his strongest clients in terms of strength and overall fitness level, that made me really happy considering he's booked solid 5 days a week with clients and I'm at the top of his list!
