Feeling Great 2008

Where to start????

Well I've not been able to login for ages it seems. Something to do with cookie / security or some such other issues in ie after my pc went kaput and I had to fix it all and install the o/s again. It went again so now I have a nice shiny new pc and hey presto, I can login.

I've been working my backside off these past few month. As you may remember I did a fitness instructors course last summer and since I qualified I've been busier than ever running training sessions and even a few martial arts classes.

Life is ok, I'm looking forward to a holiday in April. We're going to the place where we got married in 02.

Malta is still warm and sunny, but whe changed over to the Euro in Jan so now everything seems to cost more.

I'll have a read through everyone else's journals but I'm sure you're all doing well. I can;t promise to post very often but as time allows I'll drop in.

Phil

Busy with everything thats going on but sticking to my 5 day a week workout plan. Weight seems to have remained constant for 2 months now but I'm a lot stronger than I was at the beginning of the year so I must have gained muscle and dropped some fat.

Nice to see everyone doing so well

Phil

So, very busy week last week. I managed to do 5 days workouts of my own including a super 2 hour workout on Saturday. I'm also training a couple of people on a semi regular basis.

I had a go at distance training but I find it frustrating that people lack the commitment to complete their diet sheets, stick to a 3 day exercise plan and come up with all manner of excuses for eating chips n chocolate.

We've started to get BLUSA4 on TV here and its great to see how things have progressed.

Anyone know the name of those heart rate monitors they have that connect up to a pc so the trainers can see online what the contestants have been up to?

Thanks for the comment Missy. I'm going to start taking Spinning classes so I can teach them too. There's a lot of demand for this type of class.

You're welcome. Are you going to use these for some of your distance training?
I would think it would be a excellent tool to monitor your client's activities.

Possibly, it depends if the client is prepared to spend the $500 they cost though.

Anyhow last night I got to the gym and it was really busy so I did all cardio, burned 980 calories. There's a crazy new parking system too which annoyed the crap out of me

Good workout out this morning: Chest, biceps, triceps and Abs, burned over 1000 calories

Gained 2kg which I'm not happy about but I've altered my diet to allow more calories as I'm working out harder. I guess I need to drop it again.
