Yesterday-
30 minutes treadmill
20 minutes elliptical
20 minutes bike
I had done weight work at home the night before, so I focused on cardio.
We're having internet issues, so I can't keep up as I would like.
But all is going well. My diet is still not as clean as it should be, so I continue to work on that.
No workout today, so far anyway. I might do the weight thing again here at home, and hit the gym tomorrow for another good cardio session.

So little activity --
I haven't done much and there hasn't been much going on here either!
We've been having some nasty weather, and with a few other commitments, it's been almost a week since I had a good workout.
I ought to be able to get a good one in tomorrow though. These snow days make it really tough for me to eat right. I don't want to make excuses, but when it's so cold and snowy and you know you can't go anywhere, it makes me want to snack snack snack.
It's a long time till Spring. I can wait, but I am getting tired of it being too bad to even get out. A day like this is nice, but much more than that and it really starts to get boring. Makes me feel so lethargic. I've just been laying around watching movies, reading, and not getting too much else done. It's gone from being a nice break to being just plain lazy. I think I need some fresh air!

50 minutes elliptical
Still to come -- 20 minutes strength training and stretching. Sometimes I like to use the machines, but most of the time I like to do this at home. I almost feel like my dumb bells and good old fashioned lunges and squats do me more good.
It was good to get out today. More snow for tomorrow, but I'm not sure how much.
I still enjoy watching TBL, but I'm almost starting to feel embarrassed for them when they have to start hawking their products. I think it would be better to just have them look at the camera and do a little promotion before a commercial break, kind of like they did in the early days of TV when things were live. I just think they look stupid, trying to make it look like it just came up in natural conversation.
I'm a big fan of Subway, and I do chew sugarless gum. Not usually Wrigley's Extra, but I'm sure my Orbit or Trident is just as competent at giving my mouth something to do. I'm not a big fan of the 100 calorie packs. I think it's a good idea, but they are way too over-priced. It's nice to have them portioned out for you, but when you think about how much actual food you are getting, it's a little bit ridiculous.
I would love to hear what Jillian and Bob REALLY think of these products they have to promote. Do they really believe in them? Do they really think they are a good idea?
Sigh... we'll probably never know!

Trying to be a little bit proactive, spurred on by all the nasty weather we've been having, I bought The Biggest Loser workout DVD. They had 3 versions. I, II and a sculpting one. I picked version I. I almost picked II, but I liked the people better on I. At least the people I saw on the cover.
So now if I can't get to the gym, at least I know I can get a good workout at home. My other DVD's were good, but not cutting it anymore. They just aren't hard enough. And the few I have that really are tough, are quite dated, and I'm totally sick of them.
Hope I don't have to use it too much, but I think it was smart to buy it, so I have this option.
Well, they didn't have too much product placement - just the oatmeal, that I saw. But they sure seemed to spend a lot of time talking and planning. It really does not need to be 2 hours. I would like it better if they would show more of the guy wrenching workouts, and please.. show us what they are eating!!! Even if it isn't Quaker oatmeal, or anything like that. Share more recipes besides the ones that involve Jello, cool whip, or zip loc steam bags. I know they are all good things, and I also know they have a Biggest Loser cook book. Why can't they take some time and show us how they cook and eat on a daily basis? Or is it too boring and depressing to share?
I don't know -- just thoughts. I loved Bob, when he was talking to his team about 'playing the game'. I don't think anyone told him what they were planning on doing, did they?
I still can't respect that -- no matter what the reason. I'm glad the show seems to be throwing in twists to discourage this type of manipulation.

only 20 minutes on the elliptical today. I debated going-- I wasn't feeling too well. And I cut it short for the same reason. I'm going to take it easy today and hopefully I'll be feeling better soon.
My stomach is terribly upset. I don't think it's because of what I've been eating, because that hasn't been too bad. I think it's some kind of stomach bug. I guess it will have to run it's course.

I was feeling better today, but still didn't think it a good idea to hit the gym this morning. Tonight though, I did The Biggest Loser workout. High intensity cardio and on of the strength segments, as well as warm up and cool down.
It was tough! It just proves to me how important it is to have variety in your workouts. You have to use your body in different ways. I don't think it matters how good of shape you're in -- if you're doing something different, it's going to be tougher.
So I'm really glad I bought it. I am also even more sure that dumb bells, squats, lunges, etc. work much better for me than the machines at the gym. At least I feel like I'm getting more of a workout. Maybe that's because it's all me -- no machine guiding my form or anything. I have to really think about it.

Yesterday I did the boot camp workout on the DVD. Tonight I just did high intensity cardio. And of course a warm up and cool down.
I should be able to get to the gym next week. But this DVD is a great option when I can't. The bootcamp workout was tough -- only 20 minutes, but an intense 20 minutes.
My diet has been really bad again. Something in my head wants my stomach to feel full all the time. Well, my head is wrong. I have to retrain myself to desire feeling hungry. If only! But I can and will do better.
I really have to start thinking about food beyond what tastes good. I have to think about what's in it, and what it's doing to my body-- both good and bad.
I have got to take care of myself!

40 minutes elliptical
10 minutes upper body
10 minutes stretching and abs
I don't want to sound like a hair color commercial, but...
I am worth it.
I am worth the time and effort it takes.
I am worth any sacrifice.
I have issues with self-worth and I often feel like it really doesn't matter if I'm around or not, or even that my loved ones might be better off if I wasn't around.
I'm trying to overcome these feelings.
For the most part, I'm successful, but I wonder if these aren't the very issues that are sabotaging my diet. Why do I work out the way I do, and then ruin it all by eating garbage that I don't even really want? Well, I want it, but a lot of times I'm not even hungry.
It's so stupid -- I just need to NOT DO IT! But why is that so hard?
So I'm being a little bit morbid and think how my family and friends would feel if I wasn't around. And when I do, I know I'm ridiculous for thinking that I don't matter.
I'm worth eating good food. I'm worth more than the junk I crave. I can do better. I need to do better because there are too many people who count on me, and need me to be happy, healthy and confident.
I know you don't automatically get happy when you get to a certain weight, but my lack of total commitment wears on me. It brings me down and depresses me.
It's not so much getting to a certain weight that I need. I need to be successful, to follow through, and do what I say I'm going to do.
To anyone who knows me, they will find this funny -- but I've gotten some
Christina Aguilera on my Ipod. Beautiful, and Fighter....
I used to lump her in with Britney, and even before Britney lost it, I thought she was a talentless bimbo. But now I know they are not cut from the same cloth. I still hate that Genie in a Bottle song, but the 2 that I have either make me want to cry, or go kick ass. Both a good way to release emotions and frustrations!
I am going to get through this funk, and come out stronger than ever. Because I am beautiful, and I am a fighter.

Christina Aguilara is a very talented singer...she is one of those cross-over artists that can appeal to anyone. I have 2 of her albums (not the one with the genie song) and they are both incredible. She has so many different styles of music.
I hear you on the emotional thing. I have body image and self-esteem problems as well...actually seeing a councellor right now for it. I want to change myself from the inside out and it begins with dealing with all the emotional crap from the past that made me eat this way in the first place. It's been helping a bit...I've only been to 5 sessions so far and have 7 left I think. The next time I go she's going to give me a great book to read about it. I don't want to lose all this weight and still have body issues ya know? I want to actually SEE my accomplishments instead of downplaying them like I usually do.
