Thumbs up Looking towards a better me!

Well here we go again, with any luck this time around will be better for me. Here I am 5 pounds heavier than I was this time last year and am tired of it. You know things are getting bad when jeans that use to be loose on ya are now snug and your hips almost touch the arm rest of your desk chair. It even makes me sad to see how I look in photos, like the new one I have on here which was taken not long before I made this post. I'll make weekly post on my progress and pray that come this time next year I'll be back to the me I once was.

Good to see you posting again. Good luck on achieving all your goals this year....weight loss is all in the power of your mind. Your mind is what you need to overcome...the food & exercise is the smaller part of the overall success. It was the biggest struggle I had to overcome with myself along the way...but once you have the mind figured out...the rest comes easier. Battling the negative thoughts and the "I can't do it's" are what keep you from moving forward....you can do it, if you believe in yourself.

Well week one hasn't gone as I was hoping. Sure I managed to eat right but that is the sum of it. My son was sick most of the week so I had to tend to him and then to top it off my daughter busted her head open at school yesterday. Had to take her to the hospital and she got 4 stitches. She's ok and back to school today.

As for any weight loss I knew I won't see any drop mostly cause for some reason I have a fluid build up in my legs and feet that made them swell up. Oh well with any luck this next week will be better.

Week Two: Still no wait loss but that is ok cause I still have a long ways to go and weight loss doesn't happen over night. I have been eating really good this week. I bought me some low fat cottage cheese and fruit for my breakfast meal, been eating light for lunch and been baking my foods for dinner rather than eating something fried. Last night I made baked chicken breast with a sun dried tomato sauce, scalloped potatos and for dessert I made a light cheese cake from scratch.

My father-in-law moved in with us over the weekend and he is diabetic so that will mean making healthier meals which will be good for the whole family anyways. I took my daughter yesterday to get her stitches out and it looks like she will have very little scarring. Well time for me to get off here my son is screaming for his waffle, lol.

I don't know how I did it but I've managed to lose 4 pounds since my last post. I haven't been working out or dieting but some how I've lost the weight. Even my clothes that was tight on me back in January are now a bit loose on me.

I just found out last night that a space has opened up on my sister's group membership at the gym she goes to and she offered it to me. I'm so happy.

Well I went for the first time to the gym today with my sister and her family. I really enjoyed it. I did 20 mins on the treadmill, 18 mins on the bike, also did some crunches and some excerises for my hips and thighs (one of my biggest problem areas, lol). I was a bit sore right after the workout but within a few mins afterwards I wasn't really sore anymore, hehe. I have plans to go back in the morning with my sister and her husband.

Well I've done it again, I've managed to lose 7 pounds even though I'm not going to the gym anymore. My sister's membership ran out and they couldn't afford to renew it. My kids have helped keep me active and I've been doing my best at eating right so I guess that all has helped in the long run.
