~Missy in January~
Happy New Year's to everyone Hope you all had a wonderful night.
I have a lot of things to look forward to this year. I'm going to be working out with Dennis again starting on Friday, I'm getting a raise at work this month, I now have the flexibility to move around to different positions in my company if I so choose, I'm getting married in the fall, probably going to go on my first tropical vacation to either Cuba or the Dominican for my honeymoon. We'd like to possibly look into buying a house as well, not 100% sure we can right now, but want to look into it none the less.
I'm setting a goal to try and lose 20-25 pounds in the 4 months I am working with Dennis. So, hopefully by the end of April I will have reached that goal. I'm going to try and get out to meet more people this year as well, I have a hard time because of my anxiety, but I want to try harder.
Have a great day everyone! Hope 2008 brings all of you many good things.

Missy, I know that you will be successful in your weight loss goals this year as you have shown such determination in the previous 2 years. You are truly an inspiration to us all. I come on this site every now and then, and I am always amazed at how you have been able to stay focused when so many of the rest of us have wandered off the path. Good luck in all that you do.
Val

Watched the Biggest Loser Couples the other night..was happy that more episodes were on considering the other season just finished. I like how they are only in teams of 2 this time...makes things more interesting and different. Was mad at the old man though...I cried when they got sent home because I knew how badly his daughter wanted to be there.....anyways, was a bit peeved that Kim wasn't on the show..hoping she's back for Season 5. Her and Jillian are my faves.
I am starting my training tomorrow night with Dennis...couldn't be happier. He's already warned me it's not going to be easy...I have to keep a food journal for him to look over and track everything I'm eating. He's going to completely make-over my diet. I have a feeling my training sessions are going to be very intense cardio based exercises and extremely heavy weights. Bring it on!!

Great attitude Missy.
I wish I had remembered to record TBL on Tuesday. But I'm sure I'll catch up soon. I can't find any info about if they showed the kicked off contestants today. Just wondering how they did at home with their weight loss.....

I just got slaughtered by Dennis tonight. I had a "no bull" workout with him tonight and it was fantastic! It was completely different than the stuff I had previously done with him...more cardio oriented like I thought it would be. It hurt really bad...and I mean REALLY bad, lots of muscles burning. I had to do a lot of things where I had to balance, I normally have bad balance and he had to hold onto me so I wouldn't fall. We did a full body workout today...started off with the wonderful walking lunges, then did the ones where you stand in the lunge position and keep going up and down on one leg for about 20 million times lol....then we did squats, jumping squats. I did a chest press machine, an upper back machine, some free weights for my shoulders. I did bicep straight bar curls, triceps, abs and more cardio stuff.
After I finished my hour with him, I did 30 minutes on the elliptical...burned only 220 cals because I was going slower due to Dennis killing me!
He talked to me a bit about my food...he had me email him a list of foods I like so he can put a diet together for me...he is lowering my cals to 1500! ACK! I am eating 1900 right now and I'm going to feel like I'm starving...he then wants to lower them even more eventually to 1200 so I can get maximum results.
Anyways...I really missed working out with him and I'm glad my finances allowed me to get him again in time for my wedding.

I'm glad you had a great workout with Dennis, and I second that accckkk... on 1200 calories, I would worry about your metabolism slowing down. You look great, and after a few weeks of those workouts I cant wait to see more pics!

I seriously don't know how I'm alive right now. I just survived my second workout with Dennis....one word, brutal. He doesn't give me any breaks and I'm moving the whole hour I'm with him. We did full body again today.
Started with 3 sets of 15 on the leg press...I had to jump up and down on the stepper in between sets.
Then we did jumping squats...3 sets of 15.
I had to do 3 sets of 15 on the leg extensions with jumping squats between sets.
3 sets of 15 on leg hamstring curls...with walking lunges in between sets.
Did an upper back machine...jumping on the stepper in between....did the chest press with those balance exercises I did last time.
Did 3 sets of 15 on shoulders...running up & down the stairs & squats in between sets.
3 sets of 15 on biceps....nothing in between...thank GOD!
Tricep machines were all being used, so we didn't do them...I'll do them in tomorrow's workout by myself.
Then I had to do some hard ab exercises....
I'm actually pretty proud of myself for being able to make it through the whole hour of cardio-intense workouts...but damn does it hurt and burn and tire you out! I don't think I breathed the whole hour either...his workouts don't let you catch your breath they are THAT intense.
I'm hoping to see some fantastic results though...still managed to drag my butt onto the elliptical for 30 min and burn off 200 more cals...not as much as I normally can do on there...but given the tiring circumstances of an hour with Dennis...I think I did pretty good today.

Just finished another sweaty workout...worked out by myself this time. I'm only working out with Dennis 2x a week and doing 3 workouts on my own. Today I did upper back, triceps, calves & lower back. Ran up & down the stairs 5 times as well.
I spent 45 minutes on the elliptical today and burned off 435 cals...pretty darn good!
Excited to watch the BL tonight...hoping it's only on for an hour though, I find when they have it 2 hours long it seems to drag on and on...maybe it's just me?
