The pool is awesome, try some water jogging and do stretching in the water after your workouts. You get a better range of motion and there is less strain on the muscles.

I wish I was able to go to the pool right now but without the dogsitting near it to pay for the trip, I cant really afford to drive all that way.

WTG! on the pounds lost!

Just finished a good workout with Dennis tonight..another lung exploding one. Did a full body workout again...think that's what we're going to do all the time. Did some step ups on a pretty high bench and had to bring one leg up in the air up to my chest. Then repeat on the other side. Did the chest press and a back machine. We did hamstrings...couldn't work my quads, so we did jumping up and down on one step on the stairs 20x and then ran up the 2 flights of stairs...5 jumps, then up all the way...repeated 3 times. Went to do some shoulders...then back to the stairs for the jumps and the running. Finished off by doing biceps, triceps and abs.

The exercises itself aren't too bad...I can do them, it's being out of breath the whole hour that gets me! It's his goal to exhaust out my cardio system though...burns more fattage!

Did 40 minutes on the elliptical after that, burned 345 cals tonight...did a lower resistance because I was exhausted from Dennis.

Tomorrow night Matt & I have an appointment to speak with a minister...we're looking around for one to do our wedding ceremony, so we're going to see what he has to offer, what his fees are etc...on Sunday, I'm going to a bridal show here. They have tons of vendors from limos, to flowers, to cakes etc...even a fashion show. My mom and sister are coming along with me for that...should be fun!

We just got back from speaking with the minister, and we ended up booking him. We were there for about 2 hours discussing things etc. We both loved him, he has a great personality! I think what sold us was the fact that he was laid back and very easy going...not all uptight on religion. I don't have anything against it, but both our families are fun laid back people...so we didn't want our ceremony to be overly serious ya know? We picked out a few blessings we want him to say during the ceremony...and we're going to do one reading (not sure which one yet)...and I think we might stick with the traditional wedding vows. We are interested in doing the unity candle...where the mothers each light a celebration candle and then Matt & I take those 2 candles and light the unity one together.

The minister had so many stories and I think that's why we were there 2 hours! He loves to talk! He actually worked in the movie/radio business before and worked for 20th Century Fox as well as MGM...pretty cool! He's definately a people person!

Anyways...I'm going to the bridal show tomorrow...pretty excited about that too!

I just finished a brutal workout with Dennis tonight. I did full body again tonight, but in between all my sets I had to do 20 or 25 squats. So...I'd do a set of the back machine, then squats, then my 2nd set...squats and so forth. THE WHOLE HOUR! He kept track of all my squats so he could tell me how many I did at the end of my session....I did 500 squats tonight!!!! That's crazy! He also told me that I am his strongest female client he works with...and he works with a lot of people. He works 14 hour days...it's busy season right now. That was a big boost for me!

Matt's friend Karl and one of Karl's friends are coming here tonight...not sure what the plans are. We might either go to a movie...or they want to go someplace for drinks & food....ugh. Sooo hoping we don't do that. I'll just have to watch myself if we do I suppose.

Not much else is new...taking my car in for an oil change tomorrow and picking up some groceries. Have a good weekend!

I weighed in this morning and I have officially lost 9 pounds in 3 weeks from working with Dennis. Hope I can keep this up.

Matt & I are going to the movies tonight for something to do. We had our cheat meal today too...we made tacos! The shells I bought had 100 cals for 2 shells...and then we had ground turkey, salsa & veggies in it...not too high of a calorie meal for a tasty treat!

Ugh, I have been having problems with my car again the last 2 days...I go to start it in the morning and it runs for awhile and then wants to stall on me. It happens within the first 15 minutes of me starting it...and then it's fine the rest of the day! Weird. I made an appointment to have it looked at this coming Saturday...hoping nothing major is wrong with it. My car is 10 years old, so I know the big repairs aren't too far away.

I had a pretty good workout tonight. I worked out by myself...I did my back, calves and triceps tonight and then spent 45 minutes on the elliptical and burned off a little over 500 calories.

Excited to watch the show tonight!

Today was strictly cardio day...did a full hour on the elliptical and burned off 640 cals today. Dennis told me the other night that you actually burn way more calories weight lifting than you do cardio...so I wonder if I should cut down my cardio day and do some weights too!

I've been having a lot of temptations at work and they are SO hard to avoid! There has been chocolate bars for sale for the past couple days raising money for a charity...I have to walk by them everytime I'm in the office. I can literally taste the chocolate in my mouth...that's how strong my cravings are...but I haven't given in yet. I usually just go back to my desk and chew on some gum.

The show put me in tears again last night...felt so bad for the black team having to make such a hard decision...felt so bad for Jillian too!

Stay strong Missy! I know if it were me, if I gave in to one bite, I'd eat the whole bar -- if I had 1 bar, I'd want 2, and then the next day I'd want 2 more....and so on... and so on.. and so on....
I think it's fine to go ahead and have a treat, but you know yourself better than anyone else. If you can do 'just one', fine. But if you're like me, then I hope you continue to resist.
I'm trying to think of it now, as how long it would take me to burn it off, and how hard I would have to work. You can burn 500 calories or more in a workout and think 'Great!', but one treat could undo all that hard work. It doesn't take long to consume 500 calories, but it is sure a lot of hard work burning it off.
I'm not really trying to give you advice, even though it kind of sounds like it. You've been so successful and are so disciplined... and I am Miss Getting Nowhere. But your ability to resist makes me stronger. Your discipline makes me more serious.
So please don't eat that candy-- for me!

haha thanks Carol..I made it through the day again...they're not up on our floor anymore so I don't have to walk past them. I'm hoping they are all sold out now and no one brings more in! It's so hard..I wanted it soooooo bad.

I had a good workout tonight, did chest and biceps. Spent 40 min on the elliptical and burned just over 400 cals.

We're supposed to be getting a big winter storm here overnight with 10-25cm of snow or something along with freezing rain...yuck! I'm sure the drive to work tomorrow should be interesting...if I decide I'm even going to bother taking my car out.

Watching the Biggest Loser Australia tonight too!
