Had a pretty good workout today. I did chest and biceps by myself. I did about 4 exercises for each muscle. I did 40 minutes on the elliptical today as well and burned 415 cals today.
I found out this week what my raise at work was as well...I'm getting $3,500 more a year now...pretty nice raise. It was about a 15% increase for the year. I'm pretty happy about that.
Looking forward to watching Biggest Loser Australia tonight

Congratulations Missy.
I wish I could watch TBL Australia. I have never seen it mentioned anywhere on any channels that I have.
But it seems there is no shortage of diet and exercise shows -- especially at this time of year. I enjoy watching them and sometimes I see something that really strikes a chord with me.

Updated my signature because my weight isn't as low as it once was....put on a bunch over the holidays I'm upset about it, but not about to let it get me down or stop me from going to the gym and working hard. I may as well be honest and keep it real.
I had a fit test today because I wanted to have a starting point...so when I finish with Dennis again I am able to see how much I improve. Surprisingly I put on 2 more pounds of muscle since my last fit test...I am 115.5 pounds of muscle now. My waist also went down 2"...a bit surprised because I gained....but happy! Anyways...in 3 months when I finish working with Dennis I will be able to see how much I've shrunk.
While I was there today though, I pulled a muscle in my right quad...not sure how I did it, but it's really killing me. I'm going to ice it tonight.
Carol - I learned today at my fit test that diet plays about 60-70% of weight loss results. I'm going to clean mine up a bit too...I got some pointers from Dennis and he's cutting my cals down to 1500....so I'm hoping to start losing again soon.

(((((Missy))))) You are beautiful and I am proud of you! Those pounds will fall off soon enough. You always work hard and the attitude you have about how you lose weight plays a huge role in your continued success.

You know, I know that about diet, but I don't want to accept it. The sooner I do, the sooner I'll see some real results.
I think everyone who has ever lost any weight will have to lose it again at some point. I'm not saying we'll eventually gain back everything that we've lost, but I do believe that everyone slacks off, and puts some back on. The key is being able to get back on track. And you're doing that. Not panicking, just going back to what you know works plus adding some new things. This is the key to keeping the weight off for good. Being able to attack the occasional weight gain and get it back in control.

Had a pretty good workout today...worked out by myself again today...tomorrow is torture day with Dennis. Today I did shoulders, back and calves. I spent 40 minutes on the elliptical today and burned off 420 cals.
Today I started my 1500 cal diet...it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I thought I'd be starving since I was used to eating 1900...but the day went alright...no hunger pains!

I had another brutal workout with Dennis tonight. Not sure if I mentioned this before, but I pulled a muscle in my right quad. Therefore, I wasn't able to do any of his lunges, and squats tonight...I was actually really mad about it because with the amount he makes me do them in between my sets, I know they are really helping the cardio aspect of my weight loss...I told him I was mad...but he doesn't want to touch it and make it worse...so we are not doing anything until it heals.
I did a full body workout again today...only 10 second rests between my sets, very very hard. I still did do a leg workout..working my hamstrings and calves. The sit-ups are the worst part of the whole workout for me...I find them extremely hard to do. He has many techniques that aren't the norm for me lol...of course it has to be hard though...it's Dennis!
I did 30 minutes on the elliptical tonight too...burned off about 320 cals, I did it on a lower resistance because of my quad...the elliptical I use works the quads, so I didn't want to strain it, just did what I could.
Loved the show tonight....glad the white team was finally sent home.

I feel so sorry for Neill's wife, honestly he needed to grow up and stop acting like a petulent child...before he even thought about trying to lose weight.
I'll add my rant on TBL to my journal. Its entertaining, but as a real life tool and example, I am not a fan.
Do you have access to a therapy pool or even a slightly warmed pool? It would do wonders for healing, praying it does heal fast!

There is a pool at our gym...it's usually a pretty good temperature...maybe I'll try that sometime soon.
For today's workout I just did all cardio...a full hour on the elliptical, burned off 600 cals or so...pretty good!
I am doing alright on my eating...went a bit over my 1500 cals today because I had a 6" turkey breast sub from Subway on whole wheat..no cheese. It hasn't been too bad adjusting to the calorie change...I dropped about 400 cals lower than what I was eating...probably why I've lost almost 10 pounds in 2 weeks lol...well, and maybe Dennis helped a bit *smirk*
