Well I can finally say that I am a big loser again. I did warn the scale if I was up again that I would rip it out of the wall...It heard me. I am down 0.4 pounds. So I am once again at 154.4. But I did go a few hours later than normal. I needed a bath and a nap. I am peeved that I didnt lose more; but I am pms'ing, and I havent exercised much over the past week. But this was the kick in the tush I was waiting for. Got a huge compliment from the ex Operations Manager where I work today. He walked by me and asked if I had lost a lot of weight. I said yes and he said that I looked really good. (They aint seen nuthin yet!) My goal is to try and get one unsolicited compliment a day. As always; I was very well received at LA Weight Loss. Just think...I am only 34.4 pounds away from my dream job. (Possibly less if I start to look too skinny) Doubt that is going to happen.
Susie, you asked what e-check was? If you live in an e check county, you are required to have an emissions test done on your car every so often. It is now free unless you flunk. Then it is $20 for a retest or to get (what I call) a stay of execution. You are not required to do more than $300 of work on your car for it to pass. If it needs it (mine did and was quoted possibly thousands), then you just get it verified that the work was done and they kinda pass you. I have a year to sell the car or fix it. This is complete crap because supposedly only 6 counties in Ohio require e check, and mine is one of them. My father didnt even know what it was! It kills me that my car flunks but some moron can drive a car around that you can smell a mile away and nobody says a word. Whatever...I only found out my car had problems when I went to register it in my county.
Anyhoo, hope all is well with everyone. Keep up the great work! Yikes, I was so busy croaking another ITunes card I forgot to eat dinner!!

Congrats on the weight loss. E-check sounds bogus...that is crazy. I have never heard of it either. What is wrong with your car?

We have emissions tests here in Canada for our cars as well. It's basically to keep unsafe vehicles off the roads. If your car is 5 years and older, you are required by law to get a test done every 2 years to make sure your car is up to codes.

 Hi everyone!
Well it is storm season. This sucks. I had finally convinced myself to load up the "Pod" and go walking and the skies just opened up...again. It is humid as hell here. Last night we had a storm rip through at midnight that woke me up, and then again around 3am. No more severe weather please.
I feel thinner today; but we will see what the scale says tomorrow. I am shaking already. I am chomping at the bit for the 140's. Once I hit the 130's I will know that my 12+ year obesity nightmare will be officially over. I cant wait to just move on with everything. This world seems hell bent on telling people of size that their dreams cant come true and I am sick of it. I may not be able to alter my past or my present; but I can alter my future destiny. I know for a fact that my dreams never would have come true at 214 pounds. I have also learned never to settle for anything less than I deserve. Nobody should. I found out today that I am due for a raise at work once I take part two of a stupid transit computer training class. I will still be grossly underpaid; but just less than before. A raise is a raise. I will take it while I can. My credit card mailed me to say that they were raising my credit limit. I am going to behave and not use it. Especially since I havent made the payment for this month yet. Shame on me. My walking trail is closed for a while (not sure how long yet). I saw the sign when I drove by. They are fixing the dam nearby and the construction will overlap with part of the trail. I loaded up on dvds this week (anticipating the nasty hot weather) so I have stuff to do while I am biking. I have no idea what I am rambling on about since I am still sleepy from this morning. I will be back later I think. Have a great day everyone. Keep up the hard work. I see greatness in you all!

Didnt get to work out today as planned. Came home; ate and passed out. Then went to the store to get more Veggie Chicken Nuggets and by the time I got home a storm was coming in. Then we lost power. While I was waiting for the power to come back on; I did some stretching and some sit ups with my AB Roller. Not what I call a workout. But it is better than nothing. Now I just feel laaaaazy. Have I mentioned how much I hate storm season?
Wrote "my guy" to let him know how I have been doing. Nothing heavy; just friendly conversation. Havent seen him since my birthday and I miss him badly. But I have a goal to keep working towards so I really cant spend too much time feeling sorry for myself. I have a feeling that the next time we see each other; I will weigh close to (if not below) what I came to Ohio weighing. I am guessing that was the low 140's. I want to knock his socks off. I know there will be a day in the not so distant future when he is finally chasing after me and I will be the one to decide what happens. Patience is indeed a virtue.
Anyone have any good song suggestions for my IPod? I listen to just about anything. (Except hard core rap). Accepting all suggestions. Oh and I found that there is a remix version of "Proud" available on ITunes.

Hello Carrie-- the bars I baked did indeed find a good home -- in the bellies of my husband and daughter. NOT in mine! There's no reason in the world why they shouldn't be able to enjoy things, just because I can't. I feel very proud of myself when I can provide them with the occasional treat, while resisting it myself. Sometimes my resolve is stronger than others. Once, I baked chocolate chip cookies --( yes, from scratch) and didn't eat a bite -- didn't like a spoon--nothing. Yeah -- my resolve was pretty darn strong that day! I wish I could always be that disciplined!
Don't laugh, but I just downloaded some Tom Jones. I don't even know why it popped into my head. I got 'Help Yourself' 'It's not unusual", and 'She's a Lady". I especially enjoy 'help yourself' They are cheesy -- old school, and a whole lot of fun! Been thinking about grabbing some Prince too. ( or whatever he's calling himself now) He brings back some good old college memories for me!
Oh yeah -- and I also downloaded 'Say a little Prayer' by Dionne Warwick. Aretha and someone -- Diane King? Also have really good versions. I might get the King one too -- just for fun. Yes-- I do like the old school stuff!

Glad to hear that the bars found a good home.
I laugh at nothing...I have the Dion Warwick song but I think it was sung by the cast from "My Best Friend's Wedding." I just checked and I dont have Tom Jones; but I am a fan. Ever since I saw Alfonso Ribero duet with Tom on the set of "The Fresh Prince," I love the "Not Unusual" song. I just have to refrain from the Carlton-like dancing when I hear it! Prince is great too. Nothing like a little "Raspberry Beret." I wish they had more of his stuff though. I really like the song, "Get Off." The video was pushing the envelope though...
Glad to see you are enjoying fattening your Nano!

Carrie
I am an 80's girl myself. When I was traveling this weekend on Airtran they provide XM Satellite Radio at each seat and I so loved listening to all those 80's songs. Brings back memories. Huey Lewis and the News, Madonna, Duran Duran, etc. I listen to most everything...these days: Lyfe Jennings, Mary J Blige, Alicia Keys, Christina A, Pink, Mariah, Kelly Clarkson, Def Leppard, Guns n Roses, Journey, Air Supply, Shania, Allan Jackson..I am all over the place. I am into those greatest hits cds too now: Prince, TLC, Culture Club, Madonna. I also like those NOW music compilation cds. I'm a music lover.
