Oh yeah, cinnamon is my favorite spice (followed by black pepper and oregano.) I also love cinnamon flavored candles. I am just all about cinnamon. And it has many health benefits too. Yes I was nerdy enough to do the research too.

Very happy because tonight is, "Grey's Anatomy" night. And right now I am downloading this week's episode of, "Lost." Total tv junkie this season.

Louie I totally forgot you were such a health food nut. Of course you would like this stuff. My mom had me try it this past weekend and I could have downed the entire box. It even tastes good dry which is how I took it to work today. I am all about breakfast on the go since I would rather get 15 mins of ZZZZ's instead of making breakfast.

Dinner was Lean Cuisine (Beef Portabello and cooked Broccoli) and some Melba toast. The melba toast is 60 cals for 6 slices, but all starches are going to be the death of me. Tomorrow foodwise I will be better because I will have pre-planned everything. Instead of just winging it.

Going to run to the grocery store and I dont want to. Normally that is fun for me; but it is really getting cold out. The one thing that stinks about losing body weight is that you will freeze your tush off faster. I want my weight back for the winter!! Then it can go away.

Think I am going to do some cleaning this weekend. What else do I have to do? Well I do need to get back in the gym again if I want to get moving again. I need a good run under my belt again; but I am afraid I have lost endurance since being sick and putting a few back on. Yucky time to get sick. I was really on a roll there. But I will push through this because I have more important things in mind; like my health, seeing new numbers on the scale, losing more inches so I have an excuse not to wear their stupid work pants, and my next meeting with Eric (whenever that is.)

Hey Carrie,

I am sooo not a health food nut naturally, but I have had many health issues over the years and hated taking medication so started seeing a naturopath. She was really strict and it cost a fortune to buy all this stuff - powder/ liquid supplements (which I just put in the cupboard and never took), plus the consultation every time. I never stuck to the plan - too regimented and strict, just did not fit with my lifestyle.`But I always was interested in nutrition/ health and so when I was made redundant, gained 30 kilos I knew that by learning to be a naturopath and understand it first hand, this was right for me - my health issues are still here, and I need to fix them responsibly from the inside out if I want a happy, healthy life.

I have only started learning first hand about what I should put in my mouth, and am only starting to follow it. You should see it at school - I am surrounded by health freaks who have lived this life naturally through choice years before taking on what they are studying - massage therapists, kinesiologists, reflexology, nutritionalists, homeopaths - and me, the mega fraud, in her tracky pants and tshirt, easily the largest girl there by far.

So I am enjoying finding healthy things I like to eat - so not the old me - where are my burger and fries???
Hope the gym went well, and have a great weekend,
Louie

Bugers and fries....yum! Actually, veggie burgers now make my mouth water too. Especially the Garden Veggie and the Spicy Black Bean Burger.

Ok so you know how I was yammering on and on about that special cereal that is made in Canada and costs a fortune? Well my mother has to order it through the mail and the last time she bought a case (17 boxes). I went online and found their site. Pretty expensive stuff. They also have two new cereals that are along the same line. So this morning I was on the early run and I went into Giant Eagle to get some apple slices for breakfast. I had time to go and run into the Organics section. They had this manufacturer and I was so happy I was jumping up and down....until I realized they had every cereal (plus the two new ones), except my Hemp Plus!! Somehow I knew that would be too easy. So I bought one box of each of the new ones. (Organic FlaxPlus Pumpkin and Acai Apple Granola). Too bad I left the bag on the bus and I cant get it until tomorrow. Wimped out of going to Giant Eagle last night. Was frigid; so I took a hot shower and passed out. Had the munchies around 1 am (not good). But I ate and passed out. Today, the scale was down a little. No official weigh in for me until next Friday. No sense in driving myself nuts.

Had many compliments on my hair today. I wore it down and usually it is up. For those of you that are wondering; it is down to my rear end. I love it; but it needs a trim.

Boy the wind is howling out there. Methinks I will be blown away if I go outside. Anyone have any cement shoes I could borrow? Must get to the grocery store today. I need food!!

I love cinnamon, and all spices really. They add such flavor and so few calories. That cereal sounds good -glad you found atleast some kinds near you so less expensive. Maybe you'll enjoy them just as much. (The flax pumpkin seed sounds divine!)

Hope you made it to the store okay braving the elements. Good luck with your exercise this weekend. Also, I'm so glad you see a new you in the mirror. That's a huge hurdle and I'm so happy you passed it!

Ps. I laughed that you got on the scale today -naughty girl! I thought we weren't supposed to weigh more than once a week? Um, yeah, so I got on my scale this morning too, even though my weigh-in was just yesterday. Someone needs to lock these things up and only let us access them on weigh-ins! Hehe!

Well today didnt end up to be so bad. LOL yeah, I did get on the scale this morning. I really havent spent that much time on it recently. I was too afraid to get on it after the past few days. But I finally did yesterday and I didnt like what I saw. I only reweighed today just to see if my "creative eating" was going to get me into trouble or not. Luckily I was down 1.7 pounds (weighed in earlier than usual too), so life is good. I now know that I can keep my toes off the scale until next Friday. Tomorrow I head off to the gym with a vengeance. I think I am officially over being sick; if not, I am declaring myself healthy whether my body is ready or not. Sitting around is making me feel guilty. I have 38 days before I go home again.

Food today has been pretty decent (not 100% though)...

Breakfast:
Granny Smith Apple slices (easy to munch while driving)
Small amount of Hemp Plus cereal

Lunch:
Garden Salad with Kraft Light Done Right House Italian Dressing (yum!!)
Hormel No Beans Chili (super yum!!)
1 Whole Wheat Pita

Snack:
More Granny Smith Apple Slices

Dinner:
Breyer's Probiotic Yogurt with a little Hemp Plus cereal on top
Sugar Free Hot Chocolate
2 LA Lite Bars (better than fast food I guess)

Woohoo! Law & Order is on tonight. Too bad it isnt Chris Noth night again. But I will survive. My shift was supposed to start at 5 am tomorrow, but now I dont have to go in until 7:15 and I am done 45 mins early. Super easy shift. I know where all my clients live so I dont have to drag along a map book. Then I come home and do some cleaning and then head off to the gym. Will leave the dreaded laundry until Sunday. Didnt I just get done with some?? Somebody needs to invent clothes that never get dirty or clothes that wash themselves. They'd make Donald Trump look like a pauper. Also have to clean Snoopy's cage again. Yuck.

I have no idea why, but I called Eric briefly just to talk. He was getting ready for work. He actually sounded happy to hear from me. I asked him to call me later and he said he couldnt. I ment while he was at work. He made some stupid joke about how at least he would be getting paid for it. I knew he was joking but for some reason I walked right into it. He did remember the first 3 numbers of my phone number. I am kinda surprised. So maybe he will call and maybe he wont. I am not banking on it. I am sure tonight will be busy. But he at least asked for the number. Still not sure if he is scared to see me or not. All of his actions lately lead me to believe that he is because he is afraid of what will happen or what he will feel. Still wondering why he would tell me that he would be a little jealous if somebody else asked me out. (Do guys ever admit that just for the heck of it?) Tempted to create a "Phantom boyfriend" but with my luck, it would blow up in my face.

Yes I am dying to dive into that pumpkin cereal. Wherever there is pumpkin, there is cinnamon too! The only thing is this cereal doesnt list the Omega 3/6 counts. So I am guessing it is nowhere near what the other one is. But it will satisfy me until I can get my hands on the other stuff. Maybe when I go to MA in November I can come back with an entire suitcase of it. Yes it is that good; but the boxes are teeny tiny. 1 serving is a half cup! A mouse would be happy with that serving size.

Well gotta see if the new "Grey's Anatomy" episode is up for download. I slept through last night's episode as well as the snowfall. I was terrified to open the front door this morning. I kept crossing my fingers, toes and everything else....<no snow, no snow, now snow...>

Things sound great and your own eating plan is obviously working too, sounds very yummy as well! I love Chris Noth too, although could not believe his name was "John" after all that waiting in SATC!!

Have a great weekend!

Woops, he is on Law and Order CI (too many spin offs to keep them straight)...

No call from Eric. No huge surprise there. I just wish he hadnt asked for my number like he was going to. Or maybe they were just busy. I dont know; still hurts.

Took a bite of the pumpkin cereal and it tastes just the same as the Hemp Plus. Was hoping for a cinnamon and pumpkin taste. It is still good though.

Saw the new show; "1 vs 100." These people really walk away with loads of cash. First guy cashed out at $135,000 and the second is well on her way. Added twist being Ken Jennings in the "Mob." Who has a chance at stumping this guy for a million??

Woke up in time to eat breakfast (now that's a first in a long time). I had Blueberry Heart Smart Oatmeal. I had forgotten how yummy it was. I couldnt resist; I got back on the scale again this morning before my shift and I am down again. Still up some from 145.2 (my lowest to date). Gotta hide the scale or I will drive myself nuts. It can say all it wants; but the only number that matters was last Thursday's number and this coming Friday's number. Had 1 Whole Wheat Pita Pocket, Clam Chowder, and a salad for lunch. Dinner will most likely be salad, fruit, blueberry yogurt, and no sugar added hot chocolate. Trying to keep things simple. For those of you who noticed that I am now on a blueberry kick....It all began last weekend when we were in Maine. I saw Blueberry Pancake Syrup (they had blueberry everything!) and man did I wish they had sugarfree. No such luck. But I did walk away with a bag of Blueberry coffee. Oh wow does this smell awesome!! Smells like blueberry pie. It was worth buying for the smell alone. I cant wait to taste it. Unfortunately, it is not caffeine free. So that is reserved for mornings I want to stay in bed and play hooky. Also found a Pumpkin Spice Coffee that I want to order. The manufacturer is Green Mountain.

So far my, "Eat Whatever The Heck I want to (Within Reason) Diet (aka: Lifestyle Change) is working. My only rules are the following:

1) Everything in moderation; I am not a prisoner to food anymore
2) If I cant be trusted with it; I dont buy it
3) Keep it simple (500 ingredients just complicate things)
4) Not to eat to the point of exploding
5) Higher sodium foods are eaten for lunch and not dinner
6) As little caffeine as possible
7) Keep logging my food in a journal
8) Most of my daily choices must be healthy and useful to my body for fuel; eating is not just to please my tastebuds
9) I must exercise, unless I am too sick
10) No forbidden foods; just forbidden portion sizes
11) No calorie counting, unless more than 2 items are higher calorie
12) Keep slugging water and not to forget my daily suppliments
13) Show the world what I can do on my own!

They have tons of flavors to offer. I think the Blueberry is Limited Edition. The Pumpkin I know is for sure.
