I really love the sound of your determination in your list of new goals. I'm very glad to see that the Carrie I know is back and ready to kick some major butt. You did a great job at the gym tonight, it might take a couple days to get back into the swing of things...but it will come a lot easier to you than it would have a year ago. Keep up the awesome job!

Thanks guys;

I had a feeling I was going to be sore today; but as usual, it wasnt where I expected it to be. My quads and glutes should be screaming, but they arent. Actually it is my upper back (I blame the pair of anvils I have, that are stressing my back). Most women complain about losing their chest; I cant wait for mine to be gone. It is both embarrassing and painful (the day after) to work out with. I was going to try and run today but now I am not so sure.

For all of you Josh Groban fans out there; I made an accidental discovery last night. He has a new single out on ITunes called, "Dont Give Up (You Are Loved)." Shame on ITunes for not promoting it better. I think you can also hear a snipit of it on Josh's site (JoshGroban.com). I swear this song has my name written all over it; considering all the crap I have been going through these past few weeks. How appropriate that I found it the same night I decide to return from "giving up." New album hits stores on November 7th. I know I am going to be downloading it.

Ok time to get in the shower. (I dont wanna go to work....) But at least they cut my shift report time from 5-545am. Makes a huge difference. I am sure the end time is cut too so I should be done earlier than expected.

Ok so I finished my route an hour early today so I was able to go and weigh in. I lost 1.6 pounds. Not too shabby for a single days work. At first, I was upset with the number that I saw flashing back at me (because it is much higher than 145.2); but I had to immediately re-evaluate my thoughts when I realized that I dropped almost 2 pounds in a single day. Now all I have to do is string a bunch of days together and I will make some serious progress. I have decided to wait to juice until 2 days before I go home. I will be nervous then and not tempted to eat; and that will make the process easier. I bet I can lose 2-3 on the juicing alone. Already my face looks a little less puffy. I have 19 days (not counting today), to get to 140 pounds. I know I can do it. I just have to find the same intensity that I had last night; and keep bringing it to all I do.

I really really dont want to exercise tonight. Waited too long to go to the gym; so I am going to bike instead. My ankles could use the break, and the biking will burn off more fat since my heart rate wont be as elevated. Calorie burn will be lower. Tomorrow I plan on going to the gym and pounding on myself again.

Stuck to my diet today (sort of). Quiznos messed up my salad order and gave me a Honey Mustard Chicken Salad (has bacon). I asked for the Grilled Chicken Caesar. But I was so hungry; I didnt make an issue of it. There is a guy in there who always looks at me funny when I go in and it makes me uncomfortable. This is the second time the salad has been goofed up. But it doesnt happen often so I wont complain. I didnt eat the extra bread that came with it or the dressing. I counted the bacon as my last 1/2 protein serving. All in all; I behaved. I just need to scarf down 2.5 more glasses of water before I go to bed. I am sooo sick of water. But I am taking myself off caffeine until I go home next month. I should be off diet soda altogether so it wont make me bloat; but one every now and again wont kill me. All I have in the apartment now is Diet Rite and Sprite Zero.

I havent heard from Eric since Sept 6th when he wrote me back saying that he did think we could be friends and that if I wanted to do something to just call him and he would try and make time for us to do things. Well I have emailed him just to say hi and I left a phone message for him to call me while he was at work if he had any down time. I guess he has been busy. No big deal since I cant see him anyway. It would just be nice to hear from him a little more often. I have no doubt that the next time he sees me that he will be pleasantly surprised (I hope). I will be a changed woman through and through. I know that it will work between us; I just have to be very careful. Timing is everything. I know he couldnt find anyone out there better for him than I am. He will realize that when he experiences the new and improved me. The one he should have met 3 years ago.

Dreading doing the laundry tomorrow. It doesnt help that 2 of 4 washing machines are broken. I hope they have since been fixed or I will be doing laundry all day and I dont have the time or the patience. Then I am going to do some light cleaning since they are going to come in sometime this week to fix my garbage disposal (again). By tomorrow night all my stuff should be done and I will be able to enjoy a new episode of Extreme Makeover Home Edition. Series starts next Sunday. I cant wait for next week; most of my tv shows will be back for the year.

Ok enough stalling. Gotta crank out at least an hour on the bike.

Made myself do an hour and 3 mins on the bike while watching a movie. Should have gone through all of it, but I got lazy. The entire movie is 1 hr 47 mins...I have done much longer than that but I wasnt wearing my biking pants. Ouch...

100 cals burned
60% fat burn

I am starving but I dont have any food left. Off to slug more H2O.

well done on the recent weight loss but please don't fall into the trap of getting weighed every day. once a week is enough.

Good job on the bike! I wish I had a cardio machine at home I could go on while watching t.v. Especially TBL... only 3 more days!!! =)

I am also a fan of Extreme Makeover Home Edition... that show makes me cry everytime I watch it... the families are always so deserving.

Well I just got back from the gym. Today was another sweatfest. I did my usual hour on the elliptical stepper backwards on level 9 (my calves are going to hate me tomorrow) and went 4.61 miles. Then I did an hour on the treadmill with some incline and I was able to squeeze in a little run near the end. I went 3.23 miles on that. Total calorie burn was 803 and fat burn was 45%. Better but not great on the fat burn. Looks like I am going to have to do another hour on the bike tonight to get the fat cells moving. I am really starting to get annoyed with the staff at my gym. Why they feel the need to stare at me is beyond me. NO I am not paranoid. I got on the elliptical and 3 of them (all guys) were looking back at me. I got off the treadmill and one was on the elliptical looking directly at me and smiling. I catch them doing it when they arent in a group either. Other gym members look but that I dont care about. But the front desk staff/trainers are getting annoying. There are only so many places I can look when I am working out. Yes I am a lot stronger than I look. Just wait until I get to goal. Then they will have a good reason to stare.

Anyway, I am going to go and drown myself in the bathtub because I darn well deserve it. I will be back to answer journals a little later. Lunch is knocking me out. For those of you watching Extreme Makeover Home Ed tonight; it begins at 8pm and runs til 10pm. I am breakin' out the tissues early!
