~Missy in December~
It's hard to believe I need to start another journal already and that Christmas is right around the corner!! I'm pretty excited for Christmas this year, not sure why. I love the spirit around Christmas time...Matt always makes it fun for me. I don't really like dealing with the snow so much...it looks pretty, but walking/driving/cleaning my car off isn't fun. We got a little bit of snow last night...it looks pretty yucky out there today.
I dropped 2 more pounds this week, I was pretty happy yesterday when I saw that I was down on the scale. I've upped my intensity this last week and it's good to see it paid off. I increased my cardio 5 min a day..and I'm wondering if that slight change is what made the difference? I am doing 45 min now instead of 40.
I'm determined not to gain a lot of weight during the holidays. I have set certain limits for myself as to what I'm going to eat and what I'm not...whether I can stick to them or not is another story lol.
I don't have too much else going on here right now...it's time to make supper. Tonight we're having whole grain rice with green peas & hot peppers with some turkey breast.

I had to thank you -- you continue to post -- you continue to lose weight the right way. You struggle through plateaus, but you never give up. It seems like you stay calm, and keep at it, making adjustments and trying new things.
You are an example of what we all need to do. And it takes a long time -- it's hard, lonely, frustrating, and incredibly rewarding, I would imagine. But you keep your 'eye on the prize' as they say. It's a lifestyle for you, not a temporary diet or exercise plan. Which is the only way any of us can ever lose weight and keep it off.
So thanks for showing us that it can be done. I just wish there were more people who could see what you've done and be inspired by it.

You are awesome Missy!!
Have you updated pictures?
The gym I go to has this machine called an Arc Trainer, its my favorite now. For some reason I thought of you the first time I got on it.... "I bet Missy would think this was way cool" It targets your legs, tookus, and lower abs.
((((((((((muppet)))))))))))))) you are awesome too!

Thanks for the comments..it means a lot to hear people are proud of me especially since I can get so down/frustrated with myself. I've cried a lot of tears..still do..but I know I can get to where I want to be.
I have heard of the arc trainer...I think it's one of the ellipticals I used to always do when I did cardio...I have since found another one I like better...and because the wear & tear on the arc ones has made it so they aren't the greatest machines in my gym anymore.
I have some very exciting news!! I was sitting on one of the couches at the gym waiting for Matt to finish up and in walks Dennis...I'm like "hmmm, what's he doing here" ....he's coming back to work at my gym!!!!!!!!!!! I was super happy!! For those of you who don't know who Dennis is...he's my old trainer...he's the one who got me to change my whole attitude about weight loss..and to push myself...he's my true inspiration that kept me going while he was there. When he left I think part of my motivation went with him....so needless to say I was VERY happy to see him. I got the biggest hug too
In other great news...found out at work today they are giving us all raises since they have increased our work load. We are going to be on salary now...and I'm going to get between a $2.50-$4.50 raise. They are basing the raise on stats and my stats are amazing...so I'm hoping for the higher raise! Anyways, it doesn't go into effect until January...and we won't find out what our exact raise is until closer to then. It's going to drive me nuts not knowing! With the raise, I'm going to double my loan payments and raise my RRSP contributions.
We are getting a snow storm here today. It's been snowing and blowing all day...freezing rain off and on...and it's supposed to continue overnight and into tomorrow. It's the wet snow too...the yucky crap I can't stand to walk in *LOL*
Anyways...I'll be sure to post some pics up soon!!

The roads are terrible right now. It took me awhile to get home from the gym tonight and I only live a couple blocks away! Ahh well, better to go slow than to be in an accident. It snowed all day today..didn't even take a break lol.
At the gym I did my back, calves and traps today...and then did 40 min on the elliptical and burned off 400 cals even.
I'm excited for the show tonight...I really, REALLY want a woman to win it this year. I'm rooting for all the gals!

I got to watch some of the episode this week. I miss being able to watch it week after week, and really wish they would put it out on DVD. I know I would buy it!!!
Congrats on the weight loss once again! It's truely amazing how far you have come in just under 2 years. You're soooo close to your goal! I would also like to see some recent pics.

Just got finished from the gym. Today we did chest, and biceps and then spent 40 min doing cardio. I burned 420 cals today..pretty good.
I did a comparison using my before pic and a recent pic...sorry they aren't the same size...the pic at my highest weight was taken with a camera at the gym and not the same one I use here. You can get an idea though of how much I've changed.

OMG...I am so excited today!! I'm going to be training with Dennis again!! I want this last bit of weight off for my wedding...so he's going to kick my butt. They have a deal on right now for Christmas...that if you buy 12 sessions you get 3 free ones....THEN, Dennis comes up to me and says that if I take that deal that he would give me 10 MORE free sessions as a wedding gift!! I am super happy! So now I have 25 sessions for the price of 12. He wants me to train with him 2 times a week for a full hour and then I am to do 3 workouts a week on my own. Which means, I'll have about 3 months of training with him!
That really made my day I am going to be super buff & slender on my wedding day..I know I can do this!
Anyways, we did a legs workout today...muscles are pretty sore. We also did some lower back and ab weights. I spent 30 minutes on the elliptical and burned 300 cals today.
