Muppet's Journal and Exercise log
Hi folks. I've decided to start an exercise log here with my journal. One stop, one post and done. I've really liked posting an exercise log here previously. It was encouraging to see how much I've done, and also motivating because I don't like to leave more than one day at a time go by without exercise. I've been out of it the past week. I caught strep throat from one of my preschoolers and it about killed me. I had a head cold along with it and just to make it really fun TOM also arrived. But all is better now. I just have some issues with my head cold but I feel ready to start back up again. This really kicked me, and I know I need to take it easy. I'm just planning some yoga today, and maybe work in some cardio tomorrow.
I've missed this site. Weighins has some good things and some really great people, but it's just not the same! I had joined a walking challenge over there, but it's not at all like I expected. That's why I've come back here, so I can see how it all adds up.

It feels really good to do some physical activity again. I have been stressed out, besides getting sick last week, and it was really starting to catch up with me. Exercise, even the smallest amount, can really help to ease your mind.
Things are rolling with our move. We're ready to make an offer on a house, and get ours listed. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it will sell soon. But I just have to remember that everything will be all right in the end. It does no good to worry and stress out about things I can't control.
My cycle is all messed up. I think it's just from stress and being sick. But if it doesn't regulate itself soon, I'll have to go see the Dr. about it. I'm long over-due for a check up anyway.
My eating is awful, as usual. Well, maybe I shouldn't say that. I am eating nutritious food, but I'm also eating lots of junk.
I loved TBL last night. I too, would be discouraged after working so hard all week to only lose 2 or 3 pounds, but I'm also glad to see more realistic numbers. I'm also glad they pointed out that you never really know what your body's going to do. Some weeks, it seems like they can't drop the weight fast enough, and other times it seems like the body wants to hang on to it, no matter what.
I'm really trying to absorb what the trainers are teaching them at the ranch about eating especially. I have to work on getting some kind of protein in every meal. I'm doing so much better with the carbs though -- almost always whole grain.
OK -- enough for now.

I was going to get up early this morning and walk with Leslie, but that didn't work out. I'm having allergies or something. I don't usually suffer from them, but every so often, whatever is in the air can really bother me. So that left me with a short night, so I took advantage of that extra hour of sleep.
Glad I did too, since I was in the furniture moving business at work. OK, I may have exaggerated the weight by a million or so pound, but it was a heavy desk! I was sweating, and I knew that was enough of a workout for today!
I did much better eating today. I'm planning to keep that up. Now that the real estate ball is rolling, I'm going to be super busy trying to keep the house clean at all times. It's not easy keeping it all clean all at the same time.
I need a good night's sleep tonight, and am heading that way as soon as I'm done here.

I can't wait till this house gets listed and gets sold. Trying to keep it all clean all of the time is a giant pain in the butt.
They're showing it tomorrow. Wouldn't it be wonderful if these folks made an offer and we could skip the open houses and stuff like that? Not likely, but it doesn't hurt to keep my fingers crossed.
Eating was very good today. I ate a late lunch, and I don't know yet what I'll have for supper, but nothing too much. It seems I have allergies. I don't usually, but something is really bothering me now -- lots of sneezing, itchy eyes, and runny nose. I wish it would go away so I had the energy to do more exercise. But keeping everything clean is running me ragged right now. I will count that as my exercise.
Hope we all have nice weekends.

Just a guess, but could the allergy problem be related to the amount of cleaning and stuff that you're doing around your house? I know I'm limited in what kinds of cleaning products I can use because some of them make me feel pretty awful. I do better with things that are unscented.

That could be it, although I'm not using anything different than what I normally use. Maybe it's all the dust I'm kicking up! I have wondered about where I work though. It's in a basement, and they had water twice this summer. They did get the carpets cleaned, but in my opinion, they didn't do nearly enough to clean it up. There is mold down there. But I really don't notice a difference, having been away from it for more than a day now. It could just be a nasty head cold too-- or maybe a combination of everything.
I also seem to be dealing with a yeast infection. I am treating it as such -- I don't ever get them, but since I had been on antibiotics, it makes sense that that is what is probably is. It's not too bad right now, but did seem to be getting worse, so I decided to go ahead and treat it. Too much information?? Sorry!
The people who looked at the house today really liked it. I think it's between our house and one other one. It seems too good to be true, that it could possibly be sold to the first lookers. I guess it doesn't hurt to hope!
No official exercise today. I am exhausted, and really need to get some rest.
Later!

Ugh -- 1:30 AM and I am unable to sleep. I think I'm finally getting better. I'm just so anxious about moving -- showing and selling the house. Everything is going fine, but I let myself get so worked up. I know it sounds like whining, and I guess it is. But it's such a big house, and I want it to be perfect every time. I stress myself out, and get short with the kids.
I'm not thinking about diet and exercise much at all lately. I haven't felt up to exercise, but hopefully I will soon. And hopefully we will get an offer on the house soon. It was just listed this weekend and we've only had 1 couple look, but they've looked twice and said it was the nicest house they've looked at so far. Keeping fingers crossed!
I just need to know what's going to happen. I don't like this limbo we're living in. If I just knew when and where we were moving to, then I would be OK. There's a house we like, but the owners are asking too much, we think. We're trying to come together, but it might not work out. We may have to just rent something for now and build. I just wish I knew!
Well, I think I'm going to try and catch a few Z's.

Wow, my exercise log is looking pretty pathetic. Official 'exercise' is just not a priority with me now. I'm still not feeling that great though. Now I'm losing my voice, as the creeping crud keeps creeping. I have been sleeping better though, so I figure once my body gets some consistent good rest, I might get over this cold.
Good news-- an offer is being written up on my home as I write this. I'm hoping it's reasonable. Keeping fingers ever crossed!
