Where to start??

The rest of August was a roller coaster of a month. I qualified as a fitness instructor and I do advanced level on Sept 10th.

My son had his 1st birthday and it was an excellent time for us all. How quickly time flies though. Our tiny baby boy has grown into a little boy. In fact he's quite tall for his age and almost walking.

I lost my job too but it was a relief in a way, i was getting sick of the way managment were screwing up the company. I'm doing some IT consultancy stuff while also putting my new qualification to good use. I'm doing some personal training sessions as well as setting up my site Fitness Academy - Personalised Fitness and weight loss programs It's not quite finished but the main part of it is there.

so far this week I've done 2 days workout. it would have been more but I hurt my back on tuesday night. remember to maintain good form when weight lifting.

anyhow, if anyone would like a free appraisal let me know your height, weight age, sex and current amount of activity and i'll do the numbers for you

How's the training stuff coming along? Have you looked into getting clients and stuff yet?

Hi all

No clients yet but offering a free evaluation if anyone wants it (see above). Been really busy with work stuff. I'm doing some IT consultancy stuff as and when. Working out as normal recently including a 2 hour session on Saturday.

Had an excellent martial arts class last night. almost 2 hours of practise, stretching and a good 20 mins bout with the instructor. I won on points WOO HOO. Though he managed to catch me on the nose which put an end to things

recovered from wednesday night done all legs stuff on the weights today plus 3o mins carido, total 856 cals burned

I hadn't realised until I saw a photo from a BBQ at the weekend how much it looks like I've let myself go. So Until Xmas no booze, no chocolate and no more excuses, I should be doing 5 days a week at least workouts not 2-3.

did a long brisk walk last night as i couldn't get to the gym, pushing gabriel in his pram for a bit extra resistance

Tonight martial arts class. went really well, learned somke new kicks i'd not done before. wrestling techniques and a bit of sparring too. always worn out after and despite a shower and about 1litre of cold drinks since i'm still sweating lol

time to get ones arse in gear. my target is 1 kg per week loss for the next 6 weeks.

all weights workout today burning 760 calories. long walk tonight.

made a bit of a mess of my level 3 fitness instructor exam. mis understood the part about 75% of the marks for writing 3 different programs (antagonistic strength training, fitness program for type 2 diabetic, and circuit for asthmatic), wrote the 3 programs after a lot of research. printed off to hand in but was told i had to write them up during the exam without the aid of notes. mind a bit of a blank but gave it a go. Think I passed but with a low score. may have to resist but at least I'll know what i'm supposed to do next time.
